An IRL car has tested at Daytona. It was in 1960. The guy went into either turn 1 or 3 and the car toke flight and left the speedway. The guy died. Back then they didn't have the catch fence. NASCAR needs to make one change to the COT and it will work. The only things that worries me is on flat tracks. It will suffer. IRL cars going 225-240 is dangerous. An unrestricted Cup car goes about 235 max. The old car, idk about the COT.
