  • interesting how ppl whine and cry about it and protest. don't they realize they too will die and decay and turn in the same dust from where we started. and there's no life after death...how is that possible. i dont understand science or the church but when we die we go bye bye and ppl need in the western society NEED TO GROW UP....when we cut back all our skin and when you crack open the skull and tear back the ribs there will be orgrans, among vessels and tissues and muscles... GREAT....

  • I actually saw this on a high school field trip in Detroit. The bodies belonged to people who wanted their cadavers put on display for education reasons. They are also paid well before they die. So it's hard to call it a taboo.

  • fuck why do I live in this generation its to gruesome

  • I love this!! Very educational. I mean how else will we explore and understand the human body?! Keep doing what u do Dr.

  • I've been to a couple of these exhibits. They are really fascinating! They even had a whole preserved horse and camel. It's incredible to see the evry fine details of the human body.

  • @booksandvideos ---The muscles and everything looks really cool....Fascinating, the interiors of our bodies and animals', too!

  • This exhibition is coming to wheere I liive :D woooooo!

  • i say someone take congress and make an animatronic robot out of the bodies, they can give you a tour of the place and actually be useful for once lol

but the dumbfucks who get kicked in the teeth by these arseholes would rather get raped in the ass before they could grow some balls and view sum real fucking art... its priceless... lol

  • I want to donate my body to plastination. After all, no funeral costs, and you help people learn about the body. Awesome exhibit.

  • I feel almost bad for feeling so disgusted with this. I know it could be helpful to education.

  • Some people are just mad because having a body burried or cremated is comon for us, then to donate it to an exhibition But when you think about it; out body is like a shell, when we die we leave it. No need to ''have the body in peace''. Not saying having your body burried or cremated is bad. Just that this exhibition is good for us & if the person who died did approve of this then everyone's happy :)

  • ew

  • This is just creepy, How the fuck would someone think of doing this?

  • of course hes german it all makes sense now!

  • people pay to see a bunch of skined corpses?fucking creepy

  • did the nazis ever buried dead jews? fucking germans

  • I want this to be done to me when I die. Either that, or donate all my organs.

  • PENIS!!!

  • These are so beautiful. What a waste to bury a body, donate it to science or art!

  • The taboo to me are the people that can skin a person

  • I'm pretty sure that the person before dying

Gave permission to donate his(her) body

Theres a word for that but I can't remember

  • @Gibranmacias911 Is it consent? Also I wouldn't mind giving this person my cadaver for it to be displayed, I would rather have my body in a gallery for people to learn, than have it rot in a grave.

  • This show needs to come to Chicago. That is really cool.

  • Very education and why not use what god gave us to teach others rather than be put into the ground and rot or be burnt!!!

  • So did these people give permission to be turned into displays like this? What are these bodies? Random deaths? Did they ask family members at all?

  • call me crazy, but I thought Human Cadaver was a song by Skinless.

  • Leave it to a German to think this one up... sounds like a Sick Puppy too me.

  • jeffery dahmer would love this lmao

  • The guy with the skateboard was pretty cool.

Its gross to look at personally. But if others like it, then i say all the power to you.

The people were willing to donate their bodies, so its not such a bad thing what he is doing.

  • LMFAO I thought this was a death metal band! I'm gonna steal the title for a song

  • The human machine, laid out plain for the living to marvel.

I wonder if this is how computers would feel if presented with a User Manual.

  • Ewwww......This is fucking gross....... XD

  • Different... Artistic? Yes. Disturbing? A bit. Unnatural? Absolutely! He's halting a natural process of decay and artificially preserving it. Unethical? Certainly not. Well done!

  • Personally I don't care about what happens to my body once I'm dead simply because their is no need for it. I rather have my body made into something that could help benefit society than be a meal to the insects that lurk in the ground below.

  • nasty

  • It's actually very beautiful.

  • Geezzzz... National Geographic... Don't scare people away from this exhibit!!

"Its controversial~ because of points one two three~" BAHH!!

