To get a smililar effect I usualy use Sony Vegas Pro 10, Brightness with contrast, with contrast up a good bit, color balance tweak, and black and white up to desaturate the colors. What about you? Nice video by the way!
Beautiful footage, but the vignetts is SO huge. Looks bad. I love the contrast.If I were you, I'd get twixtor or AE's pixel motion. With good footage, you can slow it down 2000 times.
Don't believe me, search twixtor and you will see.
I have AE, I interpreted 60p footage to 24p, and then stretched it 20,000 times the normal length, which was a fraction of a second. It was a longboarder sliding.
Not sure why anyone would have negative comments. I thought your video was awesome. Thanks for posting...you have given me some great ideas to use when I shoot and edit my next video.
Recently lost the password to this account :p, but check out my alternative channel and check out "The Cottage -- Slow Motion Wakeboarding". The slow motion is better in it.
sorry, just not that good. i've tried slow motioning my footage aswell and i get the same framerate by slowing down the 24p footage.. This isnt really smooth at all
alright. that's because of the region you live in, so the camcorder uses the PAL system which is at 50i. so in your editing software set the video to playback at 48% to get 24 frames per second out of it.
60i is 30fps. just in case you all think it's 60fps. It's not.

Any reason why you went from 60i to 24p? typically you want to go 60i to 30p

Whats the difference between 60i and 60p. I know its interlaced and non interlaced, but visually, whats the difference.

if you played it at regular speed it would look really choppy.

Frame rate is too low, doesn't look right.
Nice colour correcting though

Are you sure this is deinterlaced down to 24p? Since more 30p to 24p to me, try to use avisynth or something like that.

Hi, is "i" easier and better to slow it down than "p" - i mean for example: 50i vs 50p.
thanks!

@JaHelmut yeah when you reverse telcine it will make the video jittery...always better to just shoot in 24

whats the effect on the image, or is it a filter?
SirToppimHat 2 years ago 2
there's a bunch! it's not just one effect, it was an fx chain made up of multiple different ones stacked on each other.

i got caonon hg 10, bud how can i get the 60 i?
wieweett 2 years ago
@wieweett
Go into the camera menu, and choose the recording/in setup menu. From there, select 'HD STANDARD'.
In the HD STANDARD menu, you'll see '1080/60i'. That's what you want. By default I think the camera shoots at that anyways.
That's how i do it on the HV30, that's how it should be on the HG10.
12ampvacume 2 years ago
@12ampvacume
thanks, bud i can only seet 50i with 1080
good enough i guess.
wieweett 2 years ago

alright. that's because of the region you live in, so the camcorder uses the PAL system which is at 50i. so in your editing software set the video to playback at 48% to get 24 frames per second out of it.
