3. we've had a hit like this at our track which has barricades at the long ends and 'dug in' barricades on either side, a guy got hung up on the dug in side right near the grandstand and my uncle and family friend were bashing him to dust, now the guy either quit or moved.

OMS banned him from all their shows after he purposely whipped a shitty in front of Freeze and nailed him with mud. Perham has someone else putting them on now so I don't remember if he's still banned or not. 2. OUCH!!!! That really sucks!!! Fire is the one thing that is always in the back of mind when running a car.
@GGGinyourface3 3. I'll keep Blue Earth in mind this summer. It's a little bit of a drive, but who knows. You don't have to worry about me cheating, I haven't figured out how yet, lol. ;D
@sabicp 3. k and if you need a car contact Randy Mosliski for a 70 ford going for 400 fully striped and an engine for 350. 3B. we only got one guy who cheats(the rest have moved or stopped coming), colton neuhalfen #11x (but last year he got caught and had to remove a couple lbs of metal)
@GGGinyourface3 Thanks for the info on the car. I run compacts though. They are a lot cheaper and i'm on a budget. The 3 cars i got planned for next year I paid a whopping 50 bucks a peice and they drove on the trailer, lol. Sounds like you guys got your cheaters under control, I like that.
@sabicp yeah i bought my compact for 250 and its buried in 3 ft of snow now then i got a second one with a prebuilt engine free from a relative of one of my teamates who does alot of truck derbies in the cities.
@GGGinyourface3 Yeah, 250 seems to be going price for a lot of the compacts. I've got lucky with my cars and haven't had to pay that much yet. Currently I'm sitting on 8 cars and have yet to pay over 150. You gotta love a free car. Doesn't matter what it is, IT'S FREE!!! lol

@sabicp 1. no its actually scott scheid (theres 12 scott scheids in MN so hard to find out which one) got banned from most northern tracks because he used to do full power full track hits. twice his car got stuck IN the other car. 2. yeah now hes out for 1or 2 more years.

I'm getting into US demo derbies a bit more; much slower than in the UK but our Bangers are built harder - H-frame behind the driver, door plates, 5-point harness - so we can hit at speed. Haven't seen a demo fold that much for some time!
Do a search for 'king of the peak 2010 stormins big hit' for a taste of a biggie here - the crash is just over a minute in. Incredibly the driver escaped with very minor injuries.
I just watched it. That fricken nuts!! Type in "reapers big crash" It a different view of the same crash. Also shows what the car looked like before the hit. It was already prebent.
