  • Good video, I had to see what a satellite looks like from the sky cos I saw 11 last nite but wasn’t sure if it was a UFO or satellites. I do have one question tho about satellites, well I saw 2 just fade away b4 my eyes note that I had binoculars on and was tracking it up close, do satellites do this? And they weren’t disappearing in the horizon the light just dimmed and disappeared.

  • its a fly

  • It's a fricken weather balloon...

  • @Wiltsos or it could be ice particles :)

  • @clkbateman Nh... I'm preeeeeeeeetty sure it's a weather balloon. I know what one looks like in the sky. :/ But maybe it is ice particles. lol. idk.

  • the ufo is probably just a bug or dust or something like that, but nice footage though

  • Its probably a bug.

  • nice

  • I cant find the ufo.... Where is it?

  • @RareCandeh Where it says "HERE" make sure you click 480p for a better picture

  • @clkbateman Oh, i see... but that can probably something else

  • it's a bug closer to the lens than it appears - great setup and capture

  • Could you give some detail on how your camera is mounted to the scope?

  • @loansharky Sure, i put the periscope on the garden table (still in its stand) then i got another tripod with my camera mounted and had that standing from the floor looking into the eye piece of the periscope. basic set up really. pity the camera wasnt a HD like today's cameras

  • @clkbateman Thanks, I need to build a stand for mine.

  • @loansharky you got one yourself ? i would love to see a few pictures - i have a brand new objective lens if you are interested

  • @clkbateman Check out my channel for a vid I caught last night with my rig. I'll do a vid on how I built my scope/cam setup soon.

  • @loansharky yeh would love to see your set up please :) nice vid btw

  • FRIGGEN UFOS!! The satelites we saw are moving at around 17,000 miles per hour. Manmade space objects don't travel near the speed of that thing!!

The violent change in direction is unlikely for a meteor, and when it does happen, it kind of skips off the atmosphere like a stone and changes direction slightly. Not as violent as that!

  • Nice Video, thx for posting

  • @Get0utOfTheMatrix No prob, any time.

  • Sir, i dont know if you are still watching the Sky. But i can guarantee that some "Shooting Stars" and "Satellites" are Crafts of that kind. (UFO).

Try to give some Signals with a Laser Pointer or something like that.. straight into the Sky above you. If there is Traffic.. you will see a a quantity of more "Shooting Stars" and "Satellites".

I am doin this by myself... No Joke.

    Peace

  • @ohLinx Thank you :)

  • mosquito?????

  • What you are seeing here is actually the pincushion distortion caused by the intensifier tube, not the lens. Gen 1 cascade tubes are known for severe distortion at the edges. Those steady objects are satellites, and your last object was most likely a bat. Larger flying insects, birds and bats are actually far enough out to be in the 'infinity' focus range of the lens.

  • ahhh cmmon! the lense is clearly distorting the image. did you notice how the first satellite seemed to enter at an angle and then continue on a slightly curved path? angular distortion is more visible on the far edges; no mystery

you can notice the same effect on all the other satellites if you look closely. that last thingy is probably a bug, but who can tell? the truth is out there...bye:D

  • i think i saw a satellite just a minute ago cause it was moving around that same speed.

  • it's very faint so maybe could be cosmic particles hitting the sensor but it could be a ufo.

make it watch every night. get some automatic software.

    what gen is the scope?

  • nice i never see one before

  • Great setup & footage you have there! Could the ufo have been a distant insect? It is very interesting, i wish it had hung around longer. Cool video, thanks!

  • no couldn't have been an insect as the lens was focused to infinity, Thank you for you kind words

  • @clkbateman (1) If that was Not an insect, then it was some "mind blowing technology"! A true ufo, which means "something" controlled that high speed turn. I wonder what, and from where? "Wow", very cool! (2) What kind of night vision are you using? Thanks.

