@3dsmo I have a couple of the 3mm version of those panels myself. They're quite nice, including shift registers and row drivers on the back so all you need to do is connect power and a handful of signal wires. And actually, the panels aren't all that expensive either as they're made in china.
@3dsmo You can buy it from Sure Electronics with LED cubes plugged into a custom made board. There are multiple LED driver IC's on the Sure board and you can actually connect multiple boards to create a larger LED surface. In the end there is not a single LED you have to hook up yourself, it's all controlled by and connected to LED driver IC's.
@AgentDexter47 Wrong. The "22$" is totally incorrect. The only correct form is "$22". Also about resistors - 1k as 1000Ω is right, 1k5 as 1500Ω too, but k5 as 500Ω is not. It would be 500R.
@FrozenHaxor2 I said "I mean maybe it is different where you live"
in my country and the rest of the Europe as much as I know $ sign, or any sign that describes the currency comes after the price - that's why i stated the resistor example - the k sign comes after the value (tat is probably why may people are confused)
theoretically k500 is the same as 500R (you can write it as 0.5k or even 500 000m it's all the same) but 500R is the most common form and you can say it is best form

$22 for a cup of coffee??

@HeIsCoolMG The dollar sign is after, which is common to use if you mean cents. 22$ = 22cents
HenryTomasino1 3 months ago
@HenryTomasino1 no $22 would be 22 cents, 22$ is 22 dollars
I mean maybe it is different where you live
but e.g. 1k ressistor means 1000 ohms, 1k5 means 1500 ohms, and k5 resistor is 500ohm
anything left of the mark is bigger, anything right is smaller
