  • god is consciousness; we are all god trying to realize our true potential

  • "In a word, CLEANTHES, a man who follows your hypothesis is able perhaps to assert, or conjecture, that the universe, sometime, arose from something like design: but beyond that position he cannot ascertain one single circumstance; and is left afterwards to fix every point of his theology by the utmost license of fancy and hypothesis."

-David Hume, Dialogues Concerning Natural Religions

  • I think one thing we can all agree on is Carl Sagan is the fucking man!

  • O&A are funny, but politics and religion isn't their thing.

  • It's really funny and weird that Opie says Bill O'Reilly has credibility. He's a perverted, idiotic, religious right winger; credibility is the one thing he lacks.

  • I don't believe in a god....the priest fucking my ass begs to differ.

  • my opinion of jimmy has just gone up even more, and only 11 minutes into clip

  • 5:38 MEGA-BURP (belch), hahahaha... and ignored!!! was that in the studio?

  • I wonder how many fur coats just one woolly mammoth could provide?

  • Kind of ashamed to admit that when I first started developing my political views, I was listening to O'Reilly's radio show, mostly because he claimed he was a moderate who pissed off both conservatives and liberals depending on the issue. In hindsight, he's just a populist (because that's where the ratings are). He might be principled on his own, but that's not how his show comes off if you listen long enough. He might believe everything he says, but he honestly seems too smart for that.

  • O&A, of course there is life elsewhere but the chances of it being developed and intelligent like us is very slim. However, the chances of there being viruses or bacteria on other planets is much MUCH higher.

  • @Piriathy ..quote from god in the bible which says nothing of science

I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.

  • @TheJasonDR ...Why do you tell ME this quote? I believe in God for goodness's sake, you're barking up the wrong tree. Besides even though I am a believer SCIENCE TRUMPS RELIGION. every. time.

  • @Piriathy ...their is not a word of Science in the bible ...and God is the ultimate Scientist

  • @TheJasonDR *there

  • @TheJasonDR

"I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To him who is thirsty I will give to drink without cost from the spring of the water of life."

    -Fallout 3

  • ANyone have a link to them playing Anthony's song??

  • Who ate that cookie who drank the milk no Santa clause either huh lol

  • that carl sagan song at the end is fantastic, thx for adding it, he must not be forgotten, dont allow it!

  • I wish Opie and Anthony taught my highschool science class. Id have aced that shit

  • I know O'Reilly is an idiot, and I'm not saying at all that I agree with him, but the question does leadtowards a bigger question. How did ANYTHING get anywhere? Has it always existed? Will it INFINITELY exist? How could existence not exist? How can nonexistence exist? The natural law of the universe is every effect needs a cause, but if existence is the effect, what is the cause? You can't make things out of nothing... so how does it work? That's some godly power this Big Electron has.

  • @stfwho the answer to all of those questions is just inconclusive

  • @stfwho If religion had it's way, and it did for hundreds of years, man will never understand. A hundred years ago we didn't even know atoms existed, once we did it opened up the world to all the modern technology we are communicating with today. Can anyone really know what it is we haven't yet come to understand?

  • @Sorcoral Hate to get all technical but the word "religion" is supposed to mean "way of understanding god", and god used to mean "the supreme being", and as the universe is the supreme being, and science is the way to understand the universe, then one could say science is the religion that's figuring out the inner workings of this strange creation. So really its not that religion held us back, its that we still haven't uncovered the perfect way of understanding this. Its too deep for us.

  • @stfwho Religion told us the universe revolves around the earth. Wow could that not be further from the truth. Please tell me what other wisdom religion has bestowed upon us.

  • @Sorcoral Ugh... I just explained the actual definition of religion to you and waddaya know it flew right over your head. Science at the time did not exist, we saw a long stretch of land and figured it was flat, so they recorded it as flat. Actually, more ancient religions were far more advanced and had mapped out the planets. Just because you're ignorant doesn't mean the things you're ignorant about are totally wrong.

