  • i have long time ago died alot jumped when i got eaten lol

  • I played this game once or twice. It's one of my favourite Jurassic Park game... love this gameplay!!! They should have made more...

  • This game on the MD console was fucking brick hard for the time!! I remember walking around with a bloody electric cattle prod!!!

  • I liked this game, but it was hard

  • I like the music :D

  • i love this game, i wish i could play it again! i esp like clicking on the dinosaur descriptions!

  • Cuh

    Rap

  • I remember playing this game with my family, it was a long time ago it seems, it was one of the best games we ever had. i love this game! sometime i download the sega cd emulator an play it, often i don't finish it but it reminds me of good times lol :P

  • Is it REALLY 12 hours or just one of those video game time limit things. Ive never played this game lol.

  • @MrGretsch2 When you travel from one area to another ten minutes is deducted from the clock. So going the wrong way too many times or missing items eats up the clock. While in the same area the clock remains in real time, which doesn't really matter because going into menus and watching videos pausing the clock. Looking around a room or an area for something can eat up the clock if you don't where it nor what you're looking for.

  • I thought this game was awesome!

  • kinda like deja vu or shadowgate with much better graphics.

  • this game always scared the crap outta me. i could never escape the raptor or t rex

  • Oh man nostalgia attack! I loved this game when I was a kid. I liked how it resembled Myst (my game-of-obsession at the time)

  • dino crisis was the best dinosaur game ever

  • Wow this brings back memories, I never could finish the game. I got right to the end to, but the raptor eggs was a no go

  • Sega CD games are horrible, but good job, you went through the whole game without falling asleep!

  • @1CoolDudeMe this game is bad but saying Sega CD games are horrible is childish

  • this game looks boring

  • Music's horrible.

  • i used to always get stuck at the t-rex he always got me did not know what weapon to use at the time

  • i remember there was an easter egg in the visitors center where u pressed start and select @ the same time and it would show you a menu of all the locations in the park u can teleport to

  • Adventure games...nuff said. What a waste of my youth...........

  • Comment removed

  • I was addicted to this game when i was i kid.. Super cool game never had the change to beat it sadly

  • I remember playing this game. I sucked at it, but it was a good looking game.

  • Man,this game pissed me off so much because of the time limit. I wish it wasn't there so I can take my time... = /

  • I loved this game so much as a kid and the music always creeped me out... think I need to dig out the sega cd lol

  • boy do i miss this game

  • I agree with everyone else.. we need a free roaming PC version of this... now..

  • I got that one back in the early 90's - never was able to finish it. Nowasays with the internets and gameFAQs it should be easier :P Cool game!

  • Wow! This is so realistic in the Sega! O___O

  • The nostalgia is flooding all over me as I watch this.

  • @digitalobserver

The realtime limit gives it a sense of urgency. It is completely possible to beat this game before the time limit. Way before the time limit, in fact. As he said, if you didn't play this game, you didn't get it.

The game was complex. You could play for hours and not know what you were doing, and die. It was seriously challenging in later areas. Fighting the poachers were a pain in the ass. You didn't play it, you didn't get it. Don't criticize a game you don't understand

  • this game is shit beyond believe

  • They probably had "MYST" on their made when developing this game I swear...

  • i liked this game but i couldnt find several items or find out how to get past this triceratops,i honked the horn and next thing i know im dinosaur roadkill lol

  • I think it looks pretty fun, mainly because I love Jurassic Park and point and click adventure games.

  • loved this game !!!! thanks for the memories

  • que pobresa

  • I loved this game. Fuck off all you people who are hatin' on it!

  • @badboybob1074 Thank you!!!! I just got this back for the genesis/sega cd console. I would watch the movie then play it :D. And I have the other Jp genesis games and I like this one best. Too bad the game and console belonged to my cousin when I first played. But I got my own and now Im rockin it out with awesome games like this one. IF YOU HATE THIS GAME DONT COMMENT OR WATCH THIS VID. It would be a waste of typing. Thumps up if you still watch the JP videos...

  • @digitalobserver is a point and click game, the gameplay is the regular in this type of games

  • @digitalobserver This game is from 1993, and the graphics are amazing for that time, compare with other games from home consoles

  • Awesome game, i played when de game comes out, and i still own and play.

    Totally classic :)

  • oh wait...maybe this wasnt the one...

  • Hahaha maaan I remember this, I kept getting eaten at the end....

  • I liked the decision to make the game more of a strategy based experience than a pure action oriented one. It was quite clever how you had to utilize all the various objects you found and it fits in with one of the plotlines from the movie, that of Nedry trying to ascertain Dna samples to sell to some unscrupulous people.

In this one, you are trying to retrieve eggs from all the species on the Island for preservation purposes.

