When a man lacks lust and hatred, His renunciation does not waver. He neither longs for one thing Nor loathes its opposite: The chains of his delusion Are soon cast off.
Chet Baker is a jazz icon, I wish he was still alive and producing his great trumpet solos. We will not see his like again, he was one of a kind......................Ed
This foolish song, reminds me of Chet. Nobody plays jazz ballads any better. All of you Botti fans (I'm one of them) go get "Italian Sessions" from Chet, you'll be literally blown away
No one does it like Chet, man. No one. Listen to this! No electronics. No big production. No big stage set with pillows or curtains. This tune exemplifies what music IS, man.
Is it my imagination. The trumpet seems far away and the guitar seems close.Maybe it was intentional.Perhaps that is why it is so haunting. The mystic of Chet Baker.Beautiful.Thanks for posting.
nothing is ever rushed with chet, never forced...always just right. every time i listen to him i say "i want to play like that". but who can? he was the best.

man what a good looking guy he used to be! he started in with the drugs and booze, the fights and by the 70-s when he was 40 something, he looked like he was 65.
man i used to shoot dope and get all fucked up, but an overdose actually saved my life! i dont know what was going on in chets head EXACTLY, but i can relate on how junkies feel and think....
do you really think it was an accident the way he died? accidently falling out of a window....
