  • I mean, the music doesnt help, if the result is nothing.

  • many strange comments here...robbie is robbie...a great performer...freddie was reddie, maybe an even better performer, but why try to make this in to a competision,,,they are fantastic performers in their time. freddie(queen), robbie and all the other artists then and now...you all did a great job. Now, can we talk about if this helped anyone in the world...I dont think so. This is wonderful performances, but what good did it do to they who really needed it.

  • I lost respect for Robbie here. He seemed more interested in trying to get a reaction from the crowd and steal the show than anything else. That day wasn't about him. There's nothing wrong with trying to emulate an idol or anything, but he seemed to be getting more and more frustrated that he wasn't getting the same as what happened at live aid. If he'd used his own mannerisms and natural charisma like he usually does, instead if trying to recapture somebody else's it would've been alot better.

  • I cannot take the comment that "Robbie .... is better than Queen and Michael Jackson" seriously. Freddie Mercury had more talent, flair, ability to connect with the crowd, in his scrotum than Robbie Williams will ever have..

  • Show me the human, how can top this man! It's amazing!

  • how many peoples are there ?????

  • YEAH!

  • 56 People didn't get rocked!

  • Robbie williams have 15 brits awards + the awards with take that!! meer dan enige andere artiest!

  • Robbie is the best singer/entertainer ever!!! He is better than Queen and micheal jackson!!!

  • @cheyenne0407 idiot

  • he is no freddie mercury, never will be

  • Robbie Williams can kill all songs in theis world!

  • this sounds like Bieber, long live the one and only Freddie Mercury

  • He can't even get the words right! Come off it, there are billions of people watching! I'm not one of those sad sacks who thinks that some songs are sacred and shouldn't be sung by anyone (fuck that!) but if you're going to do it in front of that many people, at least put some effort in. He's acting like it's Robbie Aid and using Queen's music for a cumrag.

  • @Zebonka I agree, this asshole is just a fake, trying to copy Freddie Mercury. For example the way he is holding the microphone; this is just an insult. Wannabe Freddie. Neverbe Freddie.

  • He really does entertain!!! I LOVE ROBBIE!!

  • Disagrees, robbie's performance tops freddy mercury.

  • Who the hell is Johnny?

  • @Joelaroc7 Ask El Debarge :-D....

  • what did he do to the song? he butchered it like cold blooded murder in front of thousands

    oh my...

  • robbie is good but nobody like Freddie... nobody...Queen forever!!

  • Robbie Williams' arrogance knows no bounds. First he's trying to sing Frank Sinatra and Elvis stuff, and now he thinks he's Freddie Mercury.

My God what a dickhead, it's got to be all the drugs he does, the fat junky arsehole fag.

  • @glenclosed and the emptyness in your head is unbelievable..where other people are having a brain..there is vacuum..so you can write one stupid thing after another

  • @SpaceloopXL

Do you think I'm the only one who thinks Williams hasn't got a patch on Freddie Mercury?

Cos if you do you're basically going against nearly everyone else in this comments section.

  • @glenclosed I agree 100% He is not one bit unique this pseudo rockstar wannabe Freddie Mercury. I am all up for emulations (from unique artists) but this is just a terrible copy with the whole microphone thing etc. As John Deacon said: "I don't want to be nasty but let's just say Robbie Williams is no Freddie Mercury. Freddie can never be replaced – and certainly not by him".

  • @mercuryforeva

    Thank you.

  • HES MILLES AWAY FROM FREDDY... BUT HE STILL BEING BIG

  • Sorry to disagree, but this performance is miles away to Freddie's. And second best would be Axl Rose's in The Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert.

  • I think we can safely say, Freddie - you're still the greatest.

  • @dmcallister1506 I'm sorry you have the tense incorrect. Freddi is not the greatest still. He is no longer with us!!!

  • The reason he sang this is because he wanted a bit a Queen there, like the original Live Aid.

  • @symustafa1996 well he`s the one who can sing queen, one of the persons i allow to sing queen :D

  • cual es la segunda cancion que canta alguien podria decirme porfavor

  • @rollseetvill creo que es "Let me entertain you", tambien de Queen

  • guapisimo como siempre

  • This crowd can't be compared to the Live Aid one and no offence to Robby but neither the performance

  • amazing!! i was there!

  • 50 people dont know anynthing about music !!!

  • Some people just can`t realize that the man is offering a tribute to a legend. When he sang in Royal Albert Hall after Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra he did just that: kept the LEGEND alive. Stop judging and enjoy the show!

  • the biggest pop star

  • this is really shit, stupid fucker doesn't even know the words to a classic Queen song!

  • lol i thought that said "robbin williams we will rock you"

  • he looks real good here :)

  • He's so sexyyyyyyyyyyy

  • Man he's awesome!!!

