  • Can't stand Jeff bucklys version to be honest. Find it painful in a bad way

  • @seargentbrainfry; it's all a matter of opinion

  • man , my respects , awesome singer , awesome actor , nothing but perfection T_T

  • This Was Beautiful!!

  • I am jumping on the JT wagon a few years late, but this man is what all celebrities should strive to be... honest, straightforward, and able to laugh at themselves. He is a truly special human being.

  • I was never really into Justin Timberlake. But I really REALLY like his version on this song.

  • This is the best rendition of this song I've ever heard and that's not because Justin is a major hottie! It gave me goosebumps.

  • @bloodypoophole Jeff Buckley did the best version

  • by far the worst version

  • Screw Bieber, this Justin is so Much Better.

  • @DiscoveringReason I'm completely aware and that's why I began my third sentence with "for some reason..." People can feel something special from this song because of the beauty captured by their voices. It doesn't have to necessarily have anything to do with lyrical content.

  • egypt love this

  • check my channel and subscribe me guys! Thanks dude!

  • this song gives me such goosebumps

  • I admit to never being a fan of N'Sync, but in recent years I have become a fan of Justin's. As a singer, actor, entertainer in general, he has come into his own and performs very well, as this video shows. Thanks for posting, I really like this version.

  • This is a good cover don't get me wrong but i still prefer the Jeff Buckley version. This seems like a Good version for people who only listen to mainstream music and think justin timberlake is hot. but really. The original is the best. sorry

  • @woodstock8905 Jeff Buckley is not the original either. Leonard Cohen is the original. Just to clarify any misconception in your statement.

  • praise the lord

  • I swear I've listened to this over 9000 times

  • So ne scheiße des is ned ok die zocke uns ab Buh

  • Hallelujah! Amazing version by Justin! Thank you!

  • JT continues to surprise. Morris gives Timberlake's reedy voice some needed depth. It makes for a sweet, lovely

    version.

  • bobby andonov sings it better

  • Millions of dollars of coaching finally paying off

  • @BambooStalker89 Give credit where it's due. He's always been a naturally talented vocalist. It's just that you're just realizing this, and so are others.

  • holy crap justin...... thems some skills

  • GOOSEBUMPS!!!!

  • i always close my eyes and listen to this, i feel justin's voice through my soul, because this is really great.

  • So i've been watching various vids of covers of this song, cause this song kicks ass. I hate boy bands and anything boy band related but this suprisingly isnt the worst version of this song so far. That award goes to bon jovi.

  • love, love, LOVE this!

  • wow. he is such an amazing singer. =) I don't care if he was part of a boy band. XD he is really talented.

  • This was amazing i wish justin would make a commeback in making music he was amazing and this shows unlike all singers today he is actually capable of singing with no auto tune beautifull voice

  • Simply beautiful.....Justin did a great job, and although he's not nearly as well known, this performance would not have been what it was w/o Matt Morris and his sweet voice and harmonies.

  • i clicked on this thinking it wud suck but he actually killed it

  • ...what a voice!!!!!! Amazing!!!!

  • oh my gosh.. amazing.. i love it *___*

  • good performance. everyone thinks this is a gospel song. It isn't. Far from it.

  • this is just a magical song.... Justin sings this with emotion one of my favourite of justin timberlakes

  • Personally I think this song is simply perfect and impossible to do wrong. Kind of like JT. He seems to have the Midas touch, he cant seem to screw anything up. Such a charmed life. Wish I could met him and have a good chat with the guy.

  • justin !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

  • Luanspiceguy:: take it easy before you have a stroke. Not. Al of us need to share your tastes in music. I stand by my feeling that JT is a much better actor than singer

  • @lincolnbest2002 Of course, you can show your opinion... but do you have to say that he is bad at singing just because he's actor? I don't know if you think this way, but i'm taking a shot...

  • WOW....they took it to another level, esp. at the end. Simply beautiful.

  • After listening to numerous renditions of this song I have to say that this is by far the very best version I have EVER heard. Kudos to Justin Timberlake and Matt Morris for this emotionally stirring and beautiful performance.

  • @dianalee80 Kurt Nilsen trumps all versions of this song. By ALOT

  • If there must be pop music, is it too much that they actually have skill and talent like mr. timberlake here? Is it too much to ask that our musicians know how to play instruments or sing? That's all, package up talent in cheap garb and that kernel will still be evident.

