Getting Clear Stamps Ready to Stamp

Hi there, I've just conditioned my stamps (it looked opaque and not sticky), tried to rub distress ink but it doesn't seem to stick on stamps well. What could be the problem? Thanks. :)

Great idea, but they are called Kneaded Eraser.

any craft store I bought mine at michaels but you can get one in the drafting section of any craft store by the colored pencils
