  • hey im taking mine to pawleys island for xmas and i wanted to know how much sand you got in it. and how did you get it out?

    thanks

  • It depends on whet you are going to be running. If it is open wheel like an E-Maxx, it isn't to bad filling up with sand. If it is a closed wheel like a Slash, I wouldn't. I have run my Slash 2x4 and it wasn't even worth taking, no traction. Ive also run my 4x4 Slash. It does a lot better but fills up with sand almost immediately. That causes excessive weight and makes the motor overheat very quickly.

  • As far as cleaning it, if it is a waterproof setup, I just use a hose. But when I get home I completely dismantle the entire truck. I mean everything. I rebuild the diff's, the tranny, shocks, everything. I seriously take every screw out and clean every piece. I also clean and or replace the bearings if needed. It is a lot of work believe me, almost not worth it. I will only be taking one truck next beach trip, only problem is deciding which one to take. Have fun.

  • is it the slash 4x4 ultimate??

  • @Mulli2804 No it is a regular Slash 4x4

  • how do you mount the cam with the suction cup or ?? thx (sorry my english is bad)

  • I mainly use the included mounts.

  • What is the jeep?

  • I said what it was in the ending of the video, but it is an Axial SCX10 Honcho.

  • nice vid again but when come a new vid

if you want do a vid with al traxxas cars wich you own

  • I'll do another vid when I am ready to.

  • that slash looks perfect in the sand =)

  • u ar the best budy but what program for edit video are you use or for slow motion

  • I use Adobe Premiere Pro, but the slow mo is all in the camera. I use a Casio EX-F1 that films at 300fps.

  • Great video!!!

  • is the orange buggy the 1/16 slash? and witch do u like more 1/16 slash or 1/16 erevo

  • No it is my Slash 4x4. I don't know much about the 1/16th slash except that a few people I know don't really like it that much. I love my E-Revo 1/16th.

  • will sand hurt it?

  • If it gets in the gears it could. After you run in the sand, make sure you get the sand out of all the moving parts.

  • @mempey how do u even clean it

  • Compressed air if it isn't waterproof, or a water hose with light water pressure if it is waterproof.

  • I use a GoPro HD Hero

  • do you do any "sandproofing" on your rc's?

  • Not really, Just make sure your receiver is protected.

  • Comment removed

  • @mempey thanks i'm just starting outand would like which is better. The faster summit or the more realistic 4x4's like the axial

  • You can't really compare them. A summit is faster, an Axial is slower, but there are many other differences. Axial's are crawlers, and yes the Summit will kind of crawl, but not very well. It is more for bashing and driving over light obsticals.

  • @mempey thanks:)

  • Great video man!

  • This video is just plain AWESOME!

  • Thanks!

  • Great video!

  • Thank you!

  • best video ever dude.

  • hey man my uncle has a house on pawleys island! this makes me wanna take my slash 4x4 there, maybe il see you there next summer! does it not eat up your rc's?

  • You do have to clean them up right after running. The only thing that has really happened to mine is that the screws rust.

  • brave mand getting sand in all of your components

  • whats the song

  • Seventh Seal by Van Halen

  • Why can't I watch on iPod?

  • This video is just straight up AWESOME!! Good Job!!

  • Thanks!

  • any upgradees

  • very well done video

  • that slo mo at 1:00 was amazing man!!! also do you know jetlag2222?

  • Thanks, I love slow mo. Yeah I know Jetlag, he is a great fiend. Have you seen his "J & M summer bash" video? I'm the M in that video.

  • what brand made that jeep?

  • @ThePJSamson its an axial scx10

  • what kind of a camera do u use for the slow motion?

  • nice vid , can u realy drive at the beach with your slash ? i tried this too , but mine the motor was getting rally hot ......

  • again awesome video!!! may i will do the same in turkey ;)

  • is there anything you did to prevent sand from getting in the brushes????

  • Amazing action video again! How easy is to drive and record at the same time???

  • Wow another awesome vid!

  • Looks like great fun at the beach! Top vid! ;-)

  • Awesome, looked like a fun day, love the effort u put in to your cam work..it makes all the difference.

  • Dude! I love it! The slash is awesome!

  • is that ur mini ervo

  • ah man seeing the sand spit out of the buggy in solo motion is amazing! Keep up the awesome work! Thumb's up.

  • do u have to sand proof your vehicles?

  • Not really, sand gets in everywhere no matter what you do. It is a must for them to be waterproof so you can hose them off after you are done, if not take all of the electronics off of the model and then rinse them off. I ALWAYS take them apart before running them when I get home. All moving parts, gears, drive trains, diffs, shocks, and axles. Everything needs to be cleaned and lubed so it doesn't destroy anything. If sand stays in anything it will wear it out.

  • this is some of your best work thumbs way up!!!! and favorited!!!!!!!!!!!!! great job dude btw were is your e maxx i havent seen it in a while did you sell it?

  • Thanks! I still have the E-Maxx, I just don't run it much.

  • @mempey cool could you maby make an update vid somday so we cam see all ur cars your realy building a colection

  • I'm still watching it (again) lol. The climbing sequences with the jeep and then stopping on top of the rock ledge looks like a jeep commercial. :) Awesome!

  • Thanks man, it was a ton of fun making the video. I thought it would be cool to show off the Jeep body like that. Glad you liked it. Only in a Jeep, you know what I mean. lol.

  • That was kick-ass buddy! Really nice footage!! Loved the music/video sync too. Looks like you guys had a lot of fun and I love the new bodies! Killer vid!!

  • Thanks Dude! We had a great week that was over too quickly.

  • u r back where did you go

  • Awesome video! Did you have to do anything special to run these in the sand?

  • No, just clean the heck out of them after.

  • please do more of this beach bashing or sand bashing and looks like the e revo is loving it lol. great vid!

  • I will next year on vacation again.

  • awesome! may i assume youre using magix editing software since vegas doesnt do slow motion very well?

  • No I use Adobe Premiere Pro. I shot with my GoPro HD Hero at 60 fps, and the really slow stuff was shot with my Casio EX-F1 at 300 fps. I've never used Vegas.

  • great vid as always!

  • Thanks!

  • awesome!!

  • Thanks man!