  • @alteregoash I know, right?! Timberlake is a pop singer, but I have a HUGE respect for him... I'm actually a fan! He proves that there are good pop singers in this world. This guy is too underrated...

  • @LuanSpiceGuy not a fan but i do respect him

  • @LuanSpiceGuy Exactly, people give me shit for ragging on pop music sometimes, and I try to tell them it's not an arbitrary prejudice. I like pop as much as jazz, alt. rock, classical, opera and blues. The problem is so many pop people get by with no knowledge on how to do anything but acceptable karaoke. I want my musicians to know how to do music. That seems obvious, but play an instrument or something.

  • Wow. That was as good as a dark chocolate pear in a blender.

  • shit if i was bill gate or any asshole that a billionare its all about america for i build factories FOR america again build fridgerator's again and CARs and fucking washing machines sorry other people.

  • the real question in this video is....can we still donate?

  • Good to be singing for a great cause, but stick to acting. Not the voice for this song. Or any song, for that matter.

  • @lincolnbest2002 Oh gosh... You have a NECESSITY to hate on Justin Timberlake, don't you? Can't you just respect him? He is a GREAT singer... Stop hating on him...

  • @lincolnbest2002 You know he was a singer far before he was an actor, right?

  • @dasdrifter12 Oh, I know...took a long time to find a more suitable niche, didn't it?

  • @lincolnbest2002 How is he not the voice for this song? I don't really understand that. His voice fits the style of this song almost perfectly. You don't have to like it by any means, but his voice certainly fits the song better than say the lead singer of some metal band.

  • @rockthecasba16 Why would a metal band cover Hallelujah? Compared to Jeff Buckley, John Cale, one of Leonard Cohen's recent live takes, or KD Lang, I think Timberlake's doesn't hold up to the standard set by those. Particularly KD @ the 2010 Olympics.

  • @lincolnbest2002 Why not? I'm sure it's happened somewhere.

His usual singing is much different from theirs and so this version had its own touch which really you can't compare to theirs. I'd hardly say they've set a standard. The point of a cover is to make it your own.

  • @lincolnbest2002 Let's just say those performers then set the bar for my expectations. There are lots of shitty versions out there, too.

  • Very smooth...

  • you know, if all famous stars and computer nerds gave some of their MILLIONS (and some have billions....bill gates, mark zuckerberg, anyone? ) to Haiti the way that they want us to do then Haiti would have already begun some real work and they'd be starting to sit in houses again and not die off one at a time..I'm not saying that none of these stars do that, but don't say that ALL them do either..or else they wouldn't have MILLIONS, but they'd be poor as church mice til they get their next movie.

  • or next contract, or next tour, or next WHATEVER, everyone knows what I mean......

  • @Bellepepper92 Do you have any idea how much money Gates has given away??? That's probably why he's still alive and Jobs isn't. God can separate the feed from the chaff.

  • @memphetic you sound like a fanatic douche. god has nothing to do with the death of jobs moron. now stfu and enjoy the music you came here for

  • @Bellepepper92 Bill Gates is the guy who does MOST donates... He already made his part. Learn your shit before judging people just because they're rich.

  • @Bellepepper92- Why are you attacking Gates? He gave up his high paying CEO job years ago to do humanitarian work for a living. He gives more money than any other billionaire, and tries to make people aware of things like malaria in Africa. He is a highly respectable man unlike the glorified steve jobs. the problem is some people do give money but the money doesn't actually get to the people because some organizations are a total fraud and most the money goes to their workers like RED for eg.

  • @Bellepepper92 You're obviously not aware of the work Bill Gates does. He's donated almost half of his money to charity.

  • not quite as good as John Cale. Too soft...

  • I get goosebumps.... so soft.... love it! :)

  • Wow he is a triple threat. Sing, dance and act.

  • @supermanvenom2 You forgot piano playing!

  • @AbsolutelyAlise5732 haha true.

  • I like it :3

  • not a fan of jt but this is quite good.

  • You guys get so into yur comments like geezus

  • You ruined the song. YOU. FREAKING. BOBSAGET!

  • I've never been a fan of Justin Timberlake, and I came in to this video kind of expecting the worst, and even with all that - this was such a perfect rendition of this song.

  • GOD BLESS !!!!

  • The sad thing about this is that the Haitian people really never seen any of the aid that this brought.