  • @48alfaone

Its called a Fire Control Periscope also can be used in tanks as the sight, think it is 1970/80's the intensifier tube is a 3 stage gen1 giving the same performance as Gen2

  • @clkbateman can you tell me where i may buy one of theese devices? awsome footage mate thx

  • @ziggeh11 Got this from ebay, they are rather rare havent seen anything since only documentation. Glad you liked it

  • Yesterday while i was on my way back to New York on a plane at night it was amazing view of the moon and stars such a clear night like best thing ive seen in my life, anyways i couldnt take my eyes off the sky cause it was truly amazing, i seen a shooting star so bright, it lit up the sky and it was so fast!! it came from my POV over head and i could see it go way way down in the distance with a light trail behind it i gasped loud lol and a few other people did to on the plane that saw it to

  • @GeeeStatuz that sound cool, but did you make a wish! :D

  • @clkbateman you bet i did! haha

  • Why are there so many satellites over Australia? UFOs are alot harder to see!

  • I can see the same lights every night...never seen them changing the direction though

  • hate to tell ya... but ALL of those things are UFOs. Even the "meteor" is a ufo (shooting star is not the term to use). Meteors are NOT as fast as those 2 you captured... and they fizzle out. Satellites are not gonna be visible unless the sun is hitting them.

  • Comment removed

  • but do UFO exist?

  • @MubeenAdam I am 100% sure that their is life out their, and i am sure it is intelligent BUT the distances needed to travel from X to Y is too far and with the elements/materials that the universe has to offer to attempt those distances is NIL

  • Seriously cool piece of hardware...maybe the UFO were some cosmic rays interacting with the atmosphere?

  • da 2nd shooting star i dnt think is a ufo probaly somting a greater gravity is probaly pullin it or just alot of dust from it bein burned idk it cud be a ufo im just a 11yr old kid

  • hi ! im a nightwatcher myself , love to look the sky for hours. i wanted to ask you how do satellites look by the naked eye ? like a slow moving star ? i think i saw some before but today i saw a white light passing by , no blinking , no other lights. at first it seemed to be a plane but i never saw a plane not blink or flash and ive seen hundreds. it was way too bright for a star. i caught it on camera, if you want me to post it ?

last one , ufo. nice catch.

  • @deady6yeca I have a video with a plane that has 7 white lights and non of them flashing. It is being followed by another commercial plane that has the red and green light and a flashing white light. Pretty strange. If you want to see it it is on my channel.

  • where can i get one of Dem things mate.

  • @Cizza225

its a fairly rare scope now, made back in the 80's for tanks and fire control. been looking for 2 year for another because they are so good, but no joy.

  • I think your UFO might actually be 2 satellites intersecting at right angles to each other with one fading in just as the other fades out.

  • amazing footage, but what u call a ufo might just be a grain of dust, a little hair or any other supersmall thing on the lens.

    awesome footage anyway.

  • @deadgent the lens is focused to infinity meaning it wont pick anything up on the lens, i can put my hand over it and the only thing it will do is get darker.

  • @deadgent

    it was wheather balloon -_-

  • @jeka100 lol also could be ice particles ;)

  • @deadgent Erhm. idk. most grains of dust i see flying through the air move in speratic movements haha

  • well done mate good vid you have got som thing for shore

  • IT's a BAT, its at night because they are nocturnal and they are fast and change directions quickly

  • i just saw a shooting star and it's christmas eve. so pretty and special! merry christmas!

  • hi my dad is a CIA capt. and he tests out planes and crafts last night on the lunar eclipse he calledme saying he will pass over florida were i live ! he sed he waz gonna fly a TR45B thing so i looked it up and it is the most fown thing by da CIA so it could be TR3B or TR45B !idk . by the way i saw my dads UFO ! yay

    !!!

  • its bugs light

  • make a wish haha

  • @Mp7Mod

I did and still haven't won the lottery haha

  • I'm not exactly a UFO enthusiast but you have some pretty good footage there.

  • airoplaine

  • no such thing as ufo's guys we r the aliens..we dont understand nothing about space so unusal activity is beyond our understanding..good vid clip tho shows how much we really r under surveylance

  • bugs bitch

  • bugs

  • @MyWordizBond bunny

  • @clkbateman is....