My family is Christian, and my parents had to work with cadavers in medical school. They had to cut them up to study the anatomy of the human body. I went to Body Worlds and I think I would rather go to Body Worlds rather then to cut a cadaver for myself.

Regular Cadavers look more creepy...They're all too stiff~

  • Jeffrey Dohmer would cream his pants if he were alive today...

  • this guy is my hero and has been ever since I can remember as a child

  • Comment removed

  • I just signed up to donate my body to Body Worlds; however, my organs will be donated for a good cause to save other people's life. Plastination is no desecration!

  • ridiculous. Instead of using those parts to help the billions of ppl who desperatly need them, they pose them in some freak show were fcking future serial killers go to enjoy looking at a pile of dead people, I guess humans aren't as "evolved" as they would like to think. This is not fcking art, its just disgusting and weird, use clay or some shit not actual human parts!

  • @Brandonisrad18 yes let us forget the body's of 100s of people who die in a DAY.

  • @Brandonisrad18 you can't use organs or any of the body part once the body dies. the only way people can donate their organs if the person is brain dead while their body is still functioning.

  • @Brandonisrad18 you can't use organs or any part of the body once the body dies. the only way people can donate their organs if the person is brain dead while their body is still functioning.

  • Nazi experiment!

  • This is more like showing off the body then dehumanizing it.

  • When I die, I want to either have my organs sold to people who need them, or burry by body with an orange seed planted above me. That way, I can feed an orange tree, and when people eat the oranges, I can inhabit each of their bodies. He he he.

  • this is fucking scary

  • This was in Los Angeles not to long ago. I missed a great display show.

  • Unlike the (seeming) concensus, I'd like to feed bugs when I go, and worms, returning my elemental self to the earth.

But that said, this is both educational and cool.

  • I wouldn't mind being displayed like this after I die... As long as they make my dick look HUGE... I mean, it already is, but... You know.

  • This is so beautiful. I want to work with this guy so bad. Such a cool process.

  • i dont know how people would want to be like this fuck that shit i want to be berried this shits scary !

  • @pimp1ecker Berried? As in like... covered in berries? Yeah that would be pretty sweet.

  • are this zombies real or fake plastic made -__-

  • I think thi sis a good study & that if a person wants this done to them it is their choice they give the whole body not just the organs! This I say is final choice of person who dies if they want this done to their body so be it!

  • this guy is badass in my book no matter how fucken crazy that shit is thats awsome

  • @tom00440 your damn right brotha! i watch all his tapings over the summer... such coolness!

  • I saw this exhibit in real life for my birthday several years ago. It was an amazing experience, but you are acutely aware that they are indeed real bodies. It's not for everyone though (especially the fetal section). It's definitely a must-see for anyone in the medical field/students.

  • "profiting from the dead strikes some as taboo" -- seriously? lots of people profit from the dead: funeral homes, cemeteries, insurance companies, companies who sell coffins and gravestones, even families profit through wills or insurance money..some people do it in the name of religion, some do it for science. But hey that's just my opinion :P

  • @EMandAPOLLO But those are services.

  • hi ho

  • if i die of a disese i would donate it to sciene but if its time for the Lord to take me ill be put in a coffin

  • @abbycadabbie Why would it make any difference at all?

  • i wanna be a statue too :)

  • This show is in NYC right now... I wish I could have seen it.

  • who the fuck said anything about lethal u moron(s). EVERYONE who commented on my comment is ignorant.

God said one thing - bury the dead; more specifically, bury them deep.

don't know why? don't ask me; go figure it out yourself.

  • @iuzarneim zombies.

  • @RustPuppet42 ahhaha lol no.

there is dark magic that can be done with human remains.

not everything is as it seems.

anyway, this stuff the video shows doesn't seem dangerous.

the body's owner is responsible for anything in this case since the owner authorized the cadaver..

  • @iuzarneim the only thing dangerous about human remains is disease, no magic yo.

we're made of cells which are made of protein chains which are made of amino acids which are made of atoms. no magic.

