  • honey badger dont give a fuck

  • Too small, lame

  • "It's a tornado"

    "Oh noooo"

    "I knowwwwww"

Thanks for the video of a rain dropped lens.

  • So, did she ever find nosy?

  • :'''[ so this is what it looked like........i now just finally built up the nerve to look up videos of this tornado.....i lived in joplin.....i like within spitting distance of the walmart.......this video is bringing me to tears ..... everything all my memories...there all gone...my nepew was born in the hospital that got dimolished.....i still cant belive this...... and no not everyone was alright.....over 100 people died.....i dont find that as everyone was ok.....

  • @lickidysplit3153 I am so sorry, hun *huge hugs* I'm glad you survived.

  • @SilvaryHealar ty and so am i.....

  • Sounds like that reporter was close to hysterics, and given the situation I wouldn't blame her.

  • Disliked only because this must of been horrific to have gone through. I'm so glad everyone is ok.

  • 0:12 BSoD!!!!

  • what a sweetie!

  • That footage on the t.v. looks like the apocalypse and I'm not trying to be funny. That is horrifically frightening!!!! Good God, I don't know how you people continue to live there. I live in Connecticut and that footage alone is enough to scare me away from living in that tornado alley or tornado belt. God bless you!

  • Why are your animals running? Because they're smart. They are hiding....get the fuck off your lazy tv watching ass and do the same.

  • are tornado's common in Missouri? i know EF5's arent common, im in Connecticut and we do get Tornado's we had one last year then a waterspout over Long island sound

  • @bigkev2084 yes there are. wish they werent. my family has been in Joplin for 50 years. everyone lost everything, except me. now they all want me to take them somewhere else to live!

  • @bigkev2084 Tornadoes are fairly common in Missouri, The western portion of Missouri is in the "Tornado Belt" which is where the most powerful tornadoes in the world occur. I live in St. Louis and we had a tornado do significant damage to our airport last May. {There are videos on Youtube}. It has to do with the dramatic differences in temperature and wind speed coming from the gulf and from the west over the Rockies, When they hit just right there are some terrible tornadoes.

  • @bigkev2084 Somewhat.

  • "...oh my god, oh my goodness.....oh my god....EMMA, get over here, oh my god...

  • Hey Get to YOUR CELLAR, STOP FILMING

  • Jeepersss!

  • Do you live in Joplin?

  • "If you go outside you may not be able to see it."

---DO NOT FUCKING GO OUTSIDE, this woman is an idiot haha.

  • 1:12-1:14 scorpion get ova here!

  • "EMMA GET IN EEERE"!!!!! tornado rage hahahaha!

  • Are they running around saying NOSIE

  • FIND THE CAT! FOR SHIT'S SAKE!!!

  • "Gay Man Watches Tornado on TV" should be the proper title.

  • @Sunburn2007 rofl. hahhaha

  • @Sunburn2007 .... living with his grandma and her cat, listening to news of the tornado on television, as described a gay weather reporter.

  • Could the guy filming this sound any more gay?

  • @gohuge Thats mean. He may not even be gay you shouldn't judge someone because of the way they talk of sound.

  • @gohuge Everybody has different voices and I don't think he sounded very weird anyway. Don't be a douche.

  • Either take the blasted video or put it down and go look for the cat.

  • Omg Omg Omg Omg Omg Omg there is a tornado on my tv Omg. Don't get a hartattack lol

  • "You stupid cat"

  • i have never seen such huge tornado in my life. that tornado is problay way much worse then may 3 1999 tornado

  • @jingman3 more deadly, but not as intense, the winds in the may 3d 1999 tornado were around 300-318mph, the winds w the joplin tornado were around 240-270mph, the joplin tornado killed more people though

  • @omtomt8787 We may never know the full comparison - the 5/3/99 OKC tornado was near the University of Oklahoma and they had their mobile doppler unit for near-precision measurements on the scene. That tornado scarred some open ground (ripping away topsoil). The Joplin tornado apparently actually buckled some concrete driveways and may have been extremely close in strength.

