i love rage against the machine - one of my favs - and as much as it pains me to admit this i have to agree with simon on this one. i mean, it's not like it's gonna make a difference in his life or his pocket have the 101th number one on the charts... for those kids however it is!

i havent watched the whole season of x-factor, just the last three weeks and i think, at least the last ones to stand, are such nice people that it's not even worth it.

They (the X factor et al) have created the perfect soundtrack for this awful decade - cheap, tacky, lacking in worth, buy now pay later, superficial, trite and entirely devoid of soul or real passion. A perfect reflection of the times we live in.

I think that it isn't about the whole X Factor, it's about Joe. He is a young guy who doesn't deserve such a hateful campaign. I personally love the song and love him and hope the climb gets the Christmas number 1.

People don't buy the single because it's an x-factor single. People buy the single because they like the songer/song. The idea of Christmas no.1 hasn't changed, filermadg, if you don't like the song, don't buy it! I do like the song, so I'll buy it! What's the difference between that way of thinking and a way of thinking before. Best song gets Christmas no.1 - usually x factor now becuase nobody releases one anymore out of fear of competition