  • i think anybody that thinks this is good is fucking sick what kind of people skins somebody and puts them in display.thats a fucking sin.i spit on your face

  • @isatoydez yeah, the bible even says "thou shalt not learn".

  • @isatoydez so i guess scientific research is of the devil......witchery burn them at the stake huh?

  • The thing is, yes religions say, YOUR BODY IS A TEMPLE. I understand that fully, but if you are religious you know that our body is a shell like jean said, our SOUL and SPIRIT is what matters. I see nothing wrong with this..

  • i think its pretty cool but the only thing thats wrong is that i fucking discuss me and thats why i like it

  • It is weird that religious groups are against this. I am Christian and I think of bodies only as like a shell. Whats really important is my soul since thats the only thing that will never die.

  • these bodies in the exhibit are prisoners from china that have been executed. these are not people who are willing to be partakers in this exhibit.

  • @woddensoapbox That is total bullshit. You can tell by the facial structure the majority are not oriental. Stop letting people shovel that happy horseshit to you. Go and look for yourself.

  • wtf....

  • i think its incredible id love to be able to see it

  • so why is this shit art when its done in a lab then put on display for people to see but if you do it in a basement and keep it there for you only you are crazy and go to the loony bin? and that's absolute bull shit that he can sell slices of people he should if at all only be able to give them away for "science" not to profit off of the corpse of someone this shit is wrong and immoral they have books for a reason

  • human jerky

  • ninjas!

  • calm down princess, now go take your prozac

  • you're not a fagot, yet read your own comments, shows a lot about your deepest desires, is that how you treat your mother? we can all see you're a trophy.

  • pretty pathetic kabfik, just ridiculously pathetic

just keep talking shit online, that's all you cowards are good for

  • i agree. kabfik, go shove a dick down your throat. if you dont like this video, dont click on it. NORMAL people have enough control to do so and if you can't, it just shows what a little faggot you are

  • LOL kabfik, your such a desperate looser, I love it

  • @kabfik So don't fucking watch it!

  • wow you're a fucking retard.

  • are those models, or real dead people

  • @SavetheStarving It's a Cadaver so it a real dead person!

  • ...This Gives A WHOLE New Meaning To "Nudity" :P

  • wtf happened to youtube why does it look so weird?

  • I've actually seen this. It was on display at the Orlando Science Museum a couple years ago. It was extremely fascinating to see and it is very educational. Bodies displayed parts of anatomy, nervous system, digestive system etc. The subjects donate their bodies before they die.

  • they dont get procesed until after they die.

  • Can I buy one of these?

  • This has NAZISM written all over it. I seriously doubt any of these cadavars are "Nordic". This is the humanization of humans.

  • I think it's retarded that people saying that not allowing the body to decay is unnatural... Especially we've been attempting to stop bodies from decaying (preserving the bodies) ever since Egyptian times...

  • This is a bit disgusting, yet interesting. I believe in 2008, there was a body exhibit in Texas. My family decided not to go because the bodies actually came from a prison out of the United States. The bodies were that of executed prisoners who did not give approval to show their corpses for entertainment purposes. Therefore, I do not trust the people holding these strange exhibits.

  • Art at it's best. It truly is beautiful. Sign me up, it would be an honor to have my lifeless body set up there.

  • It's beautiful.

  • what is there to learn lol

  • I think its very intreseting - but i wouldn't want to be a cadaver after seening this.

  • you belive in god, the simple idea of you thinking this sickens me as much as you hate this, live by your morals and lead your self in your own direction. You dont need a higher deity to live your life. free your mind. Religion is for weak minded people.

  • So the superstitious are saying that our bodies do not belong to us, but must be dealt with in a manner that suits them? Yeah. I'm definitely donating my body (and at 6'7", what an awesome display I'd make; I'd try to get them to pose me with my arms out and a snarl on my face! Hee-hee. For the kids)

  • How in the world is this ok?? This is desecration. Absurd! Sorry, but typically hunnish, Teutonic, and masochistic! GERMANS!!! Zoiks!

