  • Thanks so much for sharing this. "Dublin" is a gorgeous song -- very melancholy, especially when used as it is here, as an elegy for Philip.

I miss that guy every damn day. Thanks again.

  • oh ok now I know what you mean! I've seen pictures of that place and his jukebox and all that in a documentary... Did not know you could just drop by like that. Is Philomena there all the time? She seems like a nice person

  • Thank You Bro!!!

  • Could you tell me the name of the album, please? Because I remember for my father those songs but I never knew the name of the whole album.

  • simply called "Thin lizzy" from 1971 I think

  • Hi Jason. Cool vid. & hope you enjoyed your visit to Dublin. Guess youre a Phil Lynott fan. Ive visited his grave in St Fintans, Sutton & on my first visit was very surprised its so discreet and plain. I guess I was expecting something a bit more grand but its the cemeterys policy. At least they give him an honoured concession by allowing objects of devotion to remain after visits from his fans. When you were there did you go around Howth Head as well? All the best. Stuart.

  • Hello Stuart, thank you for watching and your comment! I knew that the grave was quite discreet but was still a bit surprised that his grave was not placed along the bigger graves that we saw. I was really taken with the whole experience of visiting his grave was since it's he closest you can get to him these days. It's nice people can leave little gifts for Phil, I left my beloved wrist chain on his grave, think it's in this video if you look close. Howth head, is that the mountain? no did not.

  • Thanks. I wholeheartly agree with you. Its very touching to see people still care & come visit after all the years. Unfortunately, I dont live in Dublin but Mullingar, so rarely get there. Next time you are visiting, there are spectacular cliff walks along Howth Head (just a few minutes walk up the road from St. Fintans Cemetery), definitely not to be missed, especially during good weather. All the best. Stuart.

  • Hi Jason. I understand the gravestone and site was Philomenas decision, she truly loved and thought the best of her son. All the best. Stuart.

  • what a pity.. This beautiful song watched by a bunch of guys

  • well done nice job, happy memories. rip phil

  • Yes yes, thanks.... well done.
