@skatepeak Assholes who ride like that ain't bikers. Those speeds on public roads ain't safe. "Stop punishing victimless crimes so ferociously" What the hell does that have to do with arresting morons that shouldn't be on motorcycles?
@skatepeak It's quite simple. You continue to do what you do, and I'll continue to do what I do. Part of what I do is as a NYS EMT and I scrap idiots like that off the road when they crash, and they will. I won't mention the other part on here as it may or may not be legal and or safe for idiot riders like that.....
I'll keep asking "like HOW?" -until I get an answer.. At what point in the video does the motorcyclist do anything that endangers himself or other, more than usual?
I've ridden bikes, and driven cars more than 200k km the last 6 years. I've had 4-5 small TACs.
ALL of them took place with less than 30 mph. All of them because people wanted to obey the laws, but forgot to obey their common sense. Had 1 rogue accident. at 40!
@skatepeak Read my last comment. I have a way of teaching idiots like this a well needed lesson in common courtesy. I've been riding motorcycles for 30 years and I've been down a time or two. If you see nothing wrong so be it, your choice. Different people see things differently.
I've just been riding sportsbikes for years now, on tracks and on roads. I have no regards for speedlimits as specified by "the state".
The speed you go by shouldn't be dictated by a sign, decided upon by a man in an office.
It should be YOU. dictated by the wind, the road conditions, the sun, the traffic, and the intentions of people chasing you or trying to block you ahead. And pedestrians. And wildlife...
@skatepeak When I'm in my 1-ton crew cab truck and I see an idiot on a bike come flying from behind me like a bat out of hell and I drop my cigarette and drift in front of him as I pick it up... OOOPPS, my bad. "I didn't see the motorcycle. Maybe if he had been doing the speed limit he could have reacted in time...."
Have done so ever since a van cut in to a leftturning lane, only to "show me", and then pulled in to a busstop to yell at me "WHY THE FCKU WERE YOU SO CLOSE TO ME"
He nearly rammed me off the road.
So I pulled off the part of his car he apparently didn't use. His mirror.
He then chased after me and kept his speed up to the next intersection where i was waiting for green. He slammed on his brakes, but would have mowed me down if i hadn't moved over.
@outlawracer2229 the reason i was close to him in the first place, was because he was doing 25 in a 30 zone, sticking to the left side of the road, with ½ a mile to go to the intersection.
Refused to give me space and overview to make a pass. So I stayed just behind him.
When I finally get the chance to pass him and clear the green leftturning signal, he does that insane move.
In retrospect, I shouldn't ave destroyed his mirror. I should've completely immobilized his vehicle.
valdocolon : +1 you're exactly right, good job officer petty, it's good to see you've checked your ego at the time-clock. Get him another day.
Stewartx5: You're a noob. If this was attempted assault with a deadly weapon, that's a pretty lame attempt and I don't see anybody who died in this story. They should calmly shoot people like you.
News reporters: Out of control? His riding looked pretty precise & methodical to me. The only thing out of control was his willingness to pull over.
if you look it actually looks like the cop veered towards him as well so i guess that would mean he's not as innocent as he seems and maybe next time he should think about his tripletes since thats what the story is about right???????????????
Once the suspect intentionally veered towards the police officer's motorcycle (at 0:39-43 in the video), which is attempted assault with a deadly weapon (vehicle), the officer should have pulled out his gun and calmly taken the suspect out.
station he didnt do anything wrong no more than probably going to fast but come on i "hit speeds of more tha 100mph" going to work this morning we all do those bikes are meant to be driven hard and wtf? how did this become a story about the cops kids i dont care about his triplets hes a cop i really dont care about anything to do with that cop
i cant believe it, a guy on a motorcycle runs from the cops you call him an idiot and villiefy him but a guy runs away from the cops in a crappyass camaro and manages to elude them for a bit you guys call him a "god behind the wheel" this guy is the reason i got a bike! I saw this original broadcast and thought thats rebellious thats awesome this kid is taking on the law and hes beating those arrogant and overpaid meter maids who want nothing but to catch a bike so they can brag about it at the
I can understand why the guy would not stop, the cops would have gave him so many charges for just a regular speeding ticket, I would have ran, even if I was not doing anything wrong. Screw cops.
You are all idiots. They had the choppers on him, NOBODY should have tried to chase him on surface streets anyway. The whole story isn't even about the chase. It's about public sympathy, which in turn will give a judge good reason to give him the max. possible sentence. This guy didn't rob or kill anyone to provoke this chase. Therefore, the police need to realize that sometimes they should just not pursue a bike for a simple speeding ticket. LOOK TWICE FOR BIKES. Screw you, Goodnight.
Rather than that motorcycle cop geting in front of him, they should have put an SUV in front of him. Then the solution presents itself, rapid application of the brakes.
YOu missed the point there, Slick. I know damn well that a bike will stop faster than a car (surprise, I ride a damn R-1). The point was, if this idiot (or any others) insist on running from the police, then the police should use every means at their disposal to stop them, including using a 5000 pound moving road block (i.e. an SUV). BTW, you may want to improve your english skills a tad bit.
If you look at the end of the video it shows that the cop edged then slightly swerved into the lane in front of the runner first, and the runner was doing a swerve back in order to make a correction.
good thinking cop , worry more about your baby and dont try to be a super hero like other cops. no one got kill and you be with your wife and babys . its good to see cops like you . do the job rigth and not risk other people life , at the end he still got arrested
What was the bike cop gonna do?? looked like he tried to stop in front of the other bike. How did they catch the biker? Did they come to his house or did he eventually stop?? Either way...good video!!!

