Uh, American muscle cars would only smoke "rice rockets," are the drag strip. Bring them to a real track and they're shit. Go look at some videos of time attack cars at Tsukuba track and you'll know what I mean. Don't get me wrong, I like muscle cars and all, but when someone says that American muscle cars are just entirely better, I just have to stop them there and give them some truth and understand the limitations of a American muscle vs a "rice rocket."

Yeah your right. But almost all of them can be tuned for the track without too much effort. Just make sure the muscle car is light enough, and I'm sure we can make it a good track car.

It just has a leveling kit on it with rancho shocks. and some rock crawler wheels with some mickey thompson 33s.Aem CAI. i recently got rid of the exhaust on it also.

I'm thinking of using the procomp suspension 3" lift, but don't know what size of tires I should use, my current dimensions are 255 65 R17. Have you noticed any increase in fuel consumption after the lift?

i don't pay much attention to gas consumption... as for tires with your lift, you can fit some 35s ( depending of your rims backspace). but if you're worried with gas, than i would go with 33s.

Hey dood, that's cool that you've been to Silverado. I don't have much of an off road vehicle, just my Silverado 1500 2wd, it's a tow vehicle for my motorcycles but I've taken it up there and made it through some of the 4x4 sections. Learn something everytime I go out.

Why are you bashing him? I'm sure you started somewhere near that level, and at some point in your life you though off roading at that level was fun. Then you got more experienced and started doing more extreme terrain and so on so forth. I'm not trying to start a fight, just saying I think a comment like that is a bit uncalled for. When I come across someone who is doing something I am more experienced in I try to help them, if they are willing to learn (which he is) what's the problem? Show them how to do it right, help them along and make it a positive experience. I'm new to off roading too, and I'm more than willing to learn, help me in any way and I'll very much appreciate it.
