A lot of people have wondered about the meaning of this song. For me it means "E Pluribus Unum" - Out of many, One.

The video shows scenes from across the nation, scenes of different people working and studing and striving to succeed and make themselves better. But what strikes me is how DIVERSE the people in this video are, yet they all make up the fabric that is America. I think that Dave is trying to say "Remember that we are all AMERICANS, and all contributing to the same cause."

The American Baby is everything that is innocent about American culture such as family cookout, fireworks on fourth of July, Thnxgiving, Xmas, family values, hard work.
