  • As mezmorizingly haunting as"Lay me Down". So beautiful and with so much love..

  • Miss you Mom.

    Finally at peace.

    Love.

  • i saw them here in eugene and it was the most peaceful concert i ever went too. wish they would come back im there!

  • Wonderful. And great to see Stills totally into this song. Maybe involved in working up the arrangement? Different than the original CN version. Stills the artful techno musician of the bunch has always collaborated with others but oddly not often with David. But some of the most interesting, beautiful music comes out of Crosby-Stills (Long Time and Wooden Ships come to mind.) Wish we could have more, no Nash, no Young. Not against them. Just be interested to hear more CS.

  • I thought Graham Nash wrote this? Didn't he record it on his solo record? Either way, great song..

  • @mrchrisization. No, it was on the 2nd Crosby/Nash album, Wind On The Water

  • @mrchrisization David Crosby wrote this song. Neil Young gives it a very

complimentary introduction, and vocal backup. All four guitars are in use.

  • Just a great song. Perfect.

  • Crosby is an incredible songwriter-- often overlooked as such a creative musician

  • Was expecting (and hoping) to hear a cover of The Stampeders' classic.

  • CSNY are one of the most talanted bands it has been my pleasure to witness and i truely thank God for allowing me that pleasure!

  • Neil Young introduces this song, complimenting David Crosby for writing it..

Nice to see all four of them here. The death of Crosby's mother prompted the

    song idea.

  • what a singer, good ole david

  • I had to liight up a J to this song.

  • Absolutely sublime.

  • thank you for sharing this precious moment in time. it means so much to me to have witnessed it.

  • I think you have to fit Brian Wilson and the Beach Boys in there somewhere too if you're talking the 60's.

  • In my own humble opinion, as a child of the late 50s early 60s, this group was only overshadowed by the beatles as far as talent, individuallyt and collectively.

  • Now that he's lost his GUN they could be alive together......

  • Only in the 60's and 70's could there be the birth of such artists as CSN&Y collectively and individually. A wonderful expression of humanity, love and wisdom, that wouldn't survive if attempted today. The ugliness of the 21st century has cast a pall on the arts. It's robbed our kids, killed many of them in a needless war, primed by greedy old money. The 60's and 70's have been criticized for its hippies and smokers, but there's no comparison between the haters of today and those lovely artists!

  • very nice, very true

  • don't get me wrong here, i really like the 60s and 70s, too, but in my oppinion the 21st century is just as bad as the 20st century. wars have been fought during all history of mankind and after all every war is needless and could be avoided if people would just come to equal terms. the only thing that has changed is how people try to live on despite of that 'thing' that you call uglyness. But no offense here, thats just my oppinion... and this music is really great, i agree with you there :)

  • @redibeaver I believe the future will or is being reverted to the real performances from 60's & 70's. You can't keep a human being interested in synth sounds for too long. Talent will be more valued than empty synth sounds....

  • Time is a brute but luckily, these artists have survived with grace and beauty...We are so incredibly lucky to have them. I will never reconcile, personally, the hate, greed and black-hearted haters that have infested my Country now. America was innocent and ARTISTIC, rewarding those who worked hard and so many artists publishing FANTASTIC music, writing, painting, dance and those wonderful expressions of humanity.

BUSH killed so many and cast a pall on the world with his ignorance and hatred.

  • oh my....I hate bush, but to blame him for the world.

Was nixon any better? without him, where would Ohio have come from? All the other anti-vietnam songs? Funny, most of the assholes who booed sinead oconner own stock in companies that have slave shops in vietnam. truth. that is the brutal truth. The who was right....I hope they die before they get old...Madorff took care of most of those assholese

  • 4 and a half stars for a somewhat autobiographical song, sung so sweetly from the heart of David Crosby?

(A girlfriend in his youth/teens, as well as the death of his Mother.)

    I love you Mom.

  • Neil is so great!

  • Neil compliments David on the song: it's actually in Neil Young's style. The accoustic opening, the introspective lyric and some of Neil's favorite chords.

  • Neil Young and Stephen Stills are the same age; 63 here. Crosby and Nash are the same age, 66. Crosby's voice unchanged after decades of substance abuse.

  • Some luck out like that.

  • Holy crap the whole fam damily ;-))

    Yeeehaaaa! ;-)))

Thank you so much for posting this!

  • makes me miss my mom

  • song writing at its best

  • Very nostalgic. Thinking of how long these guys have been around and the influence they've had on so many is incredible.

  • (speaking of the devil: caught ChrisHillman's show last Fri. Spot ON!)