  • do u live near joplin

  • fuck the cat

  • 1990 I was doing some business (or trying to) in Platte City, MO. On our 3rd visit to the storm cellar that day I asked the guy next to me how they can stand living like this. He looks at me kinda funny and says... "Yesterday you were telling us about the damage to your house from that earthquake last year, hell at least you'd stand a chance running from a tornado." I couldn't argue that one.

  • when u start seeing everything in green take cover!!

  • i watched this storm live on air in astonishment knowing that my home town was being destroyed. i never knew such a thing would happen to Joplin that day! i watched this on t.v scared out of my mind not knowing if it would hurt my family. I was in Carthage not even 20 min away with my dad as we stood and watched. i was praying that it it wasn't that big but then the next day i really found out. i thought that when i come back to school there is gonna be alot of my friends gone.

  • @d2hickmott

    Amen from Dallas.

  • Here in Texas when the tv goes out we know it's time to hide.

  • Did you find her cat?

  • That's freaking crazy, this reminds me of the may 3, 1999 tornado that slammed Oklahoma City. My grandmother and her family was in that, and the footage was INSANE!

  • fuck the cat. get outta there!!

  • i live in joplin.

  • i live in joplin

  • Don't rely on satellite TV for information during a storm lol

  • @PsychoticButcher it was Digital TV... DTV SUCK analog tv was way better.

  • @PsychoticButcher That was over the air through an antenna. Looks like the storm knocked the transmitters out.

  • @PsychoticButcher It's digital broadcast TV, not satellite. The channel on the TV had "-DT" appended to the end. More than likely the signal was cutting out due to the horrible conditions occurring outside, or the transmitter was getting power cut to it.

  • @PsychoticButcher after the Cincinnati Ar ef3 that went through on new years eve, less than a mile from us we got a weather radio. the local weather said ther was a "slight"risk for severe weather, and like most almost slept through it. four died.

  • @PsychoticButcher That's not Satellite. That's the Antenna TV. Digital TV.

  • Oh my god....you need get laid and do us all a favor...

  • dorthy better grab todo.

  • love this queen

  • omggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg

  • @Onehitter5 Sir, are you a bigot?

    GUILLLLLLLLTYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

  • I was heading to Vandalia, MO from Texas to go watch my cousin graduate. We stop 10miles outside of Joplin near Miami, OK because I had instantly got car sick. The sky was that black/green color people talk about where we stopped. After being hit by heavy rain & hail we started driving only to be stopped 5miles outside of Joplin. So we turned around & got a hotel room in Miami, OK & turned on the t.v. and saw what happened. If we hadn't of stopped we most likely wouldn't be here.

  • @espy1808 and that right there is the work of God :)

  • @47lizzybg Sending the tornado?

Also loved that "they have video of the camera."

  • @nottubee nooo never mind i think i commented on the wrong video but no

  • @espy1808 Didn't I hear you say this somewhere else on another video?

  • @espy1808 glad u stopped! ALWAYS, go with your gut feeling! saved your life that day.

  • @espy1808 thank u for getting car sick!!! on a serious note, glad u all r ok.

  • good video I hadnt seen this view before thanks

  • Ha, go through something like that and tell me you don't say "oh my God" all of you people have no idea what your saying, I can only imagine that "oh my god" would be thr least inappropriate thing that any of us would say! Good video, eat shit Jessie.

  • @vegasprince702 @bornagainjessie is just stating his opinion so quit being an ass.

  • This was five months ago and I'm sitting here in my chair yelling, "Why are you freaking SITTING there? GET IN THE BASEMENT!!!!" LOL!

  • omg that was crazy!

  • Haha, Vegasprince, I wouldve been doing the same thing. (the whole OH MY GOD thing)

My mind was blown once I heard about this tornado..

  • Oh my god

  • Just briefly looking over some of the comments on here is unreal.

  • Hey was the news station actually hit? om sure there would have been security cameras all around the area which would have caught some spectacular footage if recoverable. Good video!

  • Vegasprince,

I was also involved in a tornado here in Ohio in April 2002. No where near as strong as the one that hit Joplin. Our tornado came down my street. I just made it in the house with my youngest daughter from a softball game being cancelled. Had I been two minutes later, the debris which took out my garage doors would have hit my daughter and I. I still get nervous about thunderstorms nearly 10 years later. Don't let the Religious NUTBAGS bother you.. I'm with you my friend..

