@dinostar840 The reason this film hasn't been remastered is simple: because it received mixed to poor reviews upon its initial release, putting any more money into it would be a poor business decision.

I don't see how Jackson could've done the voice better. John Goodman is known for these sorts of "teddy-bear" roles, so logically he'd be ideal for a big softie like Rex.

Now I understand why, despite remembering so little of this movie, so many aspects of it has haunted me to this day. It's beautiful, and it's so...sad, yet happy in a way, melancholic. Steven Spielberg's cartoons were absolutely wonderful, and this one is no different.

Also, Louie brought tears to my eyes, and I rarely cry.

Amazing movie, watching this with my kid someday, when I have one <3

Rex is pratically a sharptooth, his shape is perfectly aligned with the typical Land before time sharptooth.

However he's quite small for both a real t-rex and a sharptooth (especially the second one that is so big that can topple upon an apatosaurus) and we shouldm't forget that he have 3 fingers but this can be acceptable since is the most common error about t-rexes

This movie was basically an attempt cash in on Jurassic Park and was trying to sell the image that kids shouldn't be scared of Dinosaurs, despite gruesome scenes in JP that had human beings being devoured. BTW read the book back in Elementary School, I don't recall ANY of this happening. Louie, Scrweyes, the clown, etc. didn't exist in the book and this whole message was non-existent. Not saying its a bad movie though, I recall really enjoying this as a kid.

I think it's really just what the archetype of crows are. Things can be completely opposite from what they actually are. For example, when you think of darkness, you usually think of evil. Light, however, usually symbolizes good. It is that way for some portion of Heart of Darkness, but then it switches and light becomes bad while dark is good. It's all about what the writer is trying to say. The movie is the same way.