  • @Sorcoral In fact you would not even be here if man had not found some sense of morality in its understanding of the Supreme Being. Had it not been for religion we would have never begun to develop our minds. We'd still be fucking barbarians, like they are in the least developed nations. Whatever you believe in; that's pretty much your religion. If you think physics and mathematics are the way to understand the Supreme Being, then it is by definition your "religion". Silly goose.

  • @Sorcoral Religion is essential to humanity whether anyone likes it or not. Without religion, people would be animals. If humans were completely ignorant of the universe and how things work, well then, we'd be animals. No need to understand anything if you're an animal, right? Just eat, fuck, sleep, and run between that. As humankind evolves, so will its understanding of the Supreme Being. That's the undeniable thing; we're part of a Supreme Being, and need to understand it. Boom. Religion.

  • @stfwho Just as long as you pray to god for all your illnesses to be cured then I have no problem with what you say.

Of course I "believe" in science. It is letting you spout a bunch of babble and allowing the world to see it.

  • @Sorcoral Ugh, I was kind of hoping you'd be a smart person, but eh oh well. I know nothing I say has a chance of penetrating your locked mind, but here goes nothing. Belief in any sort of understanding of the universe = faith in some kind of religion. Religions of the past were oldschool sciences before they had actual science. I don't believe in magic. I only think prayer is a good thing if you're just expressing gratitude for life. I am a Deist, was an atheist for years.

  • @Sorcoral People who think religion is some sort of magic annoy me. Mainstream religion is so warped from its origins, its hard to tell apart the popular version of Jesus' life from Harry Potter's. I'm not saying all religion is good, I'm merely trying to explain to you the definition of the word "religion" because you don't understand what it means. If you don't know what the word "religion" means, don't voice your opinion on it. Better to be silent and thought a fool than speak and confirm it

  • @stfwho. "Religions of the past were oldschool sciences before they had actual science"

Can I introduce you to the debate around evolution? Two extremely long posts and you still haven't said something I haven't already heard. Please think real hard before your next post.

  • @Sorcoral You'd be surprised how many religions have some connection to evolution. Just because you know vaguely about one or two mainstream religions doesn't mean you know anything about religion. I've studied religions from every culture from every historic period. Hell I'm pretty sure the original story of creation in Genesis was loosely linked to evolution. Man came from the ground, which is where all the materials of the body came from. They were innocent animals who gained knowledge.

  • @Sorcoral Evolution states that everything has developed from simpler beings. Humans were once a type of ape that was unintelligent; then over time the ape learned to use tools to hunt and cook and protect itself, pretty soon it broke the earth's natural harmony and created nuclear warheads. The Serpent has always been a symbol of wisdom and intelligence all over the world. The story was metaphorical of how we but evolved into corruption. Of course I subscribe to the theory of evolution.

  • @Sorcoral And just to clarify, I believe in science. I'm not some batty religious nut. I'm just saying whatever a person believes in as far as the Supreme Being goes, that's their religion. Einstein was religious, he was a Deist, like I am. His understanding of the Supreme Being was completely scientific, and he said his religious feelings had a lot to do with his work. So if you're saying religion has given us nothing but myth, then go do some research. Expand your knowledge.

  • JUPITER IS SATAN'S PLANET

  • These guys are just godless liberals. Praise His name.

  • @MotherNikita did you listen to ANY of this?

  • @AroundSun Looks like someone didn't get my reference... (Look up 'O&A Christian Jimmy', son.) I'm sure you are also one of these godless liberals who will be smithed by he who does all things and no things, praise his name.

  • @MotherNikita Nope, I am probably more conservative than you. Along with Anthony from O&A. God DOESN'T EXIST. Get it through your thick fucking scull that there is no invisible man in the sky, and that you were told a fairy tale when you were younger. It is the biggest scam and fraud that has EVER existed!! The church just wants your money and your children. Get over it.

