Hey I dont wana be one of those annoying people that post about their videos to get views, I just want feed back, and because u love this epic music I was hoping that you guys would like to give me feedback on mine that i composed my self on Noteworthy, my newest one is called Containment1950 and its about the Korean Conflict that my Uncle served in I would love to here if u guys like it, even though it sounds a bit midi because of the software This will be posted around for feedback, not spam
It's a little blocky, but if you got musicians playing it, they could smooth it out by feel. Other than that, I have very few issues with the piece, and some bit's in it are really inspired. 3:50 - 4:00 was genious, 1:10 - 1:23 was a nice change of feel, and 1:23 - 1:38 makes the metalhead in me orgasm. All in all, really nice job :]
you made that all? wow, that's just some talent :) sounds nice! so what program/programs did you use to make this? is music like that possible to be made with finale or sibelius softwares? :O Since those two are the only ones i know how to use :D and once again, nice job! I bet making music with so many instruments requires not only musical talent but also much of technical talent with those softwares :O
@dadnapt24 It begins in Bb, then modulates to Eb at the main theme, then modulates up a whole tone to F, then at the end goes back to Eb, and modulates up a semitone to end on E. :).
I really love this piece. I love your inspiration and the flavors you put into this musical recipe. I'm creating music myself but Im just a beginner. But still. Keep up the good work!!

This is truelty amazing to me. In the video there are some Sibelius pics. What did you do to make and so realistic and how hard would it be for me to use it to take some of my works and make them sound like that
@bobhanchef I think is from something else, which tells you that there are so many out there that eventually you will find something similar but it is not., anyhow, this came out great. Thanks for sharing.
Hey man, I'm also a composer and I can tell you this piece is really cute! It reminds me of the music Jan Kaczmarek wrote for the movie "Neverland"... well done!!
Super Music ! Congrats ! But can you tell me how you get the chimes in sibelius ? There is an instrument who's called "chimes", but it's only orchestral bells
It makes me afraid that people are more and more replaced by computers. Now, even music is performed by them. In some years, music will be written by them as well...
That was absolutlely antastics.
Hey people, thanks again for all the nice comments; they are greatly appreciated. I had no idea people would actually like this, as I only compose to my own tastes XD.

Great Job my friend!! Simply wonderful!!! I`m writing a symphony using software instruments too (Apple JamPack) but my music is WAY more classic, like Beethoven, Brahms or Schubert... Your piece sounds like a film score, more modern. Great work, you have future!!

from your other acct, it seems like you use cakewalk sonar. from 1:14-1:20, i think i heard pizz by the strings. those effects are all included in the program you're using right? also, at around 1:50, i saw notes and staffs, does the program have the feature where you actually get to load/print the scores? also, there's no limit as to how many staffs you're allowed to include in each file right? i am looking for a good composition program. i want to switch the programs i use...thx in advance!!!!
Wow your good. This sounds like film music. But do you have a form in mind? Or a story ? What guided you thorugh the process? Hope to hear from you !!
It's pretty good. It has the right style for what the title is saying. There are a few parts that sounded like they didn't belong but overall it was very good. Keep composing!
now i realized you used Edirol? mm, don't you find it hassle to keep save/upload the instrument in Edirol? it's because by default, Edirol not save our preset right?
The composition itself was composed in a couple of weeks, it was then about 2-3 months of 'realising' it within the program to make it sound realistic and dynamic; which still isn't perfect XD.

@odoylerules47 It's about your attitude, whether you are willing to improve your works for your audiences or just stay where you are and enjoy yourself. I would carefully analyze every critics that comes to my works.
I really enjoyed this piece. Very good! Especially for your first stab at an orchestra composition. It has a very simple, but well-rounded feel to it. Thanks for uploading it!
Regardless what style you guys are argueing about, its a good piece, keep up the work. i compose for orchestra myself. but at beginner stage :P This piece is more soundrack style in my opinion for a movie.
I've taught myself music my whole life, my mum's a single parent and has never been able to afford tuition for me, I taught myself to read it, play the piano, drums, violin, and sing. I have Asperger's Syndrome and listen to music on a completely different plane than others, composition is something I naturally got in to doing, and I compose music that I would deem 'amazing' if I were to hear it. I've made it to University studying Music Composition, so obviously I'm doing something right.
Haha that's fine. I do understand the compositional process is very simple. I frequently hear more interesting orchestrations in my head which are much more complex, it's a case of me getting them down though which is difficult at the moment. I'm guessing you like more ambiguous music?
it sounds like it belongs in a soundtrack for a movie. very beautiful. i love your use of precussion in the piece adds something that many composers dont do to often. =]
Ahoy everyone, thanks again for all the comments, they are much appreciated. Just a little note for anybody not aware, watching in high quality will increase the quality of the audio; it's a bit rubbish in normal mode.
Well done, and congratulations on getting Edirol to work, I've never managed to get that to function, so I use my Roland synth for sound production instead:) 5/5 I really like the part starting at 2:08, by the way.
it sounds very powerful...I don't get the change of theme from the glorious begining to that point where you have a darker mysterious happening, and then it just sounds like running in the wind freely :X:X:X I love what you've done...are you german or is the tittle the only thing german about it?
Ahoy, I'm British and American, it's in German due to the subject of the piece having a thing for the German language, and a couple of my friends living abroad I sent the score to are German. The darker mysterious bit is about a brief event at the 2006 Christmas Ball at my college, it's supposed to represent making a fool out of myself after a bit to drink ;), and being out of control, not in a violent way, but just generally. I might put a full overture style outline in the description. . .
Great piece. It has many changes with dynamic, something you see more in movie soundtracks than most older classical pieces but this seems to tell a nice story.
To be honest, I would have liked to see more of a tutorial of how you wrote the composition with Sonar 6.
I just bought Sonar 7 recently along with a M-Audio interface just for making demo drafts, not fully composed, mixed, and mastered pieces but I would still like to see how your composition was made from scratch.
Whoa this is really good! I've put some of my own orchestral compositions on youtube. Feel free to check them out. I'd love to get an opinion from someone who writes as well as you. Awesome piece!

I've made it to University studying Music Composition, so obviously I'm doing something right.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
your english. but in my opinion this peace really sucks, sorry. i dont like this kind of contemporary classics

Haha that's fine. I do understand the compositional process is very simple. I frequently hear more interesting orchestrations in my head which are much more complex, it's a case of me getting them down though which is difficult at the moment. I'm guessing you like more ambiguous music?

this is genius

@gokebe i dont thik so
its based on traditionaltechnics i dont like it at all
jacuaw 2 years ago
yeah your talking about the complexity, the respect it gets from other composers. I don't think regular people hear all that

Ahoy everyone, thanks again for all the comments, they are much appreciated. Just a little note for anybody not aware, watching in high quality will increase the quality of the audio; it's a bit rubbish in normal mode.

*GREAT* work! I especially like the transition at about 3:50 to the end... such a fun and creative layering of elements.
And... THANK YOU for proving that synth\computer music can be more than trance\techo stuff.
Well done.... I hope you get the girl. :)

Dakoo89 2 years ago

Thanks!

Whoa this is really good! I've put some of my own orchestral compositions on youtube. Feel free to check them out. I'd love to get an opinion from someone who writes as well as you. Awesome piece!