  • hi i live in cornwall in uk last night i saw 4 shooting stars from my attic room it was the first time i saw them i did not know what it was first cause i never knew you could see shooting stars like that without any equipment but dig some research it appears to be shooting stars but last year i had seen about 4 ufo's my first ever was the so called TR3B which i believe to be an american

  • @maknobi86 yeh i think ive got a video of that "TR3B" its called RAW UFO - check it out.

    shooting stars are very common

  • hmmm.. The other day my dad told me he saw something in the sky..

    He Described it as

    'Brighter than a star'

He also said it was right next to a star.. and that it was moving very fast..

Any ideas what this could be?.

    Not a plane.. A Plane wouldn't be as bright.. :) x

  • @RippedTuxedos

hmm, could either be a shooting star or satellite, a plane you would see flashing.

i just dont know on this one. :( x

  • I have no problem seeing satelites with naked eye :-)

    Good video!

  • @Merlinslady you must have good eyes :)

  • @clkbateman I wear glasses :-) It's just a case of lying on a garden recliner outside on a starry summer night and watching the sky. One of my fave activities!

  • that one "turning" might just be a little closer to home than the other ones. the curve is the trajectory angle

  • ive seen those satallites before its crazy but the only time ive seen tthem is around 3 or 4 am

  • can we see satellites with naked eye?

  • @bestozesto some times yes, only if you got a good eye and look up in a rural area (no light pollution). i personally have never seen one with the naked eye.

  • @bestozesto yep, you can! I see them a lot. they're best seen shortly after dark (in the summer, something like 9:00pm - 11:00pm) before they are behind the earth's shadow. any later than that, the sun is on the other side of the earth, and there's no sunlight for the satellites to reflect.

  • @bestozesto - I've seen satellites with a naked eye both in London and in India. In India was camping in the desert on right near the border of Pakistan so it's an area of conflict, hence the satellites. There was a 3/4 moon that night but because it was desert it was very easy to see satellites. I also saw two in London about 7 years ago, right over my hous, they moved in parrellel lines, synchronised with eachother and looked like stars and then just stopped.

  • that is stoning of the satans

  • it could be a fly..

  • @Oran95x1 no it's not, please read rest of posts as it's already been discused

  • mabye the "UFO" was a shooting star that was being sucked in a black hole?!?

  • @oliverlc7 not, a "shooting star" is meteorite entering the earths atmosphere

  • Dude the UFO i seen the same thing last summer i was like HOLY SHIIZZLES i wonder what it was

  • thts so cool

  • @go2leg6horse thank you

  • this is friggin awsom i am a night watcher myhself and the laft one i had an explanation, light flare reflection, but at slowmotion......awsome yo have something there sir.......this i agree with you UFO ..at this speed and turning..humm

    gr8

  • Could you tell me what kind of camera that is used for this? Thank you.

  • @eburt6 The camera is a "Nikon coolpix S210"

  • @clkbateman in all seriousness, what type of video camera did you use

  • @eburt6 a crappy nikon s210

  • when you say satelites, do you mean like man made satelites, or do you mean like small asteroids?

  • @AshLiiid man made satelites

  • i'd do that if, our skies in the UK werent so fucking cloudy! lol

not sure about that ufo one.

    great video m8

  • @vxSMOKEYxv where abouts in the UK are you? I live in Surrey and last night I was up at the Newlands Corner hill in Guildford, the sky was perfectly clear and saw tonnes of shooting stars and satellites.. some really impressive shooting stars last night, think it was a meteor shower or something, the hill was packed at about 1am.

  • @inmepete

i live in gloucester. i stayed up till about 2.30am looking for those shooting stars, did not see one lol the skies were fairly clear last night, might have seen a few or its my eyes playng tricks on me. dunno. lol

  • you might of been really lucky and seen two shooting starts that just so happened to be next to each other?

  • @MrJcadwell those are satellites not shooting stars

  • @clkbateman lol thats why he tagged the satellites and the shooting stars

    2:13

  • Last night me and my boyfriend saw 4 satellites and 3 shooting stars it was frickin' amazing! i had never seen a shooting star before, and tonight we saw 3 satellites and one shooting star, space is awesome!

