Depends on the pad you layer and what piano you use. But there's enough space for layering with the pc3 with its 128 notes of polyphony.

I wanted to ask, do you play with dedicated keyboard speakers or do you always have it plugged into your computer? The reason I'm asking is that I'm about to purchase this keyboard but I don't want to buy any speakers yet. I assume it can just as well be played directly into the linein on the computer?

You can do so, but if you don't have an interface or soundcard the latency will be too high. And it's absolutely no fun to play with high latency.

I use the speakers of my hi-fi equipment but want to buy some decent monitors in the future.

Redording and playing are two different things! I still use headphones while recording to hear what I am actually playing and not what's getting into my pc.

But obviously what we are hearing on youtube is the recorded audio. And there's no latency there.

Yes, you're right. Don't even know why it works this way. Maybe it's processed afterwards in order to get it synced with the video (my webcam also has a latency btw).

Yes, I took the Standard Grand and imported the two Hybrid Pan layers and the Koreana layer from Program 134 WestCoastPno&Pad.

beautiful. Do you use any audio interface to transfer the songs you make? Any software? I have the PC3x and I recently got some interest to integrate it a little bit more with my computer...but it can get tricky sometimes :/

So far I'm not using a "real" audio interface... Just pluggin' the Kurzweil MainOuts into the FrontLineIn of my computer in order to record the songs.

The PC3x keybed is not the best I've ever played, but all in all it's more than just ok. A little too tight for my taste and I'd like to have more dynamics. But hey, that's the was the cookie crumbles ;)
