Pankaj Mallick was the greatest multi-talanted genius of Indian music. Everytime I hear his immortal songs, I'm back to my childhood and young adult age in the 40's and 50's. I'm 78 now & live abroad (since 1956). Sometime in early 50's I met him back-stage at a musical show in Calcutta, held to raise money for starting a Student Medical Centre. He & Pandit Ravi Shankar were chatting ever so amicably about some musical thing. Thank you Mr.Mirza, hoping you 'll add more.

thanks for uploading these rare songs which are not available in any of the music stores.I gave request to number of them but to no avail. i am so happy to discover the you tube to listen to my childhood favs and remember my lovely mom who loved these evergreen songs. Cheers to the great person.
"Tere Mandir Ka Hoon Deepak Jal Raha" aah! What a poignant song & a sound Soothing to the SOUL "still" enriching my life, as it did Decades back without my even understanding the depth of the Lyrics then, when I heard this being played by my sweet Pa singing along quite often on a record in the then sleepy town of Dehradun!:) "Aayee Bahaar" was another magical one by THE Pankaj Mullick! Lifelong MUSICAL impressions made by these GEMS! :)
So Rightfully called VINTAGE GEMS! Due Regards.12thNov.10
I grew up listening to these songs on All India Radio (I am not sure if there was Vividh Bharti/Radio Ceylon in those days). My father would also hum these songs. My friends used to make fun of me in college days because I liked these songs. I still love these. Many of these are older than I am.
i feel that i am flying in the sky after hearing these songs...thanks...but y didnt u give full songs...for time limitation? plzzzzzzzzz post them individually

Next to KLS from the pre-1950 era , PM and Jagmohan remain my most beloved singers. Listening to this medley of PM songs, I feel like quoting the Kaifi Azmi line in Lala Rukh: " pyaas kuchh aur bhi bhadka di jhalak dikh la ke." Is it possible to post each individual song in full?( I do have another very ,very sweet song of PM with me: Yeh Raatein, Yeh Mausam.). Thanks, Mirzaji.
My salute to this great alumnus of Scottish Church College, Calcutta.
Other musical greats who studied at this college (apart from Pankaj Mullick) include Manna Dey, Suchitra Mitra, and the Bollywood star Mithun Chakraborty.
Immortals include Swami Vivekananda, Paramahansa Yogananda, Srila Prabhupada and Netaji Subhas Bose.