  • Lol. I was in Bella Vista, Ar. That's not to far away from that!

And yes, that day was horrifying even in arkansas, we had 3 funnels.

  • thank you for posting this... obviously it was traumatic for you .... I hope everything is ok. I know it's hard to ignore the mindless, ignorant comments from some of these mindless, ignorant people on here.......

  • @Onehitter5 grow the fuck up u s.o.b.!

  • EMMA GET OVER HERE!

  • @blansetalex LOL

i was just about to comment saying that -.-

  • Dang. I hope you had on your brown pants when the camera panned and showed how big that thing was. Glad you are okay and were 10 minutes away from it.

  • Lol final comment "we need to find your cat" did you find it? That had to be a fucked up thing to endure. I've been around 1's and 2's. Never a 5. That thing was wicked. No wonder, in the movie, they referred to it as "God's Finger". Fuckin thing's like a mile and half wide spinning at around 300 mph. RWJ reference: GEEZUS!

  • seriously!?!?!?! all these negative comments?!!?!? one of the strongest tornadoes ever recorded pretty much leveled Joplin, and yall are focusing on this guy's sexual preference and religious views?? vegasprince702, did your house get hit??

  • I think it's immature and ignorant of people coming on here and saying stupid shit like "are you gay?" and "you're a fag"...who cares if the man is gay or not, you wanna call someone a faggot than be my fucking guest and call me a fag, because the ones on here screaming fag this and fag that are usually the big closeted faggots!!! Grow Up! And get some damn balls and come out of the closet already, it's not that fucking hard!!!

  • Sigh, our city in sw ks had many reletives in Joplin (not mine) we were truly aching with y'all. So sorry....

  • id have been terrified? did it do any damage to your house?

  • @mrlair u sound like a cunt

  • @mrlair

    YOU LOOK LIKE A CUNT

  • @mrlair you wish

  • dont mind that troll bornagain

i woulda shitted bricks LIVE on camera if i were u

  • Great video! Must have been exhilarating!

  • I would have been saying the same thing. "Oh my God" seems to be very common and relative in a situation like this. Glad you were unharmed. That's what matters. Sorry that you had to experience such a traumatic event. Hope you are doing okay, emotionally, after this.

  • Hmmm where can i see the original footage being aired on the tv?

  • Where in how far close to Joplin and did u find the cat?

  • I was within a quarter mile of an F3 tornado that hit South Pekin IL the night before Mother's Day in 2003 and I can tell you that I would be saying a lot more than "Oh My God". Hearing the tornado pass and sitting in a cooler lit by candles with my coworkers, I can definitely say that my vocabulary was quite colorful and terrified. There is nothing more frightening than hearing the whipping of a tornado go by, and seeing an F5 on TV would have been a nightmare. So glad you're okay!

  • gaaaaaaaaayyy

  • Wow! I remember that line of storms that was in your town came to MY town afterwards during the night. I think it was Jim Cantorre who was fliming by the hospital when we too, had weather threats. I don't blame your for saying "Oh my god!" constantly! That tornado looks nasty!

  • Thanks for putting this up, I shut the tv off when I heard the sirens and turned on the radio but I was wondering what was on the news

  • @bornagainjessie someone's a sadistic asshole.

  • apprently bornagainjesie is retarded and has never been in a life or death situation,, i survivied this stupid tornado, and thought for sure i was dead, thankfully i didn't stay in the closet i started out in or i would be dead,, on another blog or whatever someone was mad cause their friend was at bestbuy during the tornado and was from pittsburg, ks and was mad cause joplin is popular now and not pittsburg,, how stupid is that

  • Comment removed

  • dude u need to chillax.......

  • Why does the crawl at the bottom of the screen keep going on and on about quarter size hail when a huge ass EF5 tornado is kicking Joplins ass?!

  • @vegasprince702 It's okay to yell at your dog and family members too when a tornado is coming. Doesn't hurt to give a shout out to God as in "Oh My God" a massive tornado is ripping through.