  • A música e a interpretação são lindas! Espero que as crianças do Haiti recebam muitas doações!

  • Goosebump city...so beautiful

  • 168 people were tied on the Chair.

  • beautifully done ♥

  • Its to slow for my taste, I like the more gospel versions.

  • Wow he is talented. Thing is there is a market for this type of music, but we're fed the GAGA/RIHANNA cr*p down our throats.

Gorgeous, just gorgeous. So deeply moving, Bravo Timberlake!

  • @latka101 Hope you die while sleeping. Scumbag

  • stop donating so much to africa and etc.

  • One of the best versions I've heard. both Timberlake and Morris are fantastic.

  • nsync member wow i didnt know such creatures could sing like this

  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY JUSTIN_ HAPPY 31st

  • @jallisah14 And happy birthday to me! :) Same birthday..

  • amazing performance <3

    In love!

  • I liked Justin Timberlake before, but was never a huge fan. After seeing that performance, I'm hooked! I never realized what a God-given gift he had.

  • Wow first time seeing this as I'm surfing u tube. JT is awesome but wow Matt Morris..now I am completely taken away by his part in this performance! Gotta find out who this guy is. Much respect to both these artists for doing the song with tthe respect that it deserves and luv how they work to make each other better!

  • Big challenge covering Cohen, but JT picked the right song and nailed it. Recently, all to support Cohen's new album "Old Ideas," a ton of artists are participating in this campaign where they do their rendition of their fave Cohen classics. It's so exciting to see Greg Dulli and Cold War Kids sing COHEN. Def. check em out!

  • so boring.

  • The dislike button needs to be moved away from the dislike button so we don't get 162 accidents.

  • this guy smokes weed

  • @SallaarKhan who doesnt

  • more people died in America the month of the Hati disaster than in Hati.

  • Soooo how about that video huh? :)

  • After listening to this I really am amazed by Justin Timberlake. this song really shows his voice range. Not only does he do a banging party song, but he can also bring it down and do such an emotional song aswell. brilliant. props to matt morris aswell

  • Great song though...I could listen to it all day

  • God loves all including animals but do not forget that we r animals ourselves....its a horrible world we live in and only we can change it but not if we don't start now

  • the first time that i hear him singing. great!!

  • i don't like this i LOVE this.i forgot how JT's good

  • beautiful

  • best version of hallelujah...

  • @robdoubletrouble I don't think so ^^!

  • @kohsamon then, which one is it? 'cause i've looked up for other version, and i didn't like them very much

  • this song is made for his voice

  • I came here because I heard Kurt Nilsen take this song and make people realize that their are angels.

JT has great things, from the start. Great version, great acting in Alpha Dog etc...

Big fan of humans who stop move past all negative things from idiots on the couch and Internet and do it.

Did you know Mark and Donnie Whalberg have 7 other brothers and come from a single parent home.

So on this Mickey Mouse Kid who never gave up....................we should all learn something positive.

  • @AMGwtfBBQsauce Good to know some people are sane! :)

  • @imrepeto I hate the media.

  • This is almost 2 years old and people are still coming back here and making all of the political comments because you know deep down that these guys did a good job with their rendition!

You don't have to have a reason other than the music is good. Lay your politics aside.

  • im not a big timberlake fan but two things hes done that ive seen recently ive actually like one was this song ..not bad ive always liked the song ...and second because of that 70s show chick jackie was in it his movie friends with benefits was alright he actually had a couple scenes that were funny not gay and lame like i said probally cause of the chick is why cause shes smoking in this film

  • I don't have too much respect for Justin Timberlake. But this is truly something else. Right on, man.

  • Justin timber lake can hit high notes like a pro

  • While Justin can really sing, he just doesn't have the correct voice to do this song properly.

  • @NaimadNaimadNaimad Thank you! Really I've never been told that before I usually get " Why don't you use your brain?! " But that's usually from my mom..;). ;)

  • one of great covers!

  • beautiful JT...

  • Это шедевр в самом изначальном смысле этого слова.

    Моё потрясение.

    Из России.

  • possibly the worste cover of this song i've ever heard

  • Beautiful.

check out this version of hallelujah with a hungarian singer /watch?v=B3g3GYFTPg4

  • I'm sorry, but how can anyone dislike a video that is meant for helping those in need? Especially those who were involved in a major disaster like they had in Haiti.

  • @EhDogg because people have opinions. good intentions don't rule peoples minds, you fascist.