  • i was there

  • Freddie is God!

  • damn!!! I miss Freddie Mercury!!!!

  • Jesus Freddie must be spinning in his grave because of this asshole singing his song.

And I can only imagine John Deacon shaking his head sadly at the antics of Brian May and Roger Taylor since Freddie died

  • @glenclosed I know this is terrible, he can't sing.

  • @glenclosed

A dyed in the wool Queen fan, there is nothing wrong with that. Freddie wasn't

like that. His dying wishes were to keep the legacy of Queen alive. Bryan and Roger have

done just that. Investing hard found time, money, blood ,sweat and tears. They have never

forgotten the Legacy that was Freddy Mercury. Solo projects, WWRY, Queen on Tour.

They have and will always remember where the music started. Personally, I believe Bryan

and Roger have excelled at keeping the memory alive.

  • @docanaheim55

Brian May and Roger Taylor also wanted to get Robbie Williams in, to REPLACE Freddie.

    Read that sentence out loud.

Robbie Williams=Freddie Mercury? HAHAHA At least John Deacon has some pride in himself, and his music. Unlike the others, dragging the last drop of blood out of Queen.

The only thing B.M and R.T have excelled at is being greedy.

  • omg look at how spasticated he looks while hes singing

  • fuck i so want to be at that concert now. i hope they do another one soon

  • @BADKiiTTYx07 i think they do them every 8 years, so still a while to wait

  • @bourneunited1 This was a one time concert deal. The idea was to highlight debt relief for struggling 3rd world economies. The G-8 countries met for the first time to discuss debt load issues for the first time during that year.

  • one word for this : yheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

  • More charismatic than Rodgers.

  • I wish I was there! OMG my heart is bleeding for missing this live.

  • he cant sing for crap, but he is fucking brilliant

  • @dickyhart spot on mate

  • Robbie really needs to learn the lyrics

Other than that, my fav laive perfromance of it. :)

  • I love Robbie,He is soo sexy!!!

  • so he didnt do we will rock you as good as freddie.. but my god let me entertain you was immense.. he killed it!

  • Freddie would vomit if he heard this!!!!!!!!!!!

  • no body can sing it like freddie but robbie did an awseom job ^.^

  • not bad, but not he lacks Freddie Mercury's flair.

  • Its a brilliant idea to hold charity conerts- all thanks to George Harrison who invented the idea basically with his Concert for Bangladesh

  • Q BIEN Q LE SALE LA CANCION A ESTE MAN ,,,,MIS RESPETOS ,,,,,,,,VIVA FREDDIE Y ROBBIE

  • Great!!! You made me alive!!!

    R.I.P Freddie!!!

  • FANTASTICO!!

  • good but not freddie

  • even his microphone stand is similar to freddie's

  • R.I.P Freddie Mercury. But what a shame?! Robbie Williams sings for giving tribute to him? Thats sucks and brings shame about Freddie...

  • he changed the lyrics

  • Sure he is a bit weird....

But he will comfort the living

    Not Sure i Understand

but he chews his gum funny

  • never ever, nobody will like freddie

    Freddie R.I.P

    never forget you

  • The Best Ever!

  • I've played this song waaay to much, but when I hear this one.... it really rocks YEAH

  • NEVER CHEW A GUM LIKE HE DO AT 1:02

  • @aspirinemaga

LOL such a smirk face xD

  • Robbie is so charismatic..he's awesome +_+

  • The only who know how to entertain us... RW!!!

  • Another tribute for Freddie Mercury :D

  • Ugh...didn't like the arrangement.

  • i love robbie williams.. he is so good!

  • I have just one question ... HOW MANY PEOPLE?????

  • @Fitzibutzi in this concert they was "7.000.00." i guess lol

  • brilliant from robbie. would love to go see him

  • robbie williams is a dirty stupid

  • i love you Rw

  • it's weird seeing him with normal clothes on after watching the music video for we are the champions

  • no one can sing like freddie, but he sings very good

  • Freddie Mercury is the best in handling the aduience, cos who could get a audience to sing along with him like he did, but Robbie is the second best. I think he is the perfect person to sing this song after Freddie.

  • @TheBrezelmonster ans ? lmao AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • i love this song jejjeje

  • I LOV ROBBIE!!!!!!!!

  • amazing, so talented

  • Who other than Robbie Williams would have enough bottle to go onstage at Live 8 and cover Queen? No one.

Good on ya for it, Robbie. No comparison to Fred, mind, but not what you were aiming for anyroad I'd hazard. More a tip of the hat, and a very good one at that.

  • Robbie based his whole live performance on Freddie he is a huge fan of Freddie. Also anyone who thinks Robbie owes Guy Chambers anything has he had any hits since robbie i think not

  • Comment removed

  • Excellent singer.

