In the Japanese version, Lotor likes Allura because she resembles his Arusian mother who Zarkon kidnapped and forced on himself.

@ediesedgwick82- That is in Golion, the Japanese version. In there, Lotor's mother was an Arusian who tried to beg a pardon for the other prisoners but Zarkon killed her after he was bored with her. Zarkon presumably forced her to be his bride but later decided that marrying her was the worst choice he had. That is Golion episode 30- "The Dark Prince's Imperial Love".

@jdlaw001 Ty :) Lion Voltron is only has 2 seasons Vehicle is 1 season only. I didn't know there was a 4th, news to me. I have Lion uploaded for those who can't get the WEP episodes due to country block. The answer to your question is "Give me your princess"

Lotor is fun to make fun of with his ego and his short skirt etc. He is made to be made fun of. LOL!

lol, I know what you mean though. When I FIRST started watching this show with Lotor, I was thinking, "Oh, he likes the princess-- that's nice. He'll get over her eventually."

I just find him hilarious at his attempts at getting her...but I still like him as a villain. :)

Okay I am going to do a spoiler of sorts. Voltron was orginally Go Lion a Toei animation it was bought buy WEP cut up re editied to make "kid friendly". Lotor's Go Lion name is Sinclair and Allura is Farla. In Go Lion the reason he has a thing for Allura is she looks exactly like his mother. Lotor is half Aurisian. The episode "Give Me Your Princess" I think the one were Lotor dreams of Allura is actually his mother and Zarkon killing her. Bit Ick.

@lovelyl1976 Yeah, I know all this-- for a long while, actually. In most animes, what we get is the "uncut version" which is mainly bullshit most of the time, and from what I heard in this show, they did A LOT of censoring...which is more bullshit.

I'm hoping to purchase the GoLion series...someday, since I saw that I can buy the seasons right off Amazon.

...but yeah, I already know about Lotor and his "mom/Allura" issue. ...but still, I find his obsession hilarious sometimes. :)

I think Lotor/Merla should of worked out better, they suited each other till she went good for know reason.

I actually had a guy like Lotor chase me for a while, its scary.
