How do different Bibles constitute a flaw? I am guessing you are referring to translations (NIV, KJV, ESV...)? These all teach the same thing.

@yeahyah11 It is Acquire the Fire. A youth conference. From what I have seen (see links on video) it seems a little unbiblical. Very similar to Benny Hinn and other word-faith type conferences - where through repetition and music the emotions of the crowd are controlled, almost hypnotically.
Watched the link. Pure Lie. He's trying to convince people that the chrictians there are pagans? And what does he have around him? Such as the coffin and other strongly pagan items. I was at Atf just this last Fri. and Sat, there was multiple times where we repeated the same verse over and over for like 20 minutes. Its not that we cant stop, we dont want to. We want to worship our Lord!
@staum607 Not always. You may have good intentions and not realize that you are hurting someone/thing. When people say that you are a 'good person' it normally means that they act good, such as being nice or a good sport. You can't really say someone is purely good. Only God holds that title.

"Those who listen to my message and believe in God who sent me have eternal life. They will never be condemned for thier sins for they have already passed from death in to life" (John 5:24) I'm not trying to say that those who believe can do anything they want... I'm saying that those with Jesus, through his blood, have been wiped clean.

The reason I focus on this point is very few who call themselves Christian are willing to look at themselves (as individuals, not just lumped in with the entire human race) and see themselves as individually evil, wretched. Unfortunately until someone recognizes this, they cannot be saved (as they wont see their need of Savior). I just wanted to be as sure as humanly possible that you understood this. God bless.

Our emotions should not lead us, our heart should not lead us. Our God (understood through preaching) should lead our emotions and our heart. If repetition is necessary to get our hearts and emotions involved in our worship then I don't think it is biblical.
@staum607 Its not neccesary. We just want to give Our God the worship he deserves. He died for me. He died for you. For everybody. Because he loves us, and doesn't want to see us burn in hell for the sins we commit. Repetition. What about the people (I cant remember any at the moment) who prayed for hours, days even? You dont think they said the same thing at least twice? God doesn't get bored with us, even we say the same things over and over because we cant think of enough to glorify our God

@SHAOLINSINZ So do you believe that KJV should be translated into other languages (greek/hebrew -> latin -> KJV -> other language) of that all other translations should be based on the textus receptus (greek/hebrew -> latin -> other language)? My biggest reason for preferring the ESV or NASB (outside of better collection of manuscripts) is because they have modern words (ie many words in KJV have a different meaning today compared to 1611) - therefore it can be easier to understand

not against religion not for it. fan of rap though, and...i am inspired in a new way by this kind of music. the fact that you (as Christians) can have so much faith and love for something that i cant see is an amazing feat to you. hopefully one day i can have faith in a power greater than myself. keep on keeping on.

@yeahyah11 It is Acquire the Fire. A youth conference. From what I have seen (see links on video) it seems a little unbiblical. Very similar to Benny Hinn and other word-faith type conferences - where through repetition and music the emotions of the crowd are controlled, almost hypnotically.

Watched the link. Pure Lie. He's trying to convince people that the chrictians there are pagans? And what does he have around him? Such as the coffin and other strongly pagan items. I was at Atf just this last Fri. and Sat, there was multiple times where we repeated the same verse over and over for like 20 minutes. Its not that we cant stop, we dont want to. We want to worship our Lord!

@staum607 Not always. You may have good intentions and not realize that you are hurting someone/thing. When people say that you are a 'good person' it normally means that they act good, such as being nice or a good sport. You can't really say someone is purely good. Only God holds that title.

@staum607 By God's standards everyone is a liar. But those with Jesus Christ in thier lives can repent and can be God's children. "Those who listen to my message and believe in God who sent me have eternal life. They will never be condemned for thier sins for they have already passed from death in to life" (John 5:24) I'm not trying to say that those who believe can do anything they want... I'm saying that those with Jesus, through his blood, have been wiped clean.

The reason I focus on this point is very few who call themselves Christian are willing to look at themselves (as individuals, not just lumped in with the entire human race) and see themselves as individually evil, wretched. Unfortunately until someone recognizes this, they cannot be saved (as they wont see their need of Savior). I just wanted to be as sure as humanly possible that you understood this. God bless.

@makayla00123 (see the links in the video) they are very similar to word-faith conferences (Benny Hinn, Ken & Gloria Copeland, jesse duplantis, Todd Bentley, etc) in that they manipulate people through repetition and music. Our emotions should not lead us, our heart should not lead us. Our God (understood through preaching) should lead our emotions and our heart. If repetition is necessary to get our hearts and emotions involved in our worship then I don't think it is biblical.

Because he loves us, and doesn't want to see us burn in hell for the sins we commit. Repetition. What about the people (I cant remember any at the moment) who prayed for hours, days even? You dont think they said the same thing at least twice? God doesn't get bored with us, even we say the same things over and over because we cant think of enough to glorify our God

What I am saying is if we are driven by our emotions (as repetition can easily do) instead of us driving our emotions, then we have put the cart before the horse. If that is not what happened with you - praise God! However, I am sorry but I do not believe that is the norm in a situation like this.

Acquire The Fire made me learn so many things!! It brought me closer to God and I'm so happy that I got to experience it. You may not believe in God, but I do and it's all thanks to the people that I am around all the time. My foster family that I love so much!! They made me learn that our God is an AWESOME GOD!!
