scanners from back in the day! My experiences with scanning with the old crystal scanners belonging to my dad an grandfather. I remember when i saw my grandfather's first programmable scanner and was shocked there were no flashing channel lights. Hard to beleive that this was in 1983, almost 30 years ago.
I have noticed something weird about the Bearcat line of scanners. Sometimes a particular radio says Uniden Bearcat, and others say Electra bearcat. (?) My Bearcat 210XLT is made by Uniden.
I like the Vacuum-Fluorescent display on the Regency R1070 and the LED display on the Bearcat 210. Gotta love that 80's display technology!
