No man can serve two masters Matthew 6:24 but I'll tell you this if you like to do some thing that you know is wrong, then ask God to help you overcome it or for him to take the word out of your heart and he will I know this from experience no man is born perfect, it is God that makes us perfect. I wish you the best on you way to being a good Christan also listen to Malachi 4:5 a.k.a William Branham he makes the word more clear to you God sent him for a reason to see him visit my channel
I have met Ruth Fazal on a few occasions and know that she would find that comment most offensive. Her songs are not hypnotic, being far less repetitive than most other contemporary worship music. If anything, they make you engage your mind, not turn it off.
crap, I know everything about this movement and its nonsense, there is no proof of god on eath and this stuff is for the wak but its good that it keeps the sheep busy, but to be honest i was meant to lead not be a pathetic christian
PLEASE don't waste your life! Live it to the full! Too many religious types tell you to despise this life, setting aside your plans and passions to "set aside treasures in heaven." Or else they threaten you with terrible lies about an eternal torture chamber operated by "the god of love." I mean, that's pretty stupid, right? THIS life is all you have. The "life after death" is a bronze-age myth. "Emancipate yourself from mental slavery! None but ourselves can free our minds!" - Bob Marley
nice, thanks for the message. i actually am a huge ruth fazal fan. I just wanted people to be able to share in the worship that I was able to experience that night. Heidi Baker was speaking, and I have worked with Iris 4 times, and am now a missionary in Cambodia.
This whole concept of "soaking" came out of recent Charismatic worship driven templates and is NOT scriptural in the least.
The music had a place in the Levitical priesthood but neither Jesus or the Apostles taught or observed the creation of some outward worship atmosphere.
Well I see some of the responded commentees say make-sense things, i believe God works in mysterious ways, but we should never look the other way for something that feels better, God isn't a necissarily a feel good God, he's a get to good stuff in life God. I'm just warning here!;)
Yes, while this is true, God can and does do his work...Where ever God is, and whatever God does, satan will try to mock it - my pastor did a great sermon on this this past sunday. I have observed this, and yes people can be tricked, but God is also at work. The best thing we can do is pray, and ask God for us to see how he is working, because he does do meaningful work!
soaking? oh yes put your discernment on the side and let the devil in. oh but it FEELS so good it must be God oh it must be God. umm ive seen alot of it and its too bad satan is able to trick many infant christians with these theactrics.
We have a meeting once a week where for two hours people seek God and receive prayer. They read their Bibles and they seek his face. They are encouraged to live for him and they encourage and pray for one another. because of meeting regularly to do this people are growing in their Faith. What do you think?
Shame on whoever thumbs down'd this person. A LOT of Christians are confused by this! Look at the fruit of this movement. Damage, division, confusion.
This movement has spread love and joy and peace. Soaking is all over the world and is a Biblical term - it comes from the greek for Immersion baptism - "baptidso" transliterated with possibly a slight misspelling :0) - which means to immerse in the same way you would immerse a pickle in order for it to be flavoured like the solution it's in. If I spend time in the presence of God regularly I will be more and more like him in the way I live. I love Jesus and I love his presence. That's all it is!

@1robster1 Remember C is average and there are a lot of dumb ones below that. I wouldn't mind leading and preaching bullshit to get their money ;P

@1robster1 I agree. Gatherings like this were one one of the main reasons why I stopped going to church.

Soaking? Yeah why not. Ever heard of "waiting on the Lord"? Sounds good to me, they just gave it a cool name :)

If the real Spirit of Pentecost that came in ACTS ever shows up we will not need to be "ushered in" to anything.
Also let me remind you people that God is still sovereign and does NOT need a special environment to move or speak in.

It is 90% emotional and soulish and 10% flesh.
