  • People this is but an application of swarm robotics, nanotechnology (self propelling nanobots in water) and biochemistry. Shows us the need to impart knowledge in inter-disciplinary fashion in the schools/colleges of tomorrow.

  • This is RETARDED! straw already does this ... just have to go out there and use it to collect oil.

  • @TheOriginalEntz No - Straw doesn't separate oil from water. It'll absorb a lot, but it doesn't separate.

  • It's one of a few good ideas that they haven't done yet. Many things have been proposed but BP has been allowed to dictate how the cleanup had progressed. I think we should just do it and send them a bill.
