This is terrible! Especially since it is done without any pain reliever or anesthesia. But this makes me think, why do we do male circumcisions then? @hamooddyy I think you would have to compare a FULL female circumcision to subincision. It's really disgusting, and is just as bad if not worse because it doesn't just affect sex.
However neither of these mutilations are common, usually female circumcision is only removing a piece of the genitals. Which probably has the same damage (e.g less pleasure) as male circumcision.
Anyway we should stop comparing, all mutilations are wrong and should be banned.

While this may be true, the removal of foreskin does not prevent men from feeling pleasure during sexual activity. Women who experience FGM have their CLITORIS and sometimes part of their labia minora and majora CUT OFF, leaving them in excruciating pain and unable to feel pleasure during sexual intercourse. You cannot even attempt to compare male circumcision to FGM!

I agree that circumcision is not necessary and usually is disgusting, I would like to point out that a good portion of male circumcision is done in a hospital, whereas almost all female circumcision is done in poor countries, without any medication, in unsanitary and life threatening conditions. 9 in every 100k boys die because of complications due to circumcision, but female circumcision causes infertility, death, abnormal menstruation, tetanus, anemia, and major (deadly) birthing issues.

You can't change everything all at once. 9/100k isn't right, but at least it doesn't kill both mother and baby. Death rate of newborns jumped 1.4 percent (6.4% total) with FGM, & considering that nearly .3% of FGM happen in hospitals, and 80% at home. And yes, while there aren't statistics about this, its because people disregard it as a major issue.

The are only cons:
- Nearly total loss of sensitivity
- Flood of Cortizone (stress hormone) which fucks with the brain, can cause mental problems in later life. I have a few speech impediments, all can be traced to this trauma.
- You are made fun of, a lot.
- 100 baby boys die annually.
- Some experience painful erections.

Can't say there is or isn't a loss of sensitivity, because one would need to be sexually active, then get circumcised, then report on their findings, which I haven't heard of a study that does so. I still enjoy sex & have a lot of feeling. I don't have mental problems. Uncircumcised boys get made fun of a lot (ant-eater dicks) in locker rooms, not the other way around. Don't know about the rest.

DX i think things are beautiful the way they are. and women shouldnt get there genitals cut off and men shouldnt get their foreskin cut off. nothing cut off. people shouldnt even wear make-up.
