This is a shame. Put an animal in this unnatural situation of being a 'pet' and when it reacts accordingly...euthanize it! There are plenty of wildlife habitats in the west that would have gladly taken him...transported and all. That poor animal wasn't meant to be a pet and he paid the price for it.

@sofuggit this buffalo was being raised to harvest and was not a pet according to the owner. Some people prefer buffalo meat over beef I guess

@chrismaker0510 I read a few articles about this and although it wasn't mentioned I was afraid it was being raised for food. The public wouldn't handle it so well which is likely the reason it wasn't mentioned in news articles I found. Buffalo, pretty often, are considered an American symbol much like the Eagle. What a shame.

It is sad but this cow had a history of getting out so the owner did not want anyone to get hurt so he decided to put her down. She was being raised to harvest later anyway
