I think watching Jools Hollnad is currently the best thing you can do to improve your taste in music. Watching a steady stream of great bands you've probably never heard of.
Fue por una buena pelicula que llegué a esta buena canción hace un tiempo atras. Y todabia la sigo escuchando... espero ver la pelicula en mas ocaciones.
@1hadagayname "i saw em on tv as well, and i have friends and family whom have been to thier gigs and all say the same thing- they are really shit live, they make a good record."
Your so wrong its unbelievable I saw them the other day playing at Bristol o2 17/11/2010
There live sound is just as good as their tracks on the album but you get a better vibe from the gig and the band had an amazing sound, It is clearly down to the sound in this video!
Is the drummer not the guy from Libertines and the guitarist Anthony Rossamondo of Dirty Pretty Things? I think the drummer quit just before this performance.
@Niaboc10 It sure does look like the Libs drummer. He has the exact same playing style. Trust me on that- I'm a drummer. That is a really good observation
they are amazing live, its the drummer thats not hitting the right notes...hes going to slow and with the beats too far apart, see them play this same song on letterman it sounds amazing...
you really are full of shit, hes playing a slightly different drum variation in this rendition of the song and, its really the eq of the acoustic (needs more bass and mids) and the lead electric that also needs some of the same.... sounds to me like they have a shit sound guy or a shit idea of what a great sound is...
they are either shit live...or they have a crap sound guy. seriously how can you guys say they sound nice? on the over produce record they sound great but this is pretty lame
i saw em on tv as well, and i have friends and family whom have been to thier gigs and all say the same thing- they are really shit live, they make a good record.
I know it's been said to death, but I think it's fantastic that Anthony and Gary are playing for them here. Two fantastic musicians playing for another awesome band.
i'm still getting used to the new songs... its a big change from their first one. although i do like some of there new songs.... ghouls, this one, and impatience
The extra members aren't actually part of the band, its just the vocalist and the bassist that are the band now, the drummer left and the other members are just back up musicians.
I can see where your coming from about the new album but stick with it and the hooks will stick in. Tonight is probably the closest thing to WLAS but i don't think the 80s tinge is a particularly bad thing. they couldn't put the same album out twice or ppl wud get bored
well There two songs on myspace on their new album is really different from im use to. I listen to all their oldies even their bsides and its really different. So far i like Lets see it. After hours is a single so i cant count it.
They did, the drummer left, and they got a rhythm guitarist and drummer for touring only. So the official number of band members in WAS is two, Keith Murray (lead singer, guitarist) and Chris Cain (bass).
scratch the View lead singer thing...its Ant Rossomando from dirty pretty things....guessin they got some mates in to help whilst they look for a new drummer and guitarist?buuut, on their website theres a pic of a drummer with a tat on his arm....who knows...the new album cover only features chris and keith on the front so maybe they'll just get a touring band together and take the royalties for themselves...thats what i would so anyway lol
yea looks like gary from dirty pretty things (libertines are no more people...lets move on) and for a second i thought the guy on the acoustic was the lead singer from The View?? but im sure it wasnt....and the guy on the keyboard thing is called Max Hart i think!quality song too, def a grower
Is that the libertines guy drumming?