  • @AroundSun Wow, you still can't tell this is a joke. I'm barely conservative, and although I agree that the anthropomorphic God doesn't exist, I'm interested in animism and Spinoza's God. It's a scam, the church, it's all about money and enslavement, we get it. You rebel against the norms, you're so new and innovative, your thoughts pierce the souls of those who fucking oppose it. I'm over it, I was over it when I was a teenager, but you aren't. Keep fighting the good fight, dude.

  • @MotherNikita I thought you were giving me some church jargon and were serious

  • @AroundSun It's fine, it was a simple misunderstanding, and I completely get your anger. I've actually had a message sent to me by some Islamic dickwad a while back telling me about the Koran and all that shit. It's annoying as Hell (laugh track audience laughs).

  • @MotherNikita yea, these people are truly hallucinating

  • Just comment on the clips FELLAS, Enough with the childish banter please. K

  • Let's see: Texas-New York-Alaska, Africa-Europe-Greenland, Desert-Rainforest-North/South Pole, Summer-Spring-Winter, steam-water-ice. All things on the earth, as in sun-mercury-Venus-earth-Mars. IT'S HEAT MOTHERFUCKER.

  • did bill say mars doesn't have any moons? it has two. phobos and deimos. plus there's evidence of water erosion on mars, so it may have even had tides once.

  • Glenn Beck is a Mormon and a murderer.

  • Its lazy for people to call Glenn Beck crazy, because alot (not all) but most of the things Beck brings up he does back up with facts and hes been ahead of the curb when it comes with the recent middle eastern unrest, food&clothing prices going up due to bad corp yield, oil, etcs. About a yr 1/2ago. Beck is very preachy and his program almost feels like a sermon, which is way i think he lost some ratings, me include.

  • Dick goes in, pink sock comes out.

    You can't explain that!

  • 66 likes, nice.

  • hahahah " aaah this guys gunna come out of my television "

  • whats that song at the end??!

  • Nikon Coolpix S700 12.1 MP Digital Camera

  • Evidence for God just sounds funny let alone the fact that it's impossible lol You can't prove something that doesn't exist. (Put the fucking book down) I mean real proof!

  • a nice ending to this vid.

  • the one dislike was bill o'reilly

  • wait a minute..... Anthony doesn't like BillO'Reilly & GlennBeck?

  • There are two main ways to make one refute an intervening religious deity. The first is to read all of the religious books said to be true. The other is to stare at the vastness of space, and understand how much of a wasteland most of the universe is. We come about by chance, but the chance was good when you look at the millions of millions of possibilities.

  • O&A need to get Christopher Hitchens, Sam Harris, or Richard Dawkins on their show. I appreciated their thinking but someone like Christopher would totally reinforce their logic and improve their knowledge.

  • Thanks for uploading holic120. Carl Sagan at the end was perfect.

  • @StandUpAndSmile But who put Carl Sagan there? The moon. I don't see it in the sky. There's your proof.

  • great discussion

  • That song at the end fucking owns.

  • It's hilarious the way he (O'Reilly) asks the STUPIDEST, most irrelevant questions and ends them with that effin' smug inflection on the last syllable, and the subtext is supposed to be "Yeah, man, how awesomely smart am I to ask these questions?". And it's even funnier to imagine his fans going "yeah, he's right, y'know"...Morons.

  • @holic120 Yep that's my fault, had parties mixed up and f-ed up my first posting experience, sn1zzo was defiantly the dude being childish, my b. Damn that stung, I appreciate a good chumping even if i'm the one that gets chumped. Good work by you

  • @Phillies08WS Don't be too hard on yourself

  • 1 dislike... I guess BillO's been on Youtube looking for a cut off Sting's new album (FUCK IT!!)

  • Opie's line at 11:55 is classic. "This is just a bunch of..."

