The match started right off the bat with no lifebars; I thought you had to wait until after the characters starting animations had finished before you could do that.

not exactly, as the mugen window appears, before the match actually shows it self, on teh black screen, you can press Ctrl+L to turn the lifebars off, before the match appears.

it doesn't work all the time, but if you time it right, or try enough times, you can make them not appear, before the animations could start. so it would be like there was none to start with.

what's the music playing when the fight's over?

is chen-mao a real character or an altered karin sprite from alpha 3?

Answer to the first question: the music that's playing while it's over is from what i can understand, Dudley's ending music from SF3.

Answer to the second question: Chen-Mao is a real character, from the fighting game, Asura Buster.

Thanks. I'm starting to like how these are coming out. because it just give into more of the feeling for these battles. and it makes one wonder who will really. win. I need to do this more.