  • Universal should consider making another Jurassic Park (probably would have if Michael Crichton hadn't died!) or at the least, another Jurassic park game.

  • Retro Gamer rated this as the best of the Jurassic Park 1 based games...

Personally prefer the Sega Arcade railshooter though.

  • I liked the regular Genesis one better....

  • was a pretty cool game when i was a kid

    never beaten it tho

the raptors, the T-rex and those spitters scared the shit out of me :D

  • This probably would've done better as a bonus game, not a standalone.

  • for some reason this reminds me of myst but with dinosaurs

  • Like I asked before, have you played this game?

  • Dude, how good something looks is strictly up to one's opinion. You're no more right than he is about the graphics.

Myself, I actually don't mind the mix of styles and like the hand-drawn look when it shows up.

  • I take it you've never played this game. Maybe you should before making judgments about it.

The time limit actually doesn't matter much. If you don't know what you're doing, you'll die long before time runs out. And if you DO know what you're doing, you can finish the game in 30-40 minutes of realtime.

  • @NailStrafer i never got a chance to play the sega cd, can i find a good emulator? what's it like?

  • DANG! This looks like prety good graphics for the time, cool, I wouldn't mind playing it. =)

  • This Game is Shit!!!!

  • This should be called LAME park, hahaha get it?

  • i have played it as kid it was fantastic cool game

  • i loved this game! I still have those CDs, Wing COmmander, Black Hole, and JP!!

  • Thanks for uploading this, it had brought back some memories lol

  • the CD's look like coffee beans ...

  • Like Myst but in Jurassic park, not bad, but I think I would rather play Myst.

  • I like this Game, but it was difficult

  • God this game rules

  • oh,it looks like shadowgate

  • Woah, awesome, had no idea the Sega CD version was this type of game! I passed on it years ago because I thought it was just a port of the Genesis version, noooo...

  • What I like about the game is the little music that plays when your taking a route or trail. Always cracks me up.. XD

  • Reminds me of Myst.

  • correct me if i'm wrong...it looks like a point and click game?

  • I liked the cartridge version. I never played this version though....seems slow

  • crap now this is an old but a goody, haven't played this game in so long man.

  • I'd rather go to the local park nearby.

  • What kind of crap is this

  • Crappy looking? No, not at all. For it's time it had great rendering & effects. However, by today's standards yes it could be considered as sub-par. But that to me is the whole point of playing games, is to use your imaginatinon; to put yourself right there in the game! Personally I think Atari, Sega & SNES were the best games ever produced along w/Amiga! Back when games were actually fun and had real replay value.

  • I LOVED this game I miss my Sega CD got this as a Christmas gift with a boatload of other gems.

  • I honestly have to say this is the first JP game i ever truly wanted to buy in the past, but alas the only way for me to play it is thru emulation. I love JP Games and i'll play it even if it's crappy-looking i will play it.

  • actually I dun think its crappy, stupid or boring. I kinda like puzzle games and this one looks awesome :D

  • This game, while not very exciting, sounds pretty cool when played with headphones on.

  • ah the days where movies were way ahead of games

  • This was pretty much my favorite game when I was a kid. It keep me entertained for a very long time exploring and trying to figure it all out...since this was well before that little internet thing where you could instantly have answers. It's really a shame point and click games are such a dieing breed.

  • So it's like Jurassic Park Myst?

  • I enjoy a good point-and-click game like Monkey Island or Shadowgate, but it just doesn't suit Jurassic Park.

  • lol this reminds me of my jurassic park game for my super nintendo but it sucks it a top view shooter

  • luv the vid man i wish i still had this game dude

  • Sega mega drive is a Retro legend and will never die lol

  • 2 things that can kill a t rex

    one king kong

    the other is kratos

also let me add chuck norris lol

  • OMG!!OMG!!OMG!!

    These were 9 terrifying minutes!

  • ZZZZzzzzzz......XD

  • plYING THIS ON A EMULATOR AWESOME GAME FOR ITS TIME LOL

  • Wow! It looks like crap!

  • you know what would be dope, a jurassic park game built on like a gta engine, instead of thugs, u can blast dinos,,,,,,,,my dream

  • man this seems so fimilar i think ive played this game

  • never did beat it, got eaten lol

  • Looks like I underestimated this game. I've always heard nothing but bad about it, so I figured it would be short. I remember seeing a couple guys play it years ago, so I decided to pick it up.

It reminds me of Enemy Zero, which I enjoyed. The puzzles can be irritating, but still I think I like it.

The videos may look grainy, but they beat the heck out of those in Rebel Assault.

I have never owned a Sega CD, so I wasn't exposed to its games until I got a system that could play them.

  • This on XBOX 360 and PS3 with an open world similar to Oblivion would be awsome.

