  • awesome! i just realized you're the guitarist from Blondie haha thats sick

  • Thanks! I ended up buying one and I'm very happy with it. I've posted some vids with it at my channel.

  • @capinyoassproduction Thanks ! Be sure to check out unitedwetab often because there are always more tabs/videos going up !

  • hey bro i built one of those guitars and yours is great but put some where on the neck it would much better

  • @heyfuckyou1997 I'm trying my best to find the time to put the wear it deserves =)

  • great playing!

how does the classic 20 interact with the volume knob? does it clear up nicely when you turn the volume down?

    thanks

  • @gullywoots The Classic 20 interacts great with the volume knob. I think I had this amp completely maxed on every knob and it still cleaned up nicely.

  • Damn Tommy...Sounding great as usual. I'm gong to have to jam with you on my drums. ;) See you at the show soon. Jim

  • woow, nice!: D

But where did you get the guitar?

or where can I buy the a guitar?

  • The guitar is made from parts just like the original. A good friend of mine built the guitar for me but you can always find people selling similar ones

  • that guitar is sexy love the finish

  • you can thank Eddie for the finish idea :)

  • he has the best pickups in his guitar maybe he might have evh amp also

  • I do use a new EVH head in a show that I do but for these videos, I rely on the trusty ol' Peavey Classic 20

  • @tommykesslermusic wow nice tone perfect for my playing. I saw a Peavey Classic 20 for sale at $250 do you think it's a good deal?

  • @fingertapper1 I think it's a great amp and one you will keep around for anything around that price

  • THIS ROCKS !!!!

    Great Job on PANAMA

  • Thanks man ! I'll try to post some more EVH videos using the same set up soon

  • You mentioned that you were straight into the amp and using no effects, What pickup are you using and have you made any mods to the amp? New tubes and if so which ones? also, is that the stock speaker?

  • The PUP in the guitar is a Seymour Duncan Custom Shop '78 Model. The tubes in the amp are JJ and they aren't new. Stock 10'' Speaker.

  • Wow great job!

  • Thanks man....keep an eye out for more videos in the future !

  • Hey thanks, this really did help me. I think I've just about got it down now. I appreciate it!

  • Glad I could help. Hope to have some more videos up as soon as I can find the time !

  • you the man..fucked it up at about.50 secs..still who gives a fuck when you can play like that

  • So the timing was a little off at that part. Good ear !

Glad you could still enjoy it =)

  • that guy did a great guitar ! the tone is almost perfect in line of van halen brown sound ! really a super guitar ... and a super guitar player ! ;-))

  • very nice ! You rock ! I liked the pure sound , with no effects ... give you the right dinamic on the notes you play ! Thumbs up for you ! Great guitar work ! ... And Cool guitar you have ! :-))

  • Thanks for checking out the video man. I'm forever in debt to the guy who built that guitar, it's a monster !

  • Dude you are still the best Guitarist I've had the honour of playing with. YOU ROCK!

  • Yo Alneil ! Thanks man...yup those days back in West New York with Psyche were a blast !

  • thas a sweet frank copy, red white n black goin everywere.. not meny classic 20s out ther duz it gotta effect loop?

  • Unfortunately it doesn't have an effects loop...I wish it did like all it's bigger brothers

  • Freakin bad ass brother.

  • Thanks man ! We need to see some Floyd from you my friend !

  • Nice work whats your set up I love the distortion are you using any pedals

  • Thanks man.....no pedals on this one...just the guitar straight into a Peavey Classic 20 !

  • Hey man, fkn awesome job. 5/5 man. One question. What frets do you hit the strings at to get the pitch harmonics at 1:43

  • thanks man...the harmonics you are asking about are natural ones. they are found on the top three strings and at these frets - "e" string is @ the 5th fret, "b" string is @ the 4th fret and the "g" string is @ the 4th fret...you'll hear the rhythm and a decent amount of gain helps bring out the harmonics on the 4th frets !

  • is the C20 too loud for bedroom use?

  • not at all...if you listen to my eruption video, you can actually hear the strings being plucked because the amp isn't that loud. I actually mic'ed the amp on this video so you can't hear anything but that.

  • cool. just one last thing before I pull the trigger.. how does it handle hard rock type of gain? like gnr, motley crue, whitesnake, etc

  • Well it handles VH great and that's quite a bit of gain that will keep up with anyone you mentioned. Only downfall is it's a 10 inch speaker so not as much chuggin is going on but bedroom volumes it's not missed

  • Great video! definitely one of the best

    one question:

After you bend the F at about 2:18 do you hit a c# after it ?

  • Thanks man ! I'm not sure which bend you are talking about but at about 2:18 i hit a "C" (technically a "B" because the guitar is tuned down 1/2 steps) power chord at the 8th fret...hope this answers your questions

  • Hey Tommy,

Great video! Are the harmonics pinch, open string or both?

Hope the Blaze heavywatter is serving you well!

    Ainsworth

  • Hey Ainsworth ! The heaveywatter is great and has already been used on a few recordings !

About your question, depends on which ones you are talking about. Both types of harmonics are used

  • Glad that little bad boy is serving you well. Nice to know it is in great hands!

First one looks like pinch with a finger vibrato, next bunch (and most of them) look open, although there appears to be another pinch at about 1:31

Please let me know if you are playing a gig somewhere in the area, would love to hear you live.

  • Wooow ! :| thanks you my band now can play it.

  • Glad I could help ! Let me know if you have any questions and good luck !

  • very nice man :) you inspired me to learn this song and buy a strat :P thx man :)

  • What amp are you using?

  • I'm using a Peavey Classic 20 in both this video and the Eruption video

  • hey man nice job,

needs some work on the harmonics in the verse and then play the 9th fret before u go and tap the strings.. 2:04-2:05

  • Wow.

  • Thanks for the kudos PGM992 and thank you for the critique quiksilver93x. Glad you guys both enjoyed the video !

  • wer u get that guitar from?

and how much? (if you dont mind me askin) ?

    Dean

  • did you make the guitar yourself? if so it looks really good

  • Nope I have no idea how to make guitars haha...My guitar tech made it for me...he's a VH nut...glad it came out in the guitar he made for me !

  • i agree wit u hudsonhere but its just playin

do u know where i can fid a decent lesson or tab

  • just google "panama tab" and any of those will be able to show you the basics...then watch a video of someone playing it to pick up tricks and tips =)

  • how is that teaching its playing i thouht i finaly found a vid how but fuk of course not

  • Just "showing" you visually how to play all the licks without any backing music to distract you...take it for what it's worth =)

  • how about a beginner's lesson please? lol

  • that was nice... what do u use for ur tone? like what amp or pedal

  • I have it listed in my Eruption video...be sure to check that out too !

It's a frankenstein ran through a peavey classic 20 amp...thanks for checking it out !
