I don' t think I have vertigo at all now. After seeing some videos and reading some comments....I'm pretty sure I don't. But I don't know what it is!!?? If I'm sitting still, I don't feel it at all, unless I move my head quickly but when I stand.....I ALWAYS feel the swaying and unbalanced feeling to the point of almost falling over at times. I stagger all the time, mostly to the right, and no vertigo treatments have worked yet. I'm thinking it may be Meneires disease. Anyone know??

im 14, i had blood test, mri and other test i got it in the summer..cause one moring i woke up and looked around and my head was spining...i had to walk by crawling, i puked, i went to some place for like 4 weeks, they said i was good to go..but i still see that little black dot, i had toruble standing up, i also get this ringing in my ear. and its annoying, i dont like this feeling, sometimes i stop. i have a long road ahead of me, im only 14wonder if i can get a job when im older.

Thank you for the information, I too have an extreme case. I have had vertigo for more then two years. It sucks, it has hurt my effectiveness at work, I think others have zero understanding. It isn't just spinning, it is a balance issue, it is an unusual feeling like double vision with a sea sickness type feeling.

@jhblackman omg 2 years. i just found out i have veritgo. my dr tolled me last night. i had it for 9 days now. im a pill for it now. idk if it will help. i still feel dizzie today. thiers somethings i can,t stand up or lay down. i know how u feel. i wish it would go away to.

hello Tristin, no vertigo does not happen a lot is quite an unfrequent symptom. Now if you have it do go to youtube and check dix-hallpike to diagnose it and epleys manouvre to treat it. hope that helps

when i went to my doctor he just said it would go away by itself and it was caused by an ear infection. he's an idiot. lol. my virtigo is ok tho i just feel dizzy when i climb stairs, look over balconies, or just walking around sometimes. once i had it for a month straight that was pretty lame. it makes u feel physically sick, people think im just "scared" of hights, they dont get that it makes me actually wanna vom. oh well.

I have a spinning feeling..and i feel like im going to faint...i vomit sometimes...im on SERC now and seeing a specialist who only treats vertigo next week..i get it almost every week and i have mild dizziness during the day,,,i only get it through the night,it wakes me up...i get a wooosh feeling then i open my eyes and it starts...sometimes its full on sometimes its mild,,,,i must have positional vertigo as it only happens between midnight to say around 7am...I hate it and ive had enuff..

mine is getting so bad now that the room is rolling so fast then correcting its self then rolling then correcting maybe 10 times per second like a flashing sensation,, its driving me nuts.

and i work as a roofer, not good for my trade.

room spinning, or rolling sometimes quite fast as well so you have to lay with your eyes shut or you just get sick.

First off, I am so sorry that you are experiencing this, it is so unpleasant. There are a few things you should check before reaching that conclusion. Do you eat a good breakfast? Do you get enough sleep? These are the top two things, that usually makes it worse for me. Vertigo feels as though the walls around you are spinning, and you are unable to focus on anything.

I highly recommend you watch the channel 5 Chronicle. There will be an interview with me, Dr. jackson and another gentleman about our experiences. Hopefully that will go into more depth. We just did the interview Friday, 11/14, so she said it would be a couple of weeks. So keep your eyes open for that. That will be much more informative. NOw remember, I was an extreme case. It's worth it, to visit Dr. Jackson, or speak with him. Maybe he knows a specialist in your area.

I'm sorry to hear that... there is definitely nothing fun about vertigo and unfortunately there are so many different causes. Was this your first time experiencing this? I experienced my first vertigo spell when I was only 25... not fun!

What was the cause of your vertigo? What did he do? What was the course of treatment? What State are you in?

The cause of my vertigo was a combination of a mechanical default (in otherwards, my neck was completely out of whack), I had a high level of metals in my system and I was low on proteins. So I ended up doing a detox (2 weeks) was given vitmans for the protein imbalance and he treated my neck with acupressure. I am in MA. I put his website above. I hope this info helps.
