If you havent heard about it at your school, ask the teachers. If your school doesnt do it then you might want to see if you can loan a reborn doll, or if you can babysit a friend or reletives child for the night! :) hope this helps!

This model is much more high maintenence. The models at our school have something sorta like keys. And each key has a label (diaper, food, attention,etc) and you just take one of the keys, theres an opening at the back and you just stick the key in it, which is easier than this actually. I'm getting mine in October(:

Secondly, an adopted child would not be -my- child. I might grow to love them, but I don't think I could ever bond with them the way one bonds with a child of their own blood. i had to take care of one of these for a trial experiment for school since the school i went to was so low budget we didn't have these for health until three simulator dolls were donated to the school. I must say this doll did interrupt class time, take up free time and what not but the year i did this (Jr. Year) I had some depression and even mentioned to a school councelor some suicidal ideas (of course I never attempted anything i was just angry) Bottom line, this project healed my depression

This is such a retarded idea. High school students have homework, sports, and much more important things to worry about than taking care of a plastic baby. The students who are most likely to have a baby at a young age are also usually the ones that couldn't give a damn about a project like this, so really, its just detracting from the students who do care about school and spend their time doing productive things.

My two real babies never drank from a bottle. They were both breastfed. I thought the lack of anything resembling the option to breastfeed, perhaps by letting girls wear a cute button on the front of their shirts that triggers the babies' feeding sensors.
@ReneeK1980 I brought one home last year and This comming school year will be bringing one home again. My teacher did give us a clip that you clip on your shirt to simulate brestfeeding it actually was easier late at night to use! But im glad someone else was thinking about that. These babies are ridiculous. They don't do anything a real baby does. It makes people to not want to have children because all they do is cry. They don't smile or show any emotion other than cry. Seriously? We're teenagers. We're going to think that all babies cry all the time if we haven't taken care of a real one before. This project will eliminate the human race.

I think this is a really good thing, I think all girls and boys should have one to take home for a weekend as home work at about 12-13.Very intresting.

My two real babies never drank from a bottle. They were both breastfed. I thought the lack of anything resembling the option to breastfeed, perhaps by letting girls wear a cute button on the front of their shirts that triggers the babies' feeding sensors.

@ReneeK1980 I brought one home last year and This comming school year will be bringing one home again. My teacher did give us a clip that you clip on your shirt to simulate brestfeeding it actually was easier late at night to use! But im glad someone else was thinking about that. I guess not every teacher does it

I hated my Baby. after the baby left I kept waking up a night expecting to hear a baby cry. LOL I was so tried. I think my baby was a evil or something....or just broken idk. I woke up freakin' six times once!!

@DefineDelicate aaw lol.the baby wasnt evil.that just ,mean ur not ready to be a parent.my big sis had one.she said it was really fun and shes 17(im not saying shes ready):P.but some people are mentally responsible.btw,im 11 and i cant wait until i have a baby project .:-)

@ceeceefiya well...I was 16 then and I'm 21 now and I help raise my Nephews now so I think I've learned a lot with age. I had the baby years ago! LOL so far my Nephews are turning out great. haha.

I have this thing right now, it's not fun. I'm in child development so had to take one home for the weekend..It cries at 5 in the morning, and every hour after that, and people think your crazy when you walk around with this plastic looking baby as well as when it cries and your in the middle of dinner at a restaurant or something.

i have that dang baby right now.
its asleep thank god.
i accidently let the neck hang while i was burpin it and omg its sooo loud when it screams and takes a while to calm it down.

it just depends on your schools curriculum. for me, it's the end of 8th grade, if you take family and consumer science.

i had to use one of these when i was in the "20th century sister hood" club at my middle school. ah, good times. sad thing was i was the only girl that got an A on that parenting project. i miss my little hunter. i loved the experience.
