  • Man he is such a fucking psycho in this scene. Perfect.

  • I love it when she says there are so many options possible :) while he is scanning through knives :D

  • Maybe. I dont know. Not really.

  • The head inside the refrigerator...I bet a lot of the viewers who saw this video commented on it.

  • Jean how do you want to go to Dorsia, if even elite isn't allowed in there.

  • 4:50 "I need it for uhh.... returning video tapes."

  • NO!

    PUT IT IN THE CARTON!

  • Oh, let me take a reservation at dorsia.

  • HE LOOKS SO HOT HERE GOD.

  • so dorcia is where jean wants to go. you didnt leave a name. they know me

  • you can always be thinner, look better....i tell this to myself all the time when i get hungry or when i dont wanna workout

  • He's actually rather charming when hes with Jean.

  • I wonder what made Patrick restrain himself from killing Jean... Anyone?

  • @OhSeeyou I think she reminds him of a real person. Patrick is totally and completely involved in a world where materialism is the most important thing in the world. Commercial success and banality is all that matters, and it is this that drives him to his insanity. Jean represents a normal person, outside of this successful, materialistic bubble. It's almost like she brings him back down to earth, even if its for a split second. I think he feels deep down that she deserves to live.

  • @XxVictoriaNomadxX someone else's.

  • he should have said: NO BITCH PLEASE PUT IN THE CARTON and then gave her the nails straight into her eyes

  • nice array of Global knives there

  • this scene is the only one that doesn't fit with the rest of the movie. at this point in, the movie already established that he's a primary psychopath, not a secondary psychopath meaning he wasnt tought or exposed to pschycotic behaviours from his environment to sculpt him into one himself but rather he was born with the conscience part of his brain already missing (primary). so why is he being thoughtfull to the survival of his secretary at this point he wasnt thinking ofher secretarial benefit

  • @strapinhotpockets

What are you an admiring psych major or just became a psych major?

There are two simple answers: 1) It's a movie not a documentary or even a mockumentary. They care more for establishing plot and characters as they see than to be accurate.

    2) Not everything is by the book. ESPECIALLY the field of human psychology. Only topic in life that's by the book is mathematics (until Alice in Wonderland happened) and logic and reasoning.

  • @strapinhotpockets Maybe he just wanted this to be a good one.

  • Duct tape! I need it for... taping something! lol

  • Is it just me or is Jean's dorkiness and awkwardness just a little bit cute? Plus she wants to better herself, not like the other parasites who care more about catering to their egos and their careers while still being hollow and unfulfilled on the inside. I think that's why Patrich really decided to spare her, because unlike the others she didn't invoke his rage.

  • Maybe, I don't know, not really.

  • just because she soiled the glass table she deserved a horrible death

  • she has a complete lack of self-confidence. I hate this kind of chicks

  • she's such a bore and a dork... that's what saved her

  • "thinner, look better" Always think this when im in the gym.

  • Duct tape.... i need it for.... taping something, haha that's fucking hilarious :D

  • 1:25 Dubs with it

  • even I get frustrated with Jean while she's thinking

  • nice knives

  • He simply can not kill her.

  • @ImperialGuard9001 He would have. The phone rang.

  • @WOAHTIME pointed out (in another youtube clip of the office part of this scene) that Patrick is wearing Paul Alan's cloths from earlier while sitting on the office sofa twirling the blond models (from the previous scene) hair. This scene seems just a little creepier to me now after realizing that he's in the dead Paul Alan's cloths.

  • @trismipples I never noticed that but didn't Paul Alan copy everything Patrick did? Clothes, haircut, etc.?

  • Hes got the moves like Jagger.

  • Joker>Batman>Bateman

  • It took too long to stuff that hair into his breast pocket in my opinion.

  • the book is much different than this... in the book they actually go to Dorsia and Bateman lies about him and Jean being a different couple... Dorsia finds out and bateman is embrassaded in front of Jean... one of the few lighter sides of the book

  • jean is hot

  • NO, PUT IT IN THE CARTON!

  • @XxVictoriaNomadxX Wasn't it the model he supposedly killed in the scene before but they didn't show it I think they did in the book however...

  • when she say Dorsia he was like: "No... you too..."

  • I always thought that Patrick and Jean would be a great couple. In the books he sees Jean different than all the girls and does deeply care for her.

  • @JReed1985 I think he does try to care for her until she says Dorsia, but he's enraged by this.

  • @justsomeguyy yeah there are things that make him tick because he's insecure and the jealous type of guy.

Apparently Bret Easton Ellis the author wrote about Patrick marrying Jean and having a kid with her.

  • I thought Chloe was perfect for this scene.

  • "maybe... i don't know! ...not really."

  • don't tell me you enjoy working with children, OK?

  • "buck tape"?

  • shes so much like the canteen girl from the other movie

  • nine is very late for dinner

  • is that how batman got started??

  • Chloe Sevigny is soooooooooooooooooooooooo hot !

  • @XxVictoriaNomadxX It's also the model's head that is in the fridge... I think

  • "Whats that?"

"Duct tape, i need it for..uh..taping something." now that's smooth.

  • I think Dorsia is a representative of the universal fact that we can't have everything we want, no matter how much money or power you have, a fact that Patrick cannot accept. Pat goes to many restaurants and none of them are Dorsia, the only one he wants to go to. Hell, the main reason he kills Paul Allen is because he has reservations there.

  • @ornjoos Great observation.

  • @XxVictoriaNomadxX he went out with a model and she went home with him but they didnt show what happened afterwards,so yeah its the models hair.

  • "Jean......Sorbet?" XD

  • There are so many things that make this clip hilarious. And Christian Bale is a great actor. He was outshone by Heath Ledger's Joker in 'The Dark Knight', but Bale was the star of the show here :)

  • lol "Jean...Sorbeii?"

  • @XxVictoriaNomadxX It was someone else's hair. It was the model he met in that club the night previous.

  • @XxVictoriaNomadxX- Right before this scene, Patrick goes home with a model he met at a club, so I think the hair implies that he killed her. Also, during the scene where Patrick has jean in his apartment, you can see the model's severed head in his freezer.

  • @fyfytj In the book he walks around his house with the models head perched upon his erection. Not really a good way to try to fit in IMO.

  • @WhiteAmericanMale- I know, I read the book too.
