sounds like he is crying in his voice... this isn't soft this is real... it's the hard shit that ain't real but who am i to say it's just nice to see a balance
Kendrick Lamar is the greatest in the rap game by far, but this song makes me wonder if the stuff he says in it actually happened. I can't know for sure because I don't know him personally but if he actually killed someone like he said in this song and all that other shit that happened, that's crazy....
Of course it hasn´t happened, Kendrick was never a real gangbanger he just hung out with gangbangers, BUT this is something that probably HAS happened, or something similar to this. Also, Kendrick never kills someone in the song, they´re trying to kill him and the stray slugs hit the boy by mistake. That´s how I understood it anyhoo.
@bonecrusher1792 yea , hes just nameing scenarios about why god blesses people, he had to say extreme things like that to emphasize his point ya know? you can tell when hes sayin actual shit that happend
damn this is some deep shit im going to spread this song around the school and tell every body that even if u dont want to admit it these men will touch you if some way. Kendrick ,BJ
Im a young artist and i put all my soul into my music. I dont have much money and cant afford studio equipment but music is all i have and I put my heart into my verses. If yall would take a few minutes, to listen to some of my tracks, I would be very thankful , much love
@ATMYSWAGdotcom I feel you! Im the same He's been one of my top favorite rappers since OD, but he didn't become my absolute favorite until Keisha's Song it was just deep as hell. And this song is one of those types of songs, it's ok to have fun songs and ear-pleasing songs, but when you literally pour your heart out through your voice and use of words, those songs are the best.
I cant even lie Kendricks verse kinda made my eyes a little moist. pause tho. hes the first rapper to ever hit me like that. Kendrick = My favorite rapper. hes been my fav since overly dedicated but this cemented it
@MYSWAGdotcom Really only Kendrick!? Should listen to Nas - Dance and Lupe Fiasco - Hiphop Saved My Life. Kendrick is prob my 2nd fav rapper behind Lupe but trust me, real hiphop gives tears of reminiscing joy :)
I closed my eyes , thought on how God has blessed me and cried , this The Heart Part 2 and I Hate You are so filled with emotion BJ The Chicago Kid was awesome too f
I don't know if this is just me, but I think all 3 of kendrick verses are of the same event but in different perspectives... i don't know maybe thats just me
@iDynoMan Understood angle, but I saw it as different occasions with the verses focusing on all the turmoil going on around him...1st with the chaos in his boy's life then 2nd the chaos surrounding & caused by him. The 3rd verse is Kendrick's realization @ the same time of his boy's demise. Great song.
wow, damn this is some of the realest music Ive heard in an extremely...these fake ass artist these days should take notes.