  • lol anthony would end up just like beck if he had a show tho, when he goes on his gun rants he sounds just as insane sometimes

  • WE ARE NOTHINGGGGG!! Reminds me of Zim. Haha

  • The story of the Big Bang is a trillion times cooler story than the bible and there is proof of it actually happening.. We can actually SEE it happening around us! Religions cannot even scratch the surface of the universe's epicness.

  • holic i love the videos, but i agree with sn1zzo even though you guys are argueing like children, he can belive there is no higher power and meaning of his life could be derived from aquireing as much knowledge as he can to make the world and the people in it better, for instance, some people build empires to leave to thier decendants, some cure illness, all just as fulfilling as beliving it was all for some guy with a beard's point system and to have enough to live in the clouds

  • @Phillies08WS You seemed to have horribly misunderstood. According to Sn1zzo I might as well kill myself because since I dont believe in a higher power my life means nothing. I asked him how that it is. I'd like to ask you to elaborate as to how I "argued like a child" but seeing as how you got the parties in this argument confused, I feel as though that would be a wasted endeavor. Make sure you know what you're talking about next time you want to chime in. Thanks, take care.

  • @Phillies08WS Jesus fucking christ you can't spell.

  • I do believe in God. But holy crap. People that are overly religious need to stop shutting the truth out, and actually looking at the facts.

  • the wooly mammoth was a elephant that was chilly. and he was wearing a coat.

  • Ant sounds like Roland at 14:22 when he explains the creation of the universe. Cosmic debris, mass, gravity, action, suspense.

  • What's wrong with believing in a God? People go on about equality and acceptance, but then talk about religious people like they're uneducated hicks. That's such blatant hypocrisy.

I personally believe that God is a concept mankind just can't understand. But even if their is no higher being, what difference does it make? When we're all dead will this Youtube video even matter? Religion gives God a bad name, I personally don't believe God cares if I have sex or say fuck shit piss fuck.

  • Jimmy's reading twilight? oh for fuck's sake.

  • Actually, there are only eight planets. It was because of that discovery of that tenth "planet" that there's now eight.

  • "Fucking magnets, how do they work? And I don't wanna talk to a scientist. Y'all motherfuckers lying, and getting me pissed." - Insane Clown Posse, Miracles

  • @shrookins I Think you missed my point but its ok these issues are always clouded by contemporary attitudes. I have a curiosity about anicent peaples and part of that is knowing exactly what they belived and there mentality. I understand the cross over between polytheism to christianity. God is not a personality if anything its some type of conciseness and you have to factor in the animal kingdom somehow. Non religious morality is a myth just look at the last 50 years of our society.

  • The problem with Beck is people take him seriously.

  • These conversations will one day be a great source of amusement for future generations. Its like having video of people arguing that the world is flat.

  • if any of u cant see what an unfunny dork opie is u must be an albino swearing geek too

  • @wdsftygt fuck you you racist scum die a horrible slow death your pure poison dont say anything cause your negative cunt

  • @enzoblade what are you then you hateful orangu-american ,choke on your popeyes you big lipped bitch.

  • @wdsftygt haha yeh i love my medium sized lips haha and so does your momma as eminem says your mommas on my lips your momma's on my lips. hahaha your family dont like black people but your momma got a blk man suckin on her tits. Here (i reach out my hand put it under your nose) SMELL YOUR MUM !! HAHAHAHAHA.

  • @wdsftygt And am from Britain not America hahaha i bet you dont travel out your country do you cause your a poor impoverished red neck that hates black people cause he can no longer live off nigers free labour get fuckin job you bum you will never enter my wage band or the wage band of my father and you fuckin hate it i pity you lol

  • Glenn Beck "Under the weather?" Sounds like he's back on the sauce.

It is naive to think that there are no other populated planets in the vastness of space. Where you lose me is the whole "Grab some guy in a pickup truck and probe his anus" thing.

  • CLEVAH GEHL

  • i like o&a but their boring atheism sucks,i like how dumb angry white trash suddenly become men of science when discussing God.

  • It's truly amazing how he says "You guys are just desperate" and in the same breath immediately asks "How'd the moon get there?". Odd to see O'Reilly talking like a blithering ass.