  • @vegasprince702 for real, of course people would say lots of things my god I mean that tornado was an F5... thank goodness you guys are okay

  • @bornagainjessie your radical views on religion amuse me

  • @xchlppprsx radical view on religion? read the bible... it's stated in the book lol.

  • Jason is that you talking on this tape

  • FUCK THE CAT! GET THE HELL OUTTA THERE!

  • @bornagainjessie | eat shit jessie... eat shit...

  • Damn scary man....hope Joplin recovers fast.

  • @vegasprince702

    i lost 4 people =_ (

  • @vegasprince702

Agree with you 100% GOOD GOING!!!!!!!!!!

  • @vegasprince702 Don't let all of those assholes bother you. Hope your family is all fine.

  • @bornagainjessie your a fucking dick look at the people who died and probably all the people were reacting like that and you don't see those kind of large and destructive tornadoes like that you little fucking asshole

  • @bornagainjessie your such a douche dick

  • @bornagainjessie pussy

  • @bornagainjessie WTF Is wrong with you? PEOPLE DIED FROM THIS.......... I hope your happy, Cuz your going to hell, HAve Fun down there

  • @bornagainjessie Oh my god... That cult of yours is brainwashing you.

  • I know your scared BUT DONT TAKE GOD'S NAME IN VAIN OVER AND OVER, YOU DISREPECTFUL SINNER! IM TIRED OF TORNADO VIDEOS HAVING PEOPLE FOOLISHLY TAKING GOD'S NAME OVER AND OVER AND OVER! UNLESS YOUR PRAYING DONT BOTHER SAYING ''OMG'' AGAIN!!!!!!

  • @bornagainjessie | give it a rest you FUCKING MORON!!!!!! WE ARE NOT LIKE YOU AND WE DON'T CARE!!!!!!!!! JESUS FUCKING CHRIST WILL YOU SHUT THE GOD DAMN HELL UP!!!!!!!!!

  • @bornagainjessie JUDGE NOT LEST YE BE JUDGED!!!! And saying OH MY GOD is NOT taking God's name in vain!! Get a life and learn your Bible!!!!

  • @bornagainjessie And Jesus Said "Love you neighbor as yourself". You must hate yourself. GOD is love, not angry hateful comments in time of disaster. Stop using religion as your platform to bash others to make yourself feel better. You should be ashamed of yourself. These people need prayer, support, and understanding. NOT spreading your anger and hate. Maybe it's best, you just don't get online anymore!

  • @bornagainjessie With all due respect but "god" is not a name is a tittle.

  • @NAOCIA007 Correction buddy God is a name, the name of the one who created all. and its more than a title a title is bestowed upon someone God has always been God so therefore it cant be a title

  • @bornagainjessie your right you shouldn't take God's name in vain its a sin!

  • @bornagainjessie

The verse is a verse against talking about your god in a negative way, not really OMG.

  • @bornagainjessie Hey, I'm a born again christian, too. Sometimes the phrase "Oh my god" slips. This man was on a 50/50 chance of getting killed. Yes. It is taking god's name in vain, But it's okay if it's an accident. We all make accidents. That's a part of life. But only if you confess them to God. I've said many bad words in my 14 years. And I always confess my sins, and God will always understand.

  • @TheColorPaul - God is HIS Title, not his name. I'm most certain God is more concerned of why the man filming a tornado on the tv, isn't in the basement, besides using his title by automated excitement. Let's allow God to look at the heart and see if such a statement is sacrilegious or not. It seems that you're more interested in getting your point across for Brownie Points in Heaven, then concern for that man's soul. When you offer people advice, you appear as condescending and self-righteous.

  • I think what happened was that the power supply to the stations transmitter was cut temporarily, within seconds, an emergency backup power supply (presumably a generator/battery bank) kicked in. The electromagnetic pulse from the lightning along with wind and debris from the tornado itself may have played a role in damaging or destroying some power transformers.

  • @MIKON8ERISBACK Thank you captin obvious!

  • @arohn2007 Im very late to reply, but I will admit that what I said was probably the first things that came into mind.
