  • There were no dance orchestra in 1960 more danceable than Welk's. Certainly none more talented, better directed or staged. Gotta love those six brassmen, full strings and reeds. Myron's rhythm men really dress it all up.

    Here a very pleased and humble 57 year old bandleader quickly "stomps off" his biggest and best...ever. How sweet it was, too.