  • i HATED the part when you honk the horn if you did it wrong he would run after you.. and it sure took me awhile.

  • I loved this game when i was younger! I wish they made a PC version of this game

  • Sort of like Jurassic Myst.

  • wow memories lol

  • This brings back memories! Truly one of the hardest JP games I ever played. It gives a huge feeling of suspense all the time, and it took a lot of trial and error just to get part way through the game. I finally just gave up and resorted to an FAQ XD

  • This is my favorite Jurassic Park game. along with the Chaos continues.

  • Jurassic Park my ass!!!!!! better boring park

  • Guess you just don't like puzzle games, do you?

  • no not really also soorry for the bad languge hahhahXD

  • You aren't the first person to say that about this game.

I just think it's a little sad that people shun this game just because it's not a shooter like every other JP game...like every JP game HAS to be a shooter and nothing else.

  • well you right but waht we going to do i mean puzzle game vs call of duty 4.... but JPOG jurassic park operation genessis was and is a good game....well see ya XD

  • man this was so much fun when this came out

  • The sega jingle is always a classic 'Sega'

  • Never got past the cave with raptors

  • He the graphics looks pretty cool for a game that old.

  • NailStrafer, you should write an FAQ/help guide for GameFAQs, I know that sounds silly, since you have these videos, but I searched for a video walkthrough only after I couldn't find one on the GameFAQS site.

  • I used to do guides at GameFAQs under the alias of Minesweeper.

I don't think I could do it now, considering it takes a lot more effort to write a guide, versus shoot a video. I just don't have the free time I used to now that I'm out of college and in the workforce.

  • Great stuff!

  • Does anyone know if there's anywhere you can play this game still, without getting a Sega CD?

  • Google the SEGA emulator Fuzion and the SEGA CD Bios. As for getting the game, I suggest actually buying it and playing it on your CDrom drive using said emulator (I cannot suggest that you google the CD image for the game, that would be wrong)

  • OMG I remember this game. I was like 5 and I never finished it because I would always get scared at the T-Rex part!

  • "You are heading to Jurassic Park.."

    - no i'm not, i'm sitting on my ass at home.

    "Your Mission.."

    - to b tha biggest slob in the household.

"Work fast, you only have 12 hrs.."

    - yeh, i should eat fast, because tha rugrats

will b on in 12 hrs..

    d=)

  • ahahahaha....gold.

  • does any one know what the link is to download this game cuz so far i have 7 Jp games for Pc im a huge fan nd im collecting the games lol

  • It's an old SEGA CD game, you can probably buy it from Amazon still if you look. you can probably also buy a Genesis and SEGA CD as well if you don't have those.

  • ok ill look in amazon or somethings thanks

  • I really loved this game. This is the first game I ever called a sega help line for tips. (triceratops/jeep part if I remember)

  • OMFG We had to do that too! And at the T-Rex part.

    Good times, huh?

  • does anyone have a link to download it?

  • does anyone have a link to download it?

  • I don't know what it was about this game that I really liked but I sure did enjoy it. Haha I always loved throwing the rock at the computer in the visitor's center and blowing the island up!

  • its strange that most jurassic parks fans are also huge sonic fans.

  • I agree. It is weird. Yes, I am a fan of both Sonic and Jurassic Park, so yeah, even though I am a fan of both of those franchises, it is a strange coincidence.

  • good job

  • Thank you.

  • i had a cdx so i couldn't get this damn game to work right.

  • They should re-make this, it could be kinda cool.

  • With out a map this game looks really hard

  • I love this game despite its lameness.

  • This game broke new ground for death sound effects. If you died because a Triceratops charged at you at full speed, gored you with it's horns, bellowed, then walked calmly away, then by god, that's exactly what it sounded like.

  • Okay, I've got a question for anyone who knows. I have a Sega CDX. You know, the Genesis and Sega CD combo in the shape of a walkman. Anyway I also have this game. I've owned 2 different copies and they both freeze when I try to go through that first cave. The little music bit plays and then the game just locks up while staring down the cave and you have to shut the game off. As I've said, this has happened with 2 different copies.

Will this game just not work on the CDX? Anyone know?

  • New drive belt? What?

  • I just need to say that this game IS IMPOSSIBLE. I STILL have it, and wouldn't you know my Sega CD stopped working?! LOL I think it needs a new cd-spin-thingie. I mean it turns on and tries to load... just doesn't spin the disc anymore :(

But jesus this game is impossible. I think I used to get further when I was 12. LOL

  • it's common with old CD based technology. CD based systems are useless for Retro computing, the mechanical parts fail too easily. that's why i prefer cartridge based consoles.