But at least his fatuous, adolescent ramblings spark some legitimate theological and existential discussion, as with this clip, so cheers again for the upload.

  • they all have an 8th grade understanding of science and religion lol.

  • I have to say one thing. Twilight was very good, I'm not enjoying New Moon as much :DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

  • It depresses me that even Norton believes in God.

  • @Skelaxin it should depress u , u skinny atheist pibull owning ufc watching nigger worshipping white faggot

  • @Skelaxin Yeah...he said he kinda does "because he wants to" ...like, he enjoys the idea of it. A good amount of believers or "spiritual people (eyuck)" that I've met & know say they "want to believe in something." To me, that means they want to attain something they don't already have or isn't present to them, which I believe says alot. You can't prove/disprove a negative and I don't see why you'd want to believe in one either...that's just me.

  • @holic120 It depresses me that someone would want to believe in nothing, that we're all alone and nothing matters. That seems like a very hollow way to look at life

  • @swigbeast Yeah, believing in nothing is nihilism. I don't know much about it, but if you're addressing me, I am not a nihilist. You seem to assert that people need to believe in a supernatural entity to not be "hollow."

  • @holic120 No, some people just want to think that their life matters. Thats cool that you think you are just here because of some random nonsense. But I'm happier thinking that I'm here to experience family and love. I couldn't imagine living a life of nonsense. Why not just kill yourself since you dont matter? Free up some space on the express way for people like me who actually care about our lives.

  • @sn1zzo Your life matters more than mine than how? I'm not alone, and live here with billions of other people. I have a family and also experience love. You don't know anything about me or my morality, but have proved to be a reactionary dickhead. You are the reason why people don't like religious people. Pseudo-Elitism.

  • @holic120 I didn't say my life matters more than yours. You're just an idiot who can't read. All life is equal. Its up to you to choose to enjoy it or not. You have no reason to live. Thats fine. But you also will never experience love. Its funny that you THINK you can experience love. But what is love without meaning? What is life without meaning? It's nothing. Just like they said in this video and YOU AGREE With them. You dont mean Shit. You're a Nobody.

  • @sn1zzo Have you ever seen cape fear? I think you're that guy. Ladies and gentleman, these are the ramblings of a mentally ill person. Take note of them.

  • @holic120 Hey, look jackass. Either you CARE and think your life has meaning. Or you DONT. It's really that simple. You agree with O&A and about 99% of the people here that your life doesn't mean shit. :) So ok. You're a nobody. There is no God so you have no soul. That makes you as worthless as a stain. That is YOUR Point of view and thats fine. Now go on living your pointless life. But dont say there is No higher power & then say you have a Reason to live. You cant have Both you retard.

  • @sn1zzo It's funny how you don't know me and yet keep telling me what my point of view is. My assessment of you stands. You are mentally ill, and illustrating it.

  • @holic120 I DO know what your point is you Fucking Moron. You dont believe in a higher power. RIGHT? Either you DO or you DONT you FuckFace. You cant believe in BOTH. Damn you're a dumb ass.

  • @sn1zzo That's nice sweetie, sit there and stew now.

  • @sn1zzo there are indeed a number of reason to live if your suffering is relatively non-existent. but, i guess even then, if you were some dummy starving and getting your hands chopped off in Darfur, you would have no idea people on the other side of the world are jerking off to internet porn in an air conditioned apartment. and it's your shitty beliefs that won't even let people like Dr. Kavorkian kill people who want to die. just get the fuck out of the way, would you?

  • @nickypeeps WTF does this mean?