  • Nobody can even be closer to Freddie...stupid idiots!!!

  • I agree, something about the way Freddie delivers the lyrics, is the reason this song endures.

  • You got it, pal, you got it!! Freddie rocks!!

  • Not Entertainer, but Let me entertain you ;)

  • the name of the second music is entertainer by robbie williams.

  • It's not a question of comparing. I believe the fact that Robbie sung the song to remind people of Freddie and how great the song is is far more important than the way he did it. He's an amazing entertainer though so thumbs up!

  • What's name this second music, pleas????

    very good song

  • the only person to come close to freddie was george micheals. but still this is awsome

  • I agree. Queen should have picked him instead of Paul Rogers. If you close your eyes GM is the closest to Freddie.

  • Brian and Roger offered him to tour but he turned it down but I agree, he is the best vocalist after Freddie.

  • I am seeing a lot of "FM's" and "RW's"... i havent read any of the comments in full and am just going to hope and pray that there is not any sort of debate going on about Freddie Mercury and Rodney Williams as to who is better. Utterly outrageous. One is real class, one owes one hell of a lot to guy chambers.

  • i can't see how you can compare the two......FM IS Art rock....and RW Cabaret....for my money RW is the better showman...FM was part of as band...RW..is all him...in saying that RW's band is smoking!

  • a maniac. has got no other choice than to live his live in extremes.

  • Adding to the Freddie/Robbie debate on this video, I would say it's more a case of different generations of music... Freddie is the greatest in his field, and so it Robbie. Hard to compare the two in that case... equally as good for their audiences.

  • Best british entertainer of all time and best british solo artist of the decade (taking over from George Michael)

  • jea lets rock robie.Wohoooooo when you not will rock i will entertain you one day xD

  • Freddie R.I.P.

    We will miss you

    Nice tribute

    Queen is the best ever

  • hij is hier zooooo knap !!!! :O:O

  • Everytime I watch this, I think to myself: That must have been the best concert ever!

  • Amazing performance! His voice might not be as good as Freddie's but Rob is the best entertainer!

  • best ever he's epic! Especially when let me entertain you started, he's really cheering the audience on, but in a way which is overwhelming!

  • Comment removed

  • He's an pure entertainer <3

  • R.I.P Freddie <3

    Nice tribute ^^

  • And so?

  • Robbie is bigger. marginally. as an entertainer

  • why would you watch this if you would only insult it, your logic makes no sense!

  • CHICHIFLAS is a idiot with no taste in music!

  • such a good perfromance !!!

  • pese aquien le pese

robbie williams el rey del pop

    the king of pop

  • RW sing fucking fantastic

  • moments like this make u realise the true genius of Freddie mercury!!!!

  • ??? random. this performance has nothing much to do with F Mercury cos Brian May wrote it and RW is performing it in his own style!

  • i gess i can see where u'r coming from to say that, what i meant was that Freddie Mercury was one of the best in live performances, and no one can do it like him, and if u watch Queen performing this live and straight after that watchi RW, you'll see what i mean!!

  • Yeah I agree with you there. FM was an outstanding live performer. But this performance doesnt have anything to do with that. Thats all I meant. FM was a legend.

  • FM is just a legend cause he's dead

  • tá fueda

  • This ain't bad. I always liked when Axl Rose sang it at the Freddie tribute back in 1992... I think it was?

  • robbie the king of pop

  • No one can do a cover of a queen song , freddie cant be beaten. hands down. gd effort tho for robbie

  • George Michael's cover of 'Somebody to Love' live with the rest of Queen at Freddie's tribute comes close, though!

  • Freddy is the best singer of all time...robbie have a good performance just that

  • A Brilliant performance

  • We Will rock You

  • 3:20 xD

  • Robbie the KING !

  • Rob is the best!!

  • btw, Queen also have a great song named "Let me entartain you"...

  • you mean the second song that rob is singing here..

  • yep

  • No man in the history can top Freddie, he had the most amazing voice. Although Robbie is really good!

  • robbie is perfect :-)

  • definately although robbie williams does seem to have that same stage presence that freddie mercury had

  • who??

  • I love Robie. The song is beautiful!

  • Robbie Williams rules ;D

Robbie's cover is better than the original !

  • he wasn't trying to be better that queens version.

  • Of course, he could never top Freddie, but it's still a fun a song.

  • Robbie said in all of his interviews that Freddie is his role-model on stage...and he knows he isnt Freddie but his tribute to him on every concert with We are the champions and We will rock you is on his repertoar..

  • Queen s Version is war better :)

  • Dude do you think this would honestly top queens version ?

  • Amazing performance. This was the career marker!

  • Quenns Version is better...sorry Robbiiiii

  • yeah if only freddie was alive :(
