I remember when I volunteered at Open Hand. I spent some time at the grinder grinding away to make that delicious peanut butter. It truly is delicious. During Lunch or in the morning when I came in, I would make my self a sandwich. Heaven. I’m proud to have volunteered for so long at Project Open Hand.
Everyone should listen to this story... very insightful as to how little it takes for us to help feed our older people that have been "priced out of affording" something as simple as peanut butter because of fixed incomes. Project Open Hand also supports many in the bay area. But you can find the peanut butter in Whole Foods which we have in Orange County, California. It's healthy and you buy one tub it will feed a full healthy meal to a senior.