  • @sn1zzo why kill yourself when there's so much alcohol and pornography to be discovered? the sole consequence of believing life is meaningless is that you're fully aware of the reality that the only punishment you'll get in life is from the members of the society you choose to live in. deciding your life has meaning has literally no bearing on whether it truly does or does not in the end, stupid. it just gives you comfort. if you think you're going to go to Heaven, go join the army

  • @nickypeeps Ok, so I have a loving family & I choose to believe there's a reason I'm here; and that makes me "Stupid." Meanwhile you enjoy drinking & masturbation & that makes you not stupid? This is the point u are trying to make? P.s. I didn't say anything about their being a heaven so please dont put words in my mouth to help illustrate whatever ridiculous point u think u have.

  • @sn1zzo everything you said is responding to a misconstrued or completely taken out of context version of what I said except for the thing where I assumed you think you're going to Heaven, so i really don't feel like remotely beginning to this exchange, which was fucking horrifically boring before it started anyway. and that's besides how curious i am about why you keep bringing up your fucking family, as if atheists are sterile

  • @sn1zzo even stupid Bill O'Reilly has said a few times that, since atheists can't prove there is no God, a mind boggling sentiment to begin with, he's "throwing his chips in" with Jesus. as if Jesus appreciates the fact that he's treating his eternal salvation like a fucking flop in Texas Hold 'em

  • @nickypeeps Bill O'Reilly is a racist moron. Nothing he said has ANYTHING to do with anything I said. I believe in a higher power. I ALSO know how the moon got here & it wasn't God. So stop trying to change my argument to make yourself feel better.

  • @Skelaxin What's even more depressing is that he believes that a plane hit The Pentagon.

  • @Skelaxin Well, he is a recovering alcoholic. Those guys tend to go for that higher power stuff.

  • 20:53 Who ate that cookie? HA HA HA HA HA HA

  • After growing up as a baptist christian I gotta say it's always good to see religion on the ropes.

  • How many out there believe that I exist?

  • Welcome back, Holic. Great upoad.

  • Religion is like retards

    Its fucking retarded

  • Comment removed

  • The Moon is unique in the galaxy as we know it, doesn't spin like all the other moons in our solar system. Also the wind blows in a hexagon on top of saturn. Theres a structure of some sort on Phobos a martian Moon. After alot of deep thought on the God concept i find the problem is peaple on bothsides think God is some type of personality. Its some how bigger than that. All religion is valid but as we evolve so does are sense of it. We our sentient, individual and unique there is a reason.

  • @nero7926

I like this but is all religion really valid? Cant we just admit that we cant explain the beginning of existence and that's where God has always been? In the GAPS of understanding? So I'm fine with the idea that there could be a being at the beginning but I just want people to admit that this "god" wouldn't care in the slightest about what religion someone is. Religion isn't valid because its unnecessary and usually at our detriment. However, non religious morality is very valid.

  • @shrookins non religous morality sorry non christian protestant morality doesnt exist u wishy washy communst cliche

  • @wdsftygt you clearly have no comprehension of what communism is or how to spell. I'm actually quite libertarian and want people to be different. "non christian protestant morality doesnt exist" is the most childish thing i have ever read. please work on growing up.

  • This is, for the most part, why I became an Atheist...

  • "Pin heads"? That's his counter argument? To just call people who disagree with him a pinhead? That's like how a three year old argues.

  • why is it that ppl on the right love a guy that hosted "A Current Affair" & ppl on the left love a guy that did a guest spot on Married With Children?

  • you cant prove that something doesn't exist, therefore, the burden of proof is not of the person who doesn't believe in something. you idiot. people really needs to be more aware of Logical Fallacies that are EVERYWHERE. religion is divergent, ugly and evil.

it stinks and i don't like it.

  • Life is purposeless, and that's the "Good News". Laugh or die, that's what I say..

  • Bill O Reily is one dumb cunt.

  • explain AIDS bill.

The best proof of evolution on the fucking planet or a curse from god?

    either way god sucks.

  • every religious nut, every closeminded boob, every knowitall asshole needs to watch from 30:42 on..thx for the upload holic great work!

  • Religion goes in, murmurings of the retarded come out. There, I explained it.

  • @yermomsboxx Probably one of the best quotes I have ever heard lol