  • This guy is the total package. He's hilarious in that SNL has to bring in JT just to be funny anymore, he can still sing, and he's a heck of a good actor, too. I don't know that I would qualify what he used to do in N'Sync as dancing, but I bet he would be okay if he actually tried real dancing, too. This guy is everything.

  • @seanypatpatterson and he plays the piano!

  • Thanks to movies, I forgot the real Justin Timberlake.

  • As a fan of Heavy metal,I find it odd to say that Justin Timberlake has my utmost respect.

    But dammit,he does.

  • @redneckdipper1337 one heck of a great statement. i agree 100%

  • @redneckdipper1337 You sould watch this one by Queensryche frontman Geoff Tate (add the youtube link in front) watch?v=UKwPSHbbGIM

  • @ManoDeGatoCR Cool,I'll check it out.

    Thanks for the link.

  • @redneckdipper1337

I am sorry your heart is so cold that you can not appreciate Timberlake's version of this song!!

  • @lizzie243709 What?

I love it,I was just saying that he has my respect.

  • @redneckdipper1337 I know, right? Hated the boy band thing but, dude has some talent and even some depth demonstrated by his acting chops.

  • @redneckdipper1337 agreed!!!

  • @redneckdipper1337 No harm in it, he's a pretty talented dude. And that's coming from a die-hard black metal fan.

  • oh jt just when you were starting to get my respect back then you do this...

you should of never sang this song you just did not do it justice.

  • i lie with mens

  • Kurt Nilsen owns this song.

    World Idol :D

  • so beautiful, tasteful, and understated ;-;

  • -, - i Bad tears in my eyes!

  • this is not a song for timberlake to sing its to beautiful. he doesnt sing with conviction like this song bleeds

  • You shall not wear a garment of divers sorts, as of woolen and linen together.

bet you have broken that sin from the bible so therfore you are in the same boat as a pedophile if your shirt isn't 100% wool

  • It's a big buzz kill to see the top comments only to be about writing essays, and being human. This is a channel of music. Why must you guys spoil it with such grief, and insults? Listen to the music! It's so beautiful, and you guy's are spoiling it. Hallelujah. Do you even know what that means?

  • 2:14 is HILARIOUS if you play it over and over

  • @rijiirizu u ur a idiot I think u r the one who needs to get the facts straight

  • This is originally done by Jeff Buckley, not Leonard Cohen. @Kristen48 you should change the info to give the correct credit to where it's due.

    They sung this beautifully.

  • @RijiiRizu Leonard Cohen wrote the song. Jeff Buckley simply made it even more popular. This song is probably the most covered song EVER and it's also one of the most beautifully written songs.

  • Lamont Alum Jon Powers - drums

  • just what i needed.

  • Is there some type of Hallelujah competition going on these days? lol Even Cohen said he wished people would put the song down for a while. This is a song that requires a real technician and craftsman. K D Lang's version has spoiled me to listening to this song sung by anyone else. The boys do OK, but next to K D it's certainly a fail.

  • from watching movies, i forgot that justin timberlake was a singer

  • I don't mean to sound rude or arrogant and naive, but why does everybody care for Haiti and japan all of a sudden i mean yeah they lost so many lives, but they're not the only ones, I mean thank god for everything i have, but what about all the other countries that have been through natural disasters and wars. What about Palestine, Africa, and many places in Asia, India is filled with poor in need.Children are dying of hunger and killed. I'm not saying don't give Haiti, just give others as well

  • @TheMuggleworld " i dont mean to sound rude or arrogant." Well, you are.

  • @TheMuggleworld because the recent things that occurred N Japan/Haiti were sudden and unexpected So the devastation over took the county in a differently Its the difference b/t a sickly grands dying during the same time and hearing literally half your family was murdered today You are correct multiple countries Africa and Eur-Asia need help too, but the difference is the swift devastation PS u maybe 2 young 2 recall but "we are the world" (wiki it if u r) was done for Africa

  • @MsChanae You're absolutely right, but what about the earthquake in Turkey that happened just last year, up to 1000+ died. But i doubt many heard, i personally heard because I'm an Arab. And Turkey is a somewhat Arab country. I know it's no where close to how many people died in Haiti but still many died. But i agree with completely!

  • @TheMuggleworld it was a fast way to Capitalize fast money for there pockets...new disaster = new tears=new and fast money ....
