  • Thank you for showing me these experiments. They are good to know and you make them easy to repeat them at home. Thanks! ;-)

  • @sMartcreations2010 Thank you for the compliment...

If you like to play with magnets, Eddy Currents and Lenz´s Law are the basic knowledge and a must know!

I like to make it easy to understand and to reproduce cuz it´s the real deal...

    Cheers...

  • Is it possible that you are demonstrating Lenz's law? An example would be when you drop a sphere magnet down a copper pipe. There is an example of Lenz's law on my you tube site as well. Great experiments! KEEP ON KEEPIN ON! SCOTT :O)

  • @scooterscottii Yes! The Lenz´s Force in my understanding are the Eddy Currents....

and the Lenz´s Law explains the direction of that force...

  • i was thinking about this yesterday playing with hard drive magnets and aluminum.

have you ever tried winding a coil around an aluminum core to see if the wires induct from the eddy?

  • @Magneticitist Not yet, but i think the aluminum will get warm or act like a capacitor... i should try that :-] THX

  • I've heard that's how they seperate aluminum cans from garbage on a conveyor, the cans just jump off the belt.

  • a good demostration of the eddy currents....! thanks for sharing...!

  • @skycollection Thank you.