  • Really cool!I would love to see this exhibit!

  • Showing the beauty of the body is fine and well, and even making a living from doing so, but making that much fucking money from selling slices of dead corpses is bullshit.

  • What's next ?

All you can eat human buffet ?

  • How... Interesting..

  • :0

The bit about making the body slices freaked me out a little, but otherwise that was rediculously neat. Definitely want to go to one of these showings.

  • Id rather use my body in something like this than be thrown in a hole and eaten by insects.

  • @CalicheBo with all due respect, they dont just throw you in. you're lowered, in a snazzy box.

  • @RustPuppet42 That doesnt really make a difference, thrown or gently lowered. The out come is the same. It could be a box made out of pure gold, you're still gonna rot. But donating my body to science or education makes a lot more sense to me.

  • @CalicheBo i didnt say it made a difference, i just said they dont throw you :p

  • I seen this when it was on TV and enjoyed it then as I did now! It's nice to think there is alternatives after the soul as moved on (my true belief)..Kudos to the adults in this brief video for bringing their children to the exhibit.

  • this is fucking twisted.... and i love it!!!!

  • DO NOT GO TO THIS CHANNEL.

  • that last part was amazing~

  • i have seen this in real life and this is a fantastic insight into the body and how it works

  • Basically, through the eyes of me, this is it: A man decides to take human bodies, mutilate or butcher them, then preserve them in a glass for everyone to see. Respect the dead. This won't immortalize anyone. You won't even recognize yourself.

  • yes BUT its not like he just waits at a funeral home and once everyone is gone he digs them up and takes them I'm sure he has contracts with people saying that if they die he can have their bodies.

  • It just goes to show that we are all (Disgustingly) beautiful on the inside

  • thats so wierd, pleasee check out some of my video's and leave a comment or even subrscribe i'd really appriciate it

  • AWSOME

  • i wanna go there!!! i see nothing really wrong with it! :O

  • whats wrong with it is that they get the cadavers from chinese prisoners the didnt give their consent

  • how do you know that? just curious. i thought they take it from people who donate their dead bodies to science... O_O

  • Please explain where you got this information from.

  • The passion of being both analytical and artistic with human remains iss a new form of breathing life into the deceased. This is the next step of acceptance of the human body and is bound to enlighten. We need to perceive the body for what it is as a whole not just the surface. First people got angry because women showed too much skin, now they are angry because the dead show too much death. I think its the loss of the simplicity in the humanform that has people scared, the loss of the mystery.

  • i went to this is was cool

  • I'm just curious where he gets the cadavers.

  • i went to a body worlds exhibit a few years back, honestly it was probably one of the most fascinating exhibits ive ever been to. And they kept everything very professional, if the intial sight shocks you the rest of the exhibit blow you away

  • 0:42

    That looks hella savage.

  • wow thats interesting, but the sheet plastination part is even more interesting

  • I'm sorry to have to be the one to let some of you morons know, but, it's just a body. The person is dead. The person is not being disrespected, and the only ones who are making a big stink over it are ignorant morons who can't seem to handle anything that doesn't fit into their worldview that is based on absolutely nothing except convention for the sake of convention. I mean, what better way to learn about the human body than to actually see it?

  • As long as it's not being done to get off on some sick fetish, I find no problem with cadavers. They're just corpses. :<

  • Well, the thing is - These aren't statues or something to be propped up as art in public events - These are our fellow humans. When they die, we should have some respect for them. These people have loved, they've been loved, they've cried, they've smiled...They had families...I'm not saying that cutting 'em up is simply bad, but have some respect for humanity...

  • @Meadras

Respect for humanity is also allowing your fellow humans to do as they please with their bodies

  • having respec for humanity is being humble with other humans choices and opinions even if you dont agree, all theses people agreeed to donate there bodies. i too would donate my body id much rather have it display to educate, faciniate, and just for the art of it turn me into a "statue" rather then being 6 feet under to just decompose and get eaten by termites.

