I also stopped watching more or less after Nick left; it was still good, but started to go stupid tryin appeal to sunday fuddy duddy audiences.They changed the character of David into a Mr Bean comedy act, again probably to try & not 'upset' certain people bein too PC.David was 1st shown as a serious character who had traumatic disability & life with his mother. Why change him? he portrayed a very realistic person. After Greengrass left, I lost interest as I knew it would never be the same.

@starsGirlspace all the Heartbeat dvds with Niamh in are now out on dvd i think she also appeared in an episode of midsomer murders
