yes, but then again, if your going to be watching statues play music, why even go, you'll get exactly the same effect listening to album while staring at statues. i mean bands like The Who, Iron Maiden, and ACDC, all had/have amazing stage presences. you can't ignore Angus young and Brian Johnson, or Pete Townshed and Robert Daltrey, and the entire band of Iron maiden, and all make/made amazing music. i don't remember the last time i saw guitar slide.

Though they are kinda boring to watch, this band has some of the greatest musicians. Especially Mike, Rudess and Petrucci. Myung is great, too. And since he is Asian, no wonder he is so good, because Asians excel in most fields they choose (do some research on it). LaBrie is a great singer with a great range and voice, but he is sometimes off-key in some live concerts (e.g, In The Name Of God in Budokan). Yes they deserve a better vocalist/frontman, but he is doing a great job, so...

Actually DT's new drummer is a fuckin beast. His name's Mike Mangini and he holds 5 WFD (World's Fastest Drummer) Records. That said, he's not one of those shitty players who relies completely on speed. He does utilize it nicely though.

Another incredible prog rock band from the past (the most incredible band that nobody's ever heard of) is GENTLE GIANT from the '70's. Check them out: start with "Free Hand" and just take it from there.