Stop mirroring fast bikers moves
Stop taking away all their money, so they can't pay insurance
Stop putting their life in danger, only because you wouldn't be able to ride like them, safely
Stop punishing victimless crimes so ferociously
Let bikers be bikers, and we'll let cops be cops

@outlawracer2229
A guy on a bike, who knows how to ride the bike (more or less) is PER DEFINITION a biker.
He may be an outlaw too. But a biker he is!
And what is it to ride "like that" ???
faster than what a 1950's car is allowed to go? (not dangerous at all on a 2006 supersports bike)
Evasive towards the charging officer? (not aggressive at all. Defensive at the most)
Remember, the suspects objective is to escape crashes, and police hurting him economically or physically.

I don't see him doing ANYthing wrong in this video. The only (morally and ethically) wrong things I notice are
1: people trying to stop him to take his money.
2: typical action-seeking commentators saying "dangerous" / "weaving in and out" / "speeeediiiiing" -when in fact nothing's happening..

@outlawracer2229 That is not only illegal. That is, IMO, completely pointless and reckless.
You see someone going fast and wonder if they have it under control. AND SO YOUR REACTION IS TO SWERVE IN FRONT OF IM?
Why? To make him have a close call, so that he'll go slower in the future? IN FEAR OF GETTING KILLED BY TOWFUCKS LIKE YOU?
Someone did that to me once.
I braked, held back and observed to make sure he did it on purpose. I then fucked him up physically and verbally. physically first.
skatepeak 8 months ago
@outlawracer2229
You should be imprisoned for purposeless nonsense like that.
Try to kill people, because your twisted mind sees them as a bat?
and the highway you're leaving behind as hell?
You're wrong. It's a bike. Coming from between other cars just like you.
You should pay attention (you already do, and I thank you)
You should make way (you do the opposite, i'm outraged with that)
And you should quit your job if it makes you commit roadrage like that.

skatepeak 8 months ago
@skatepeak That's what I love about heavy duty brakes and a cut off switch on the lights. Tailgaters never see it coming.
outlawracer2229 8 months ago
@outlawracer2229
Hate people that tailgate too. When u want 2 overtake, u should keep enough distance to spot an opportunity 2 overtake in advance of time.
Then, when you spot it, you can time your acceleration, and pass quickly and safely.
Rather than staying 1 meter behind.
But you MUST differ between the typical tailgater situatuion.
And the situation where u're goin slower, than the persn behind u want to go, and you could leave room for an overtake.
In the rain people pass me on my bike..
