I was on a video of lady douchebag the other day and I went to see what people were saying about her music and every 1-4 second 70+ people posted a comment.....These guys deserve more views than that thing...this is real music!
Heard this amazing song on the classic rock station and I HAD to look it up. Too bad I wasn't born yet when this song was #1 in the charts. Great song. :)
Gawd, a group based around freaky hairdos. I remember running into this lot all the time as a teenager growing up in Liverpool. Most uncool in our eyes. And why are they using electrical equipment in such an environment?
This video has 154,000 views and a typical "Lady" GaGa "music" video will have over 100 million views. Now you know why western culture is headed downward.
@MrBEB123 you also gotta consider the fact that lady gaga is the current generation of music where there are a lot more younger viewers who are computer savvy compared to a lot of older people back in the 80's who may not be as much.

@sunsdotcum Rap isn't that good, you don't have to call us racist for hating it. I hate pop so does that make me racist against whites because most of pop music is sung by white people?
@georgehr3 Depends on what your listening too. Hip hop was always on the pulse of inner city, urban life. Now it's spread to many facets of life. "Rappers" are the new Bob Dylans of the times - Don't listen to your radio, research some good artists like Sage Francis, Eyedea, Cool Calm Pete, Kosha Dillz, El-P, Aesop Rock, Cage, etc etc.
That's just merely your opinion and not an objective truth. Its music alright and some of the older Rappers did had a lot to say about the shit that was going on.

@22ndWave not all rap music is typical degrading nonesense. rap was originally about people growing up in "the struggle" and trying to find their way out of the lifestyle. once gangsta rap became commercialized however, thats when rap became all about having sex with tons of women, bragging about money and cars, doing drugs, etc.
i'm pretty much open to all styles of music, although classic rock and the 80's are my favorite. not all rap is garbage.
@cyberwaffles Popular culture reached its high point in the 1980's, the best era ever.
Rap had unfortunately appeared in the 80's, but there was so much brilliant music and fashion around that it could be ignored. It is more apparent now because there isn't any good music around to distract people from it.
I still remember that turning the radio on during the 70s and 80s meant listening to 2 or 3 new great songs every single day. How proud we are of being there to listen to all of this awesome music. Who the hell invented rap, hip hop, reggaeton, bachatas, electronic. they will sure go to hell for killing the music.
@georgehr3 And what if you appreciate songs from both rap & new wave, like I do (and music from another 150+ other genres)?
I never understood why people go: "[Insert favourite genre/artist] is the best in the world and [insert other genre/artist that you don't like] is just crap." Learn to fucking explore and broaden your taste a bit, people!
If anybody tells me they know something about music while they only listen to one or a couple of (sub)genres, I'm calling bullshit!

Paul Reynolds is one of the most influential yet underrated guitar players in the early 80s, Burchill from Simple Minds covered a lot of him, just more successful. Shame they didn't make it further.
I dont know what I'd do if I grew up in todays music. I mean, the Jonas Brothers and Miley? Or maybe Avril or go and watch High School Musical? Come on, that shit is sad. The 80's were awesome and always will be. I can think of about 30 bands that were sweet, nowadays it's all rap and hip hop (there's an overused term)... And how about Yo MTV Raps... MTV sucks nowadays, I looked at the lineup the other day for their who days lineup, and nothing was anything related to videos. Bunch of crap
every generation tends to want something they can call their own, mine had GFR, beatles, stones, pink floyd, queen, zeppelin, purple, and many more that still have our gratitude for life. Im sure this generation have someone to be proud of 40 years frm now.......right?........ hello?...... echo...echo...
i think what he means by this is that the older you get, the more you learn about who you are, and who you want, when youre young, you learn about your failed relationships, and you grow from them, so when the right person comes along later, you can love them with all your heart and know theyre the one, good job flock of seagulls, beautiful song
I'm not being mean, Ihatemakingnames; I actually really like your explanation, but you and Dr. Phil should get together! It would be one for the ages!!

Bunch of crap

i think what he means by this is that the older you get, the more you learn about who you are, and who you want, when youre young, you learn about your failed relationships, and you grow from them, so when the right person comes along later, you can love them with all your heart and know theyre the one, good job flock of seagulls, beautiful song

I'm not being mean, Ihatemakingnames; I actually really like your explanation, but you and Dr. Phil should get together! It would be one for the ages!!

Unfortunately the more WE live, especially if reaching 60+ we love less and less, become selfish to the max and no emotion burns in US anymore :((
