  • Wow, I just learned that I'm wrong. Sorry about that, man, I was taught wrong.

  • @Akoolstick you're wrong. Though they're both the same chord, you would only refer to it as B flat if the previous chord was above it (like if the previous chord he said was a C). If the previous chord referred to was lower (like Am - hich is what he said) you would call it A sharp.

  • I didn't have a tin can lid but I found an old coiled-up guitar string works well

  • One person didn't listen to what their mama always told them

  • de que marca era la lata de sardina?

  • @nosedeuno essa ai é tipica! hahahahaha

  • amazing !!!

  • you are awsome!

  • I think you meant a B flat chord rather than A sharp. But THANK YOU for this tutorial. I've always loved the percussive sound of acoustic guitar drumming. :)

  • ingenioso... muy buena idea. very cool, thanks for posting this.

  • Dude, this is insane, and i'm definately gonna try it, but I got one question, How many times have you sliced your fingers open on an open tin lid smacking and sliding your fingers all around it like that hahaha

  • Thanks for the info, Guitaro...best of luck.

  • Bb major nott a #!!!!!

  • @mannyarcadio haha thats what i said, i was about to elaborate and say that in the key of G minor A# is a modulatory V chord to resolve on I in the key of D# but i decided against it

  • Wow man impressive! I've watched 3 of your vids so far, they all made me slap my own face and go "Omg seriously bro?"

  • pfffff blew my mind :D

ive watched raul midon, petteri sariola do the percussive guitar thing.. and now this :D even better

question, what do you use to set the strings into the bridge? i see your bridge saddle but i have 6 pens sticking out to notch the strings into the bridge... and with your guitar i don't see them sticking out... is it just a different design for a bridge or some trick you are using?

    grz from amsterdam

  • @tapilaha That's just the way Ovation makes their saddles--no pins to hold strings down, just horizontal holes. It has no bearing on the technique except that on the Ovation it will be slightly more comfortable when you hit the saddle compare to hitting the saddle with pins. But don't be a punk. LOL You'll grow the callouses on your thumb much stronger on your guitar.

  • @guitaro5000 ahahah true.. well, i like to hit the piezosaddle with the mouse of my hand.. but when i hit em hard it starts to hurt after a while because of the pins... but yeah at least i'll have giant callouses ;) hehehehe rock on brotha

  • you have a rusty clip and a cut bottom lid of a can and still would look awesome

  • Awesome man

  • thanks for the great tutorial, definitely gonna try this style out.

  • Wow that sound is so good, you're a great player