  • maybe a fly on your camera...

  • @jordwillo no, it has already been talked about, the scope is focused to the distance, i could put my hand 1meter over the scope and all it would do is get slightly dark

  • Nice Video! I live in Utah and have been seeing these daytime UFO's. Then at night I see what your first 4 satellites looked like. But are we sure these are satellites?? I have seen 7 go by with in 20 minutes in the same direction. Its all very weird....the daytime UFOs me and my family witnessed were intelligently controlled vehicles.

  • hey guys i saw this stars this night !!!!! its awesome

  • Nice man!!!!!!

  • @Josh7711Dub

11/28/1954 Sylacauga, Alabama, USA - 4 kg meteorite struck home, lady injured.

  • How can you tell if they are satellites or shooting stars because I think I saw a shooting star.

  • I heard some people with knowhow around this things say that anything that comes between the lens and the target will be in full focus and clearity cus of the ccd tech, don't know if it's correct but that is what I heard? very impressive gear you have, how much did it cost? I would like to have something simular

  • Not a bug. First the unit would be focused to infinity. Ever focused on something in the distance through a chain link fence. You don't see the fence. Only a barely discernible blur. Great video.

  • @blackeyesforyou

    This is true, Thank you

  • i was in laughlin last night and saw 2 satellites and 2 shooting stars, it was amazing!!!

  • @bra2bri

The first time I saw a shooting star was when I was taking a leak down a back alley. minding my own business i looked up to the night sky and saw a short line in the sky for a brief second

  • It could be a bug couldn't it?

  • @gbroncosg

the scope is magnified and focused to the distance so it wouldn't pick up tiny object like a nearby insect/bug

  • Great video. The UFO did a U turn, as if it knew you were recording, got shy and then decided to go away haha. A meteorite bouncing off the Earths atmosphere is an absurd idea because as said before, you wouldn't see it as it had not yet started to burn due to resistance with our atmosphere.

  • That's so cool but I only saw one really fast shooting star and Iam looking for a good telescope and a website that tells me when there's going to be a lot of shooting stars or a meteor shower

  • An alien comrade dipping from the scene, he knew he was caught.

  • i think its kind of a bug or insect ..

  • i don't see shit. :-l

  • can someone please tell me if a shooting star is supposed to zig zag in an abnormal left to right then circular like turning motion, because i just saw one like an hour ago,it was very faint almost orange in transparency

  • how do u know when to record?

  • @99F

i leave the camera to record for about half an hour and then watch it back on the computer.

  • I'm from Toronto. I saw it at about 10:30 PM in the east, and then the second time I saw it it was in the north. I'm going to observe the night sky tonight I have a feeling I wlil see it again.

  • the sattelittes changing direction are crazy, and that "UFO" sighting is interesting. I have it in quotes because obviously its hard to tell what it is

  • I came across this video because I just happened to see a moving star in the sky a few hours ago. I thought it was a UFO but it looks very similar to the satellites in this video. The only difference is that what I saw was much lighter, looked like a star, and it disappeared and then reappeared somewhere else. It was moving left and then it disappered and then I saw it somewhere else but moving up. I want to know if what I saw was a satellite or UFO.

  • @asexynurse

Could be a bird? doesnt sound like a Satellite. some Satellites do disseaper because of the angle of the solar panals and the fact that the earth blocks the suns light from reflecting (like the moon) when it orbits.

keep your eyes open and maybe record. what location are you?

  • @asexynurse meee too,!! i saw a shooting star and was curious to see what they had on here. lol

  • What you saw was a shooting star bouncing off the Earth's atmosphere.

If a meteorite doesn't come into the Earth's atmosphere at the right angle, it will bounce off the atmosphere and head back into space, like this meteor did.

NASA was scared back in 1970 when they were concerned that Apollo 13 might hit the Earth;s atmosphere at the wrong trajectory and bounce back into deep space.

