i have a windows vista and i have safari but when i try to download adobe flash it says close safari to download adobe flash so i exit out of it and it still said that what do i do help

i uploaded it today and I work with safari 4 now,and it is just amazing.

top sites 3d history search,even on subject,flash player is also the best and it is sooooo fast!

and it looks amazing,very clean much better than firefox no question.

I can`t believe that people still use ie,or try to cusomise there firefox untill it looks like a joke with all these add ons

I've tryed Firefox. Which is Ok until i happned to come across Safari so i thought i'd download it & it works fine although i had some Issues in using Hotmail. It didnt Work so i had to download Firefox 3 to use it for email and such. But i would strongly agree in using it as your Default Browser. But if anyone has any other sugestions thn msg me.

I would use Safari on Windows IF:

it used cleartype font rendering

blended with the OS better (looks more like Firefox)

used the OS theme

just works better with the OS! Safari sticks out like a soar thumb, in a bad way,

if it supported add-ons like firefox

but on Mac OS X I'm forced to use Safari or Firefox... Firefox is ugly on Mac OS X but Safari looks great.

i almost exited out of a upload but safari saved me unlike firefox. and safari works better with vista. my firefox always shut down on me every time i was in the middle of something. when its a permanant browser redownload . because then it will have no bugs and it will be fully developed

I am an apple fan so I don't want you all to start yelling at me but in my opinion on windows firefox is much better than safari, but on a mac, FF for mac SUCKS. Its slow any has a terrible interface, and yes, if you are on a mac i recommend safari. It's definitely the best mac browser out. I'd guess I'd pick Camino as the second best mac browser, the interface is better than the mac firefox...

safari is better than opera, but firefox is the best overall, its fast and loads some pages much faster than safari, i've used ie, firefox, safari and opera, firefox is my favorite. if you like the way safari looks (which i do) there is a skin for firefox which makes it look exactly like safari

Because it's still in beta and bugs aside it didn't impress me. No alt/tab, no option to left-click external links in new tab (opens new window), no dropdown in adress bar and in auto-complete you have to doble-click the link to open, no "go to" button. Altough i think the cleartype effect makes pages look "nicer" it also makes it harder to read and you can't turn it off. You can only resize it from the bottom-right corner? WTF! Still a long way to go.

After watching this video I downloaded it..And I'm using it right now...I love the way everything looks, but it's slow at opening pages, on windows anyways. Also, it can't even load a few webpages. I definatly like firefox better, but I love the way safari looks :(

As for the GUI the menus are placed differntly then in iTunes and seams to take up extra space for that reason, there are also othere hits that seams to show that this isn't the same code as used for iTunes.

The right click menus are all non windows and over all it seams to be a very brutal port alot of there custome UI seams to cause some artifacts (i use XP) especialy when running over VNC (remote desktop).

Theres alot of bugs that should have been squashed in Alpha state still present and alot of security flaws has been discovered (some solved in 3.01 and some was and are pressent in safari 2.0x for Mac).

As for rending issues it seams that on non english OSs bold and italic text is missing from most pages, making it very usless as a browser and even for testing.

Also if your OS isn't english about half (all bookmark functionality, printing and more) of all bottons menus and functions will crash Safari this can be partialy solved by copying the endlish file folders in Safari and renaming them to your lang.

All plugins seams to work with the NN model so every thing that works with FF praticaly works with Safari (im talking about Flash, Reader, Java etc. I personaly do not use tools bares or and othere of that kind of plugins except for spellchecking for FF and IE (Safari will come with this by default) and inline search for IE (Safari has this) so if that was the case in point then i guess i like minimal.

I just downloaded it now, and my god is it faster than Firefox. Not at launch, but that's because I use Firefox Preloader so it's always in memory. Page rendering is so much faster and I love the look.

I actually like it there is some kinks that do need to be worked out one of the things that i dont like is in the tabbed browsing the x to close the tab is on the left ( like a mac ) i would like to see it move and i think it looks pritty bland i would like to see more colour. Also on the browser note has anyone herd any new remours about a google browser? if you have let me know what u think about google entering the browser wars.
