Stupid fancy dress! That's what it is.

The man inside is looking through the two-way mirror on the suit's chest. That's why the suit is equipped with the bright lights in its "armpits" - without them you would distinguish the man's outline behind the mirror. You can also see the black ribbed tubes sticking out of the suit right under the lights. These tubes are for the man's hands. The awkward walk of the "robot" clearly indicates it's a man, not a robot.

If I remember correctly, The robot is a hybrid. There is a guy who wears the "suit". But that suit is a robot! Not the kind most think of but a 'bot just the same. It has: inductive joint sensors, linear actuators, motors, video vision, prox. sensors, speakers, transceivers, a power supply, etc. The systems that support their own weight on 2 feet aren't ready for crowds! The man supports the thing and walks, (and sticks his butt out to "fart") that's all. The rest is robotics baby!

badass mecha but it's only a suit :( you cna tell by the legs. all the humanoid robots i seen form asimo to qiro have hinged hip joints rather then the pivot we see in the movies. this guy has a pivot. and the armor on he thighs are too close cut for any real movement if it was on a real droid. only a human can walk in such close cut armor also if when he walks back you can see the black tights the guy wears . if it was a real droid there'd be more gaps because of the parts.

It's a costume guys. You can see where the wearer's arms come out to join the suit's elbows and the window in the suit's chest is where he's looking out. The only thing that's preprogrammed is the lip-syncing jaw. And yeah, the servo sounds were very annoying and overdone. It's still an impressive costume, but don't think it's a real robot.

that cant be a guy in a suit, think about it, he would have to be very short, so his arms wouldent fit into the robots arms, his legs would have to bend in 2 directions, and he would have to controll the head somehow.

and when does metal look that smooth and round. metal is shiny and hard i think the cosume is made out a type of plastic. if you look closely at the robots elbow you see a tube where the humans arms are the same for the waist

The movements looked like it was someone inside, and the "Mirror" on the chest looks suspiciously like a stealthy viewing unit, and the legs are thick enough for human legs, but also, for gyro;s of some nature.

I've seen my share of robots, and that is most definitely someone in a suit. What you don't see is the second person with a radio control for the head/ handler keeping an eye on things. The spectators rarely look for them, it's a common ruse used in magic tricks.
