  • LMMFAO @ Artist Kenny Loggins !!!!

    That friggin song ROCKS

    Driven by RUSH !!!!!

    YAAAAAAAA HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Get me on FSX dude , my IGN is TNTonPMS

  • Fly low, Fly Fast , Turn Left!

  • Anyone know a server that likes to race all the time?

  • that does not look like 49 fps. that looks like 14 fps maybe 18

  • Fraps slows it down

  • ur right. fraps sucks when it comes to slowinig pc down on recording

  • GO RENO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ive been to all the races since 1997

  • do you use a joystick because i can not handle at well with this plane!

  • I use both a Saitek X-52 Pro joystick for military and racing, and a Saitek Yoke Pro for all others.

All in combination with Saitek Pro Pedals.

So I don't use any keyboard or any mouse for my flying.

  • Quote: Lower the sensitivity; I have my roll and pitch set to 5%, and my yaw set to 10%.

Thank you so much for your brilliant advice! I have just completed the race for the first time after changing my settings.

Do you fly the whole of FSX with the ailerons and elevator set to 5% rudder set to 10% sensitivity or do you use these settings just for the races?

  • I actually have different settings that I use for each plane I use, so I can make each plane handle as closely to its real counterpart as possible. Lot of work to remember, but it's worth it when you have a Beaver that flies just like a real one, 747 that handles the same, all that.

I even change it when I fly a Cessna, or a fighter jet.

  • I would love to know the settings you useing for each plane. Is there somewhere I can find this info?

  • I can't remember my settings off hand, sorry.

It really comes from experience, I find. I've been in almost every plane in FSX (Except the fighters and racers) and I know how each one handles, so it just comes naturally to me.

  • Does it kill your FPS?

  • I run it about 40 FPS the entire race. The lowest my FSX will go is about 25 FPS over like, L.A.

  • I'd like to see how my batshit-crazy "airbike" design would do in a race like this. Actually, no I wouldn't. Even though it's only 300lbs or so, the 65hp two-stroke engine would probably struggle to get it up to the 150kt range, which would be abysmal. It's designed for really, REALLY tight turns. When I say tight turns, I mean the Red-Bull air-race stuff is like a wide sweeper.

  • din dator/grafik kort suger apa

  • i love this mission. i only have a little trouble with turbulance

  • i cant control this plane. do u have any tips?

  • Just be gentle with the stick, or yoke. I've never had any problems with it.

  • yea, see ill do a movement on the stick and then i cant get it back into control, cause it'll turn and flip etc. i have the rudder problem too.

  • Lower the sensitivity, I have my roll and pitch set to 5%, and my yaw set to 10%, and that works just fine for me.

And then just don't make any sudden movements. Hope that helps.

    Cheers

  • yo thanks.

  • why does the plane turn to the left when starting to taxi?? i apply rudder to the right but the response is in like 20sec later.... the plane turns by itself even when i turn the auto rudder on wat the hell?!

  • It's called P-Factor. The propeller is in a counter-clockwise cycle, therefore it's goign left.

Thanks to torque, the faster that prop is spinning, the more the plane wants to turn left.

  • yes i already know that... but my problem is when i try to counter it with right-rudder the response is very slow and the plane keeps spinning... don't u have this problem?

  • I do have that problem. I have my rudder pedals set to about 10% sensitivity, as well, and I find that well quick enough.

Try fiddling with your rudder sensitivity a little, just to find that soft spot where it's perfect, that's what I had to do, and my controls fit me perfectly, now.

  • Dude I Dont know why but always my engine burns down shortly after takeoff.

  • Check your ADI. If it isn't on, you will blow your engine.

  • The fact that you managed to fly for this long in this game on those settings while recording it as a single clip is absolutely astonishing. That said, the chase plane view does get old surprisingly fast and goes a long way to eliminating the sense of flight that is best captured in the cockpit. The in-pit scenes did feel faster and more real, though TrackIR would've improved it immensely!

Which reminds me, I can't remember if you ever got TIR?