  • LOL I could NEVER beat this game. I had this in the days before the internet so it was so hard to find a walk through. This brings back loads of memories.

  • Nice videos and guide , This is a very underrated game . What I liked about this and The Thing (the game) was how they carried on straight from the films .

Sadly both were very much underrated and looked over

  • hey dude thanx for uploading this video;),it's helping me a lot to finish this game!!!

  • Thanks for this, it's been years since I played this so it's brought back loads of memories

  • i miss these kind of games

  • Somewhat cheesy and more of a sequel than an adaptation of the film, but overall, a lot of fun to play.

  • where is the red key ...is there one? I was it the booklet but never found it?

  • I dunno...I never found it. It doesn't matter anyway. The only two keycards you need to finish the game are the Triceratops Key and the Raptor Key, and they're gold and green (respectively).

  • This is one of my favorite games for the Sega cd

    I hate you, SOOOOOOO MUCH.

I have tried so so many times at that first puzzle and always died.

I had to look up the cheat menu to get passed it.

(Haven't seen the other videos, but there is a secret Triceratops T Rex fight in the game :)

  • 1 of the best games i ever played on Mega/Sega CD <3

  • I wouldn't enjoy playing this. This game doesn't seem to give you much of any indication of where you should be going. You could probably wonder into the T-Rex area and never know it. It looks like a wander around, find stuff, die a bunch of times for reasons you don't know/didn't expect, figure out puzzles without even sometimes/most of the time knowing they are even puzzles kind of game. I don't like those. Games like this require a guide to have any fun with it.

  • It's not THAT bad in some places. If you check your e-mail in the Visitor's Center you get a bunch of good clues.

  • Even so, lets say for the sake of arguement that every puzzle is solvable without outside help using the e-mail clues (which I doubt *shrug*), I saw a development video of this game after watching all 4 parts. The background in this game is VERY grainy in comparison to the artwork they actually did for the backgrounds and it's hard to see the places you can go a few times, the live video does not fit with the game world and pulls you out of the game, the sand dissolve is "eh" :P

  • I didn't say all puzzles were solveable through the clues. Definitely not true. But they do help you through some of the more obscure ones.

Your also cursor changes to show you information. It becomes a green X when you have an item you can use there, it changes to an arrow to show exits, and it changes to a hand to show items you can pick up. Quite useful.

Also, at the time, just having live video in a video game was an impressive feat. It didn't matter if it matched or not.

  • I actually think the concept of this game is awesome though, it just probably came out a bit early for the hardware that was available.

  • dam i cant watch no more!! dont wanna ruin the game for myself....how do you get passed the...il prolly never beat it though lol

  • Some of this stuff i didnt know when i was playing it, Make's me want to play it again i havent seen this game in like 14 year's it was really fun,

  • The little musical ditties played for the FMV transitions are hilariously un-Jurassic Park.

  • I actually had fun playing this game... kidna long but I liked the puzzles and adventure.

  • who the hell would play this game for 12 hours

  • The game only lasts 12 hours if you stay in one place. When you travel from location to location you lose time. In real time, the game can be finished in a little over 30 minutes...but the game clock will have run down to like 4 hours, 30 minutes left by then.

In any case, if you don't like the game, why the hell are you watching videos of it?

  • ohhhhhhhhhh thx for the info :)

  • "In any case, if you don't like the game, why the hell are you watching videos of it?"

I'm assuming like me, he was curious as to how good this game was. I think it's shit too, the megadrive (genesis) was the best one by far.

  • The problem I have with people calling this game shit is that many people complain there's no action, when it's not supposed to be an action game.

It's a puzzle game. Don't look at it like other action-oriented JP games, because it's not trying to be one of them. This is a game where you use your mind, instead of your reflexes.

  • Nah it's not that, if this game didn't have Jurassic Park in the title, would you play it? It just doesn't stand on it's own, I like puzzle games too (though this is technically a point and click adventure) but I'm no fanboy. My opinion anyway, thanks for uploading the video.

  • I'd say Point and Click can fall under puzzle, considering how far you get in the game depends on how well you use your head. And yes, I think I would have played this game regardless of Jurassic Park in the title. I like point and click because it's a novelty genre now...the same reason I like to play FMV games on occasion.

  • i just got a saturn whats the difference between sega saturn and sega cd?

  • why is this game so scketchy?

  • in the UK Sega never really took off, they captured the nOObs of the late 80s and early 90s, who strangly enough, became the Sony zombie fans... "oh its a sony product it must be good" attitude! but I think they have finally seen the light when the ps3 came out. sega cd cant same I cared for it, was having too much fun on Amiga 500/1200, pc and snes!

  • what a load of bull. sega had a 85% monopoly on the uk market from 1986, sega maste rsystem until sega genesis died in 1996
