Solveig has a gorgeous voice, but I don't been think many Americans have heard her. Has she sang here? I heard her as Die Grafin in Strauss's rarely performed Capriccio at the Paris Opera in Sept. 2007. She sang beautifully in Strauss's strange, static opera. But her beauty and tone carried it. Great stage presence! I'd like to know more about her.

Solveig is from norway and in her late 30ies i think, I heard her as Feldmarschalin in Rosenkavalier some months ago at the norwegian opera..great. As far as I know, she has sung at the Met several times - last time in 2006.