  • @iLoveOlivaMunn

Anything I can do to benefit the scientific / medical community after I die, kick the bucket, snuff the candle or bite the big one sounds positive. I don't want my nephews to remember me for being dumped like a bag of semi - preserved garbage after I become deceased. The money spent for a funeral can be spent on something useful. Medical research comes to mind.

  • @iLoveOlivaMunn well said

  • @iLoveOlivaMunn decomposition is a natural process that all living things go through because the elements are returned to the earth to become something else or other living forms or other humans. it's the cycle of life on earth. Humans come along and try to manipulate or change that process. It is educational but I wouldn't call it art. perhaps it's not for the mass but only those who want to study human anatomy.

  • @iLoveOlivaMunn Good Point.

  • @iLoveOlivaMunn and lol you mean maggots. termites eat wood

  • @ Meadras

If a person wanted to do this to his/her body after death, why should we prevent them from doing so? In a way, it's disrespectful to deny one's wishes after they've died.

It's nothing different then being cremated or buried. They'd rather be in an exibit, where they help teach the world more about the body and how they function in a truly fascinating way, instead of being 6 feet in the ground or a pile of ashes in a jar.

If they want to be this way, let them. Show respect.

  • I think that it's wonderful art and meaningful education, and only taboo for closeminded people, who refuse to see how innovative Von is.

  • I agree

I believe that this beautiful artform.

  • Each of the bodies are donated to the artist by the person before death. What we do with our bodies is out own business, they choose not to donate organs that is their choice. I personally feel that these displays might encourage children and others to persure a career in medicine or other medical area, and that may be of more value to the future of our bodies. I personally think that each and every body is beautiful and we are looking at the basics of God's creation.

  • i am fine with the first part. but selling the bodies? thats wrong

  • sure beats being buried in the ground, never seen again and slowly rotting away. At least this way your body becomes art, even in death.

  • Obviously, none of you (whom have responded in a close minded negative way) have studied Dr. Gunther von Hagens work and the body donation program. Dr. von Hagens is a noble man who is just trying to educate the public about what beautiful fragile yet complex organisms we are. Each person who is now a plastinate was aware of what would happen to their body and willingly signed it over. There are three different types of donations a person can choose from when signing over there body.

  • This is technically the most violent video ever posted on Youtube

  • @Meadras

Try this one and you will change your mind: H-sU42hjNIk

  • this is incredible!!!!! a good incredible. Facinating!!! this is NOT an abomination. this is science. so shut it, all of you.

  • @xinnocentdancex

*highfive!!* i agree, people should be free to do whatever they want with their bodies. Its not immoral or taboo, because he is contributing to society a learning experience.

  • I've been to one of those. I thought it was really cool, with how they show the muscles, veins, etc.

  • ahhh skin potato chips! grab the dr pepper!

  • You can get away with this shit in Germany but you cant deny the Holocost or you get prison time

  • wow kinda freaky..

  • the only thing i see wrong with this is that parts of the bodies are sold in slices and all...... but these people said they wanted their bodies donated to this, there is nothing wrong with this as a last wish....

  • I think there is nothing wrong with this. These people donated their bodies to this, so others could learn. There is no reason to fear cadavers. And Mr. 26...no, having seen these, and other cadavers, is a very different experience. You obviously don't understand bodies are needed for teaching as much as they are needed for organs. What do you think we use to create the models from. We study cadavers!

  • Why do I feel like Dr. Von Hoggins has a serious Necrophilia problem?

  • sign me up

  • Fantastic work! Fantastic video!

  • Its Sander Cohen!

  • this doesn't frighten or offend me, quite the opposite, i get a very claustrophobic feeling, thinking about being in a box under the ground.

  • i had to see this for a fieldtrip in 5th grade at my local science center. yeah, gross.

  • Comment removed

  • @OS253 why?

  • anybody find it ironic i saw a skin moisturizer ad before this video started...

  • Ahaha, there was a skin moisturizer commercial for me right before the video started.