Pilot John L.Swigert got them back into the Earth's atmosphere safely.

  • @planetcheck

shooting stars are only visible when meteorite enters the earth atmosphere and burns. and you quote

"What you saw was a shooting star bouncing off the Earth's atmosphere."

So.. if it bounched off how was it visible as it didnt enter the atmosphere to burn a light.

  • @clkbateman

The exosphere is the uppermost layer of the atmosphere.

It is about 340 miles high in the air.

That is where this meteor is.

At that height it has the option of entering the atmosphere or heading back into space as long as it has the velocity to do so and it does.

This meteor skimmed the exosphere and then headed out into space.

You can see it clearly skimming and then turning right and back up into space.

It's a pretty cool meteor to watch on video!

  • very nice ! :) ty for the video

  • Those objects you say are Satellites seem to be moving too fast to be

Satellites! WOW that ufo that changes direction looks like its doing 100,000 mph or more in les than a second ! awsome footage!

  • excellent stuff.. That sucker is moving fast...

  • @UFOmember

    cheers Very much

  • looks like it realized you saw it and got outta there hehe

  • Ahh May i ask how much you paid for it? Iv search ebay and the net but can find very little info.

  • @andycx2 £2000

  • @clkbateman £2000 are you mad LOL I thought maybe about £200 lol. Why buy it?

It also weird how you got the satellites so late a night they normally are only visible for an hour or so after sun set.

  • thats how much i want for it if ever i want too sell it.

  • @clkbateman You could almost get a gen 3 for that. Id just buy the tube for £30 off ebay lol

  • @andycx2

This is true, but what about the huge optics and specially heat treated aluminium, and the fact that it is a rare piece, eh eh lol

ill see for £1900 for you

  • Hi great videos. Can i ask where you got that Periscope L3A1? How much did cost and how do you actually get the video footage from it?

Id really be interested in buying something like that.

  • @andycx2

I got the Periscope from ebay and i just recorded using another tripod with my "nikon coolpix s210" camera pointing to the eyepiece.

    Thanks, glad you liked it

  • Na i dont want to buy it. I bet you paid a couple of hundred for it on ebay max lol

  • Wow, this is amazing!

Also, thank you for labeling the "items".

I actually think that is a U.F.O.! Better be careful, the government is going to come knocking down your door :P

Anyway, I love looking at the night sky! I've seen one shooting star before a lot of "falling" stars. Stars that move very slowly... Or are those sattellites? They seem to disappear out of no where though!

I have questions to ask you. Do you mind?

BTW; what are video taping with? Where can I get it? how much?

  • very odd the last one did like a u-turn...wtf? UFO

  • cool

  • That.. was... AWESOME!!

  • you really make me angry, cause you are really stupid, you know? dumb, you are dumb, but if you try you can get better, im telling you not to break you but to guide u. All thoses moving lights you see are UFOs, nothing else.

  • @kayvun what the hell???

  • Random>>/??//??

  • cool UFO catch & a very cool Night Vision Periscope tool you have shown us.

    I want one...LOL

  • FREAKY!!

it's a naans oh na which is a UFO.

  • Something actually flys downward from the top center of the screen, you can see it in the slow motion. I'm wondering if you're seeing an insect, and the part you saw is just the contiuation of this insect. It swirls around like a flying insect.

  • Yea I see this kinda thing all the time when I go out to the country. One night we were out in the middle of nowhere in Canada and 4 things which we thought were stars just started flying away and they changed directions too. Satellites don't change directions rapidly like that do they?

  • this is kind da boring so im going to play hitman

  • holy crap

  • a bat

  • could be. but what if it isnt????????

will we even know the truth?

  • I saw a couple UFO's tonight with the naked eye.. they looked like stars, very far away and bright, moved quickly accross part of the sky, 2 of them following eachother. then just suddenly dissapeared. They couldnt have been shooting stars because they left absolutely no streak and didnt move at the speed of shooting stars, about half as quick. I didnt notice if they changed direction or not, but one was clearly following the other and then they just disappeared.
