  • really hard for me to grasp the math in figuring out parameters for aquifers for my hydrogeo class...like how to use the theiss method, cooper-jacob, etc, how to determine storativity, conductivity, and what the hell all the terms even mean, what u means when used as an algebraic symbol (I get that it's an "undefined constant", but in terms I can understand would be good...)...not a fun class.

  • So once POLLUTION affects The Aquifer it affects the WHOLE aquifer? Ohhhhhhh I get it!! Tomorrow I have a science exam on aquifers .......

  • Now I understand dwarf fortress more!

  • We don't obviously want pollutants in our water supply. But the sand and other minerals in the earth purify the water. It doesn't pollute like this scenario shows.Otherwise millions would not be drinking the water today.

  • @SanEverett Thanks for watching the video. While some aquifers do filter some types of contaminants from groundwater, karst aquifers, like the Edwards Aquifer, are more susceptible to contamination. The aquifer recharges and discharges fairly quickly. This fast transport of groundwater through conduits allows little if any filtration to take place.

  • science is fun.

  • The model rocks and the presenter does a great job explaining it. Thanks for sharing!
